Book Review: DEVOLUTION by Max Brooks

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening....whenever it is you have found this entry.   Today, 2020-12-18, I finished the lastest book from Max Brooks, Devolution.

As the ash and chaos from Mount Rainier’s eruption swirled and finally settled, the story of the Greenloop massacre has passed unnoticed, unexamined . . . until now. The journals of resident Kate Holland, recovered from the town’s bloody wreckage, capture a tale too harrowing—and too earth-shattering in its implications—to be forgotten. In these pages, Max Brooks brings Kate’s extraordinary account to light for the first time, faithfully reproducing her words alongside his own extensive investigations into the massacre and the legendary beasts behind it. Kate’s is a tale of unexpected strength and resilience, of humanity’s defiance in the face of a terrible predator’s gaze, and, inevitably, of savagery and death.

Sounds interesting. right?  From here on out expect spoilers

The story is that of a town cut off from society both on purpose and by natural disaster.  A perfect island to itself with deliveries from the homeland... until those deliveries don't come anymore.  Cut off from everything the town of people not prepared to fend for itself does...until a foe even worse than a volcano comes to their doorstep...and it has teeth, empty stomaches, and very VERY large feet!

A tribe of Bigfoot (Bigfeet?) find some nice easy pray they think but war breaks out.  It is the story of a group of people going from the scared prey to the hunters.  People growing from the fear and into hunters and warriors.

Much like other Max Brook flicks it has pop culture references, well-written realistic dialog/thoughts and even a few laughs.  It takes a while for the book to get its feet under itself...so to speak and no pun intended.  It has a nice build but I found it went just slightly too long before the true danger showed up.  It felt like Jaws, where you go just that bit too long without the shark.  The build, once the danger is, is done so well and at times I could feel my own heart pounding as things happened and at one point wanted to scream at the book like people do horror movies!  "DON'T GO IN THERE!"

It got to the point where I even had my own bigfoot attack dream which is not something my brain does very often so well done!  The final battle was so well done that I read it twice.  It is so cinematic in its descriptions that I could picture it all and had to read it twice.  Hell, even at the slow points, I could re-read this book right now and not be disappointed.

If you want a well written book that is a diary format with interview cut in (and damn Max can write an "interview") pick this up!

2020-12-17 Main Event

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening....whenever it is you have found this entry.  Today, 2020-12-18, I am checking out last nights WWE Main Event.  We are going into TLC this week so I expect a big push!
  • 45 time champion?  Really?  That is it?
  • I liked it when they put up subtitles for Truth's rapping
  • If it was not for this title would Truth still be employed?
  • A bouncy castle?
  • Orton and Wyatt, two of the best promos going today!
  • I know I hated this version of Bray early on but I love it!  I love the crazy Bray and evil Fiend.  Everything about it
  • Bray's old rocking chair?
  • Why does Randy constantly burn all of Bray's nice things?
  • Why is no one stopping Randy?  He is trying to kill a man!
  • I love the use of the Mandible Claw, my second favorite hold after the Cross Face Chicken Wing
  • Why did they change Lacey back to this character after the empowering women character at Mania?
  • I hate and love Lacey's trunks at the same time
The Truth stuff is goofy but fun and Lacey and Nikki had an okay match.  I am honestly surprised they still do main event, my guess is the Hulu contract is good money!  Overall not worth checking out unless you like Truth, Evans or Cross!

RESULTS
  • Interview:  R-Truth (24/7 Champion) & Drew Gulak
  • 24/7 Match
  • History:  Kevin Owens & Roman Reigns (Universal Champion)
  • History:  Randy Orton & Bray Wyatt & Th Fiend
  • Segment:  Payton Royce & Lacey Evans
  • Nikki Cross def. Lacey Evans
  • History:  Carmella & Sasha Evans (Smackdowns Women's Champion)
  • History:  Drew McIntyre (WWE Champion) & AJ Styles

2020-12-08 NWA Shockwave Ep. 2

Good morning, good afternoon....good evening whenever it is you have found this entry.  Today, 2020-12-10, I am checking out the latest NWA show Shockwave from Dec. 8th.  I have not really kept up with the NWA during the Pandemic so I am excited to see what is going on.  I really liked what I saw prior to the end of the world so I think I will like this too!
  • Joe Gali's "announcer" voice is kind of annoying
  • No ring entrances....that is weird
  • I do like Kamille, she has a great look
  • Brickhouse is a horrible nickname!
  • CeeCee, as the announcers are calling her, needs to get better ring gear, I do not care to see her ass.  That goes with most women with their asses hanging out
  • That is not a splash in the corner that is an avalanche!  When did we stop that name?
  • Kamille also needs to change her gear slightly in my opinion, she needs more of those gladiator type things that she has some of
  • Those are ugly kicks by Simone, Kamille had her hands up and it was way too obvious
  • Uggg, can we ban the spear from everyone but Roman Reigns for the next five years!
  • I do love me some Aaron Stevens!!
  • No one has changed Watts since 1987 and that was for Bill
  • I wonder why Drake has not been picked up by NXT at this point.  He can talk for sure and is not bad in the ring either
  • I have to say these guys are having a really good match and Watts is holding his own
  • Interesting using the fallaway slam when he is not a power guy it seems
  • I like the idea of working on Drakes back and he is doing it well
  • I like the camera men with masks
  • I know some people do not like the ramp up to the ring but I always have.
  • I do not know who these announcers are but I am willing to be a lot of people have powerslammed Watts
  • Watts is almost 7 feet tall?  Really?
  • Nice sitout chokeslam but that should only be used as a finisher
  • No follow up to that match between Drake and Watts?
  • Will Kelly pull out a bloody tampon do you think?
  • Uggg, I hate Kelly's gear
  • Wait Kelly was at home crying because of a six-month injury?  I thought she said 6 years!
  • I hate random somersaults and flips in matches
  • Seriously did Kelly's gear get lost so she is wrestling in her Lingerie?
  • I am very impressed with these two even with Kellys questionable past and gear choices
  • Is there an official in this match?  They have been on the outside for what feels like five minutes!
A really good show.  I like the presentation with the wrestlers starting in the ring, while the entrances are interesting right now without the audience why have it?  I think all of the matches were a little long.  Kamille should have destroyed CeeCee/Simone (why were they calling her both names?).  I am talking Goldberg like.  That is how she should be booked till she challenges Thunder Rosa for the title.  Drake and Watts, while fine for what it was went long too as I said above Drake just is not sympathetic since we know his persona.  Lastly, the Main event just went on forever!  Both women worked very hard and were very good in the ring it needed to lose about half the match.  And then for it to end the way it did move wise....that is the problem with modern wrestling.  They do everything they do in the match and then a simple modified slam is the finish?  But overall a very solid show and I am being a bit picky to be honest.

Results
  • Kamille def. Simone Sherie
  • Interview:  Aaron Stevens (NWA National Champion)
  • Eli Drake def. Watts
  • Interview:  Priscilla Kelly
  • Thunder Rosa (NWA Womans Champion) def. Priscilla Kelly for the Title

Classic Wrestling Review: 1994-02-05 SMW

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening....whenever it is you have found this entry.  Today, because I am in a shitty mood, I am watching some good old school wrestling in Smoky Mountain.

  • I am not a fan of the Moondogs...also I do not get why this is allowed
  • Has Corny ever explained that
  • I guess they are just always DQ'd per Bob but still stupid but it is what the Dogs have been doing at this point for twentyish years
  • I was never a fan of the Harris Boys....well except maybe as Creative Control in WCW because it fit
  • Why doesn't Terry have his ECW title?
  • I think I said this last time but what is Dory wearing?
  • Also, I thought Terry was fighting the Bullet not Bob Armstrong
  • I love these old school promos.  No back and forth and fake sound verbiage.  Just a guy saying he is going to beat another guy
  • Bobby Blaze...I think the first time I have seen him in SMW.  I remember him in three or four years later on WCWSN
  • Those are awful trunks by Blaze!
  • I like that he was on the balls of his feet to help keep Keys down
  • Did Candido just throw ice water on Tracey?  Weird!
  • I do miss Dirty Dutch.  He was always so damn good
  • DWB made you believe what he was saying
  • Candido was so smooth
  • Not quite the Cactus Jack elbow drop by Candido there
  • It is too bad Smothers never got a good run nationally
  • You cannot use a piledriver damn it Candido!  THAT IS ILLEGAL!
  • I like that they are making this seem like a serious thing.  Now a piledriver is the opening move on the floor and 30 seconds later the guy is doing a dive onto ten people who are just standing there waiting for it
  • Tammy did not quite have that swagger yet that she had later as Sunny
  • Prime Time was kind of chubby in the face
  • Corny is always so damn good
  • THIS IS NOT KELLER AND MELTZER!!
  • It is amazing how well the Bodies jived together
  • Dutch is right, Ricky is stupid!
A decent show.  Very promo heavy with Sunday Bloody Sunday coming up a little over a week from then.  I liked the show but not as much as other shows.  Felt very much like a place holder show aside from the main event.  I could watch those two teams every day and twice on Sunday!

1994-02-05 WCW Power Hour

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening....whenever it is you found this entry.  Once again we are going back to 1994, this time to the Power Hour edition from Feburary 5th.  Will we get a follow up on the Thunderdome match being postponed?  Let's go to the tape!
  • Bischoff and Flair?  WHAT THE FUCK?  This was a drastic change in hosts
  • Vader shoved the hell out of Ricky Steamboat!
  • The Red Rooster is going to beat up Barry Goldberg....balls
  • Taylor vs. Austin on Saturday Night?  Yes please!
  • I do not remember Terry wrestling this late in his career, so odd
  • Sugar Daddy almost looks like Ice Train.  He is a big man
  • Dibacco is not a small man either!
  • I love that they have to make stuff up to cover up the fact that this match was taped prior to the unmasking on Saturday Night
  • Road Dogg sure knew how to pick his trunks in 1994!
  • I think both of these guys are vastly underrated.  The Godwinns are guilty pleasures
  • Goof?  Vader?  Good grief you are going to get hurt very bad
  • How do you not like Fried Chicken Bischoff?
  • Pillman will pay for what he did to Col Parker!
  • I was never a fan of Pillman, just never did it for me.  Not sure why because he was good but was always missing something for my taste
  • Is that the worst "Indian War Dance" ever done in wrestling?
  • I think I said this when this aired on Worldwide but this proves that Regal is one of the best ever with him making you believe Norris might win
  • Sting vs. Regal on WCWSN?  Well I am looking forward to that show now!
I hate that the Power Hour is just Worldwide with new announcers but it is a good show.  I am really enjoying 1994 honestly....well aside from ECW thus far.  WCW has the best in-ring action.  SMW has the best angles and promos.  WWF is that warm spot for me because this is when my fandom was really growing for them...plus the Rocket Owen Hart!  USWA is Lawler and that is never a bad thing.  Then there is ECW.  Prove me wrong guys prove me wrong!

RESULTS
  • Recap:  WCW Saturday Night
  • Terry Taylor def. Bill Payne
  • Cactus Jack/Maxx Payne def. Sugar Daddy/Mike Dibacco via Submission
  • Flashback:  Wrestlewar 1989:  Ric Flair def. Ricky Steamboat (WCW World Champion) for the title

  • Brian Pillman def. Bob Cook
  • Superbrawl Control Center:  Brian Knobbs & Jerry Sags (WCW Tag Team Champions/Cactus Jack & Maxx Payne

2020-11-13 Smackdown

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening....whenever it is you have found this entry.  Today, 2020-11-15, I am checkng out last Friday's WWE Smackdown.  I will admit I have not been keeping up the last few months on everything.  I know we are a week away from Survivor Series, my second favorite PPV of the year (although I miss the old format of all elimination matches).  I am not sure what is on the show other than I believe we get a Drew McIntyre vs. Jey Uso match.  I caught part of the first segment.  Enough talk...I think it is time to layeth the smacketh down!
  • I like Roman's new delivery
  • I still hate the Usos
  • This is NOT fair for Sami.  Obviously, someone is out to get him!
  • Why does Cole hate Sami?  Because he is willing to speak his mind?
  • I like Sami but hate his current hair for some reason
  • Dear lord that was stupid strength by Crews!
  • I really hate the pumped in noise
  • What a brilliant win!  I could watch Sami sneak victories like this for years
  • How and when would Sami come out there Cole?  Quit trying to attack the IC Champ!
  • We know that Dominic is not your kid Rey, Eddie told us that years ago
  • Uggg, Sasha Banks.....better go get my penicillin shot
  • They were not haters, they were just going off the fact that you could not retain.
  • Could someone just shut Sasha up?  Please?
  • ONE MAN CLUBBERING!!!  I love Corey at times
  • Am I the only one who has to say "The Greater Good" every time they say it like Hot Fuzz
  • Not a bad match thus far but this is not main eventing?  That does not make sense, it is the blow off match
  • This match would be more effective if we had not already seen Rey's eye taken out
  • What is up with Rey's gear?
  • Who did not see that coming?  Of course he turned on Seth
  • The BOAT?  Good grief
  • Too bad Green debuted and then got hurt right away
  • Why have Green debut if she was not going to win
  • Right there, that dropkick did it I think, injury to the wrist to cause surgery I believe
  • I like that Liv is getting a chance after that failed rebranding
  • I love me some Big E!  He is going to be a huge star
  • They are so fired up they start off...with a headlock?
  • Uso  with a superkick....shocker
I am writing this prior to the main event but so far this show has been.....well okay.  The opening segment was fine and while I like Roman this way I want to have more Paul talking and Roman only talking when he HAS to.  The Rollins crap is just crap.  I am tired of Rey Mysterio, when everyone is that size he is not special.  The best thing on the show was Sami Zayn and Big E from an entertainment stand point.  This did NOTHING to make me want to watch Survivor Series, maybe the main event will.

Update:  The main event did not change my mind.  I do not get the push for Uso.  They are average in the ring in my opinion.  With such a huge roster pushing the Usos, who constantly have outside the ring issues, confuses me.

RESULTS
  • Segment:  Roman Reigns (WWE Champion) & Paul Heyman/Drew McIntyre/Jey Uso

Classic Wrestling Review: 1994-02-01 ECW

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening....whenever it is you have found this entry.  Today, 2020-04-03, we are going back to the beginning of February 1994 to check out the next edition of ECW TV.  Will we follow up on Paul Diamond and the devastating spiked piledriver?  Lets find out!

  • Oh right, the Shiek is coming in to fight with Pat Tanaka...because...um....why not
  • Now we know the first concussion that Mikey got, that first chair shot from the Taskmaster
  • A tag in an ECW tag match?  Weird
  • Did anyone take a better ass-kicking than Mikey?  Maybe the Mulkey Brothers
  • Uggg, I hate those front row morons at the ECW Arena
  • It is weird to see this good looking version of Tommy Dreamer.  I am used to the 1998+ version, more hardcore and beat up version
  • Really nice Powerslam by Tommy!
  • I love the GIANT headset that Joey is wearing.
  • Could Johnny wear those trunks any higher!
  • What about the match that is happening?  Did I miss the pin?
  • Look at Jason's horrible haircut
  • Jason is annoying, and not in a good wrestling kind of way.  Very much in a I want to change the channel way
  • This version of the Public Enemy is not that entertaining
Once again another blah show in my opinion.  The matches are not good typically and the interviews are not either.  I get that at the time they were very different than WCW or WWF but that does not mean good.  Maybe I am wrong but so far ECW has been my least favourite shows of 1994

Raw 1994-01-31

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening....whenever it is you have found this entry.  Today, 2020-03-29, we are going to the last show of January 1994.  It is time to get Raw!  Tonight we find out who is going to face Yokozuna first at Wrestlemania.  Plus it is the 1-2-3 Kid taking on Johnny Polo!
  • It will be interesting to see how IRS does on commentary
  • Wait...the Kid is on crutches!  I guess he will not be taking on Johnny
  • Is there a better theme song than the Quebecers?
  • How is this legal?  Marty should be suspended and fined!
  • Polo might not be a full-time wrestler but he just beat Marty less than a month ago there Kid!
  • Polo does a great job of wrestling like a manager, it cannot be easy!
  • HE JUST TRIED TO BREAK POLO'S NECK!!
  • I do not understand, why does IRS wear suspenders AND a shirt, does he not understand how it works in wrestling?
  • THAT IS IRS GOLD!  RAZOR AND THE KID STOLE IT!!!
  • Miguel is in shape!  Round is a shape, right?
  • Is Miguel related to the Colons?  He sure does look like them
  • What was that?  A weird jumping kick.  Was it a botched Enziguri?
  • Once again Owen Hart gets screwed
  • Lex should not have been in the Royal Rumble, to begin with!  He blew his chance at Summerslam, I was there and he cheated with that loaded forearm!
  • Bret was hoping to win because he was afraid of the Rocket!
  • Did Bret ever face Flexy Lexy in the WWF?  They shot the angle at Wrestlemania 9 but did it ever happen?
  • OH MY GOD!  Who is that "Raw Girl" in the commercial!?
  • Was Bill Alfonso doing double duty with the WWF and ECW at this point?
  • Owen is right!  It is not about the family it is about how Bret tried to hold him down!
  • That explains it, I do not have any All American Wrestling and that seems to be where the Hart Brothers storyline is playing out
  • I think I have said it before but I would take these Raw girls over the Nitro Girls any day of the week and twice on Sunday!
  • QUAKE IS BACK!  I always like Quake...well after I got over him trying to destroy Hulkamania!
  • Quake was only back for a few months and by the end of the year was in WCW once again trying to destroy Hulkamania
  • DAMN!  That was a vicious hooked clothesline
  • This is going on way too long, Quake should have beat this guy in 90 seconds
  • IRS has done a really good job on commentary
  • Maybe my favourite powerslam!  This or Goldust
  • Every one of those fans are going to get an audit!
First off IRS did a fantastic job on commentary.  I would not want him every week but it was a great job for a guy who in WCW did not seem to have the ability to speak.  The Owen segment was great because well Owen was the best Hart on the mic.  The rest was just there for me.  It was all about the coin toss and starting what is now known as the march to Wrestlemania.  Not a bad show but nothing that jumped out either

RESULTS

  • Marty Jannetty def. Johnny Polo

2020-10-22 NXT UK

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening.....whenever it is you have found this entry.  Today, 2020-10-24, I am checking out the latest edition of NXT UK.  With everything going on I have not kept up with the show but wrestling is wrestling so I think it is time to find out what is going on across the pond!
  • It has been a while since I checked out NXT UK....and I still hate the theme song!
  • There is something about Eddie Dennis that bothers me, I think it is the body.  It just does not look right
  • Yeah I do not see Carter winning this match
  • That was a hell of a slap by Dennis
  • Dennis also has a horrible haircut and I know about horrible haircuts
  • 1 dive, I think I shall keep count
  • What was that?  A weird bodyslam?
  • 1 superkick
  • Nigel is a great announcer, he does the hype so well but is so informative
  • I like that WWE has started to us female refs for female matches
  • That was an ugly tackle and that is good because it felt real
  • Really slow cover by Amale there
  • I got slightly distracted during the match hopefully I did not miss a dive or superkick
  • uggg, I do not like Nina's character.  Did not work for Aiden English probably will not work for her either
  • Trent is looking much older and I like it
  • This will be weird for me with the rounds and such.  I remember some shows in the US, maybe AAW, back in the early 90's did it and it was weird
  • Did Williams just pull Seven up?
  • A lot of lanky guys on NXT UK
  • That DDT should have ended it
  • That was odd because when do people hit the ropes like Seven did there?
  • 2 Superkick
  • A contract signing I wonder if they will fight
  • It is weird that the Russian is the good guy!
  • JESUS WHAT A SLAP!
  • And there is the brawl
A decent show with a really good main event!  Eddie is decent and it was a good build up for next week with Webb and Andrews.  Im interested in knowing where that goes.  WALTER and Ilja will be a hard hitting match for sure.  Honestly the only thing that I found subpar was the womens match.  I will continue to watch when I have time and it was a good show.

RESULTS
  • Eddie Dennis def. Oliver Carter
  • Segment:  Eddie Dennis
  • Video:  Joey Coffey
  • Nina Samuels def. Amale
  • Interview:  Nina Samuels
  • Trent Seven def. Kenny Williams in a Heritage Cup Tournament Match 2 falls to 1
  • Contract Signing: WALTER (NXT UK Champion) & Ilja Dragunov

1994-01-30 Wrestling Challenge

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening....whenever it is you have found this entry.  Today, 2020-03-29, we are going back to the last WWF Challenge of January 1994.  We have Kwang, Sparky Plugg, the Bushwackers and more!

  • Bob Holly and Bad Barry Horowitz!  Yes, please!
  • Two very underrated wrestlers in my opinion.
  • Barry with some long hair at this point!
  • Sparky had a great dropkick, maybe he still does!
  • Sparky did not really do a great top rope splash
  • Lord Alfred had such a unique delivery at this point in his career
  • Man Lex and Bret did such a great job at this rumble
  • Adam Bomb sure was a big man
  • Is this the first time Gary was on WWF TV?
  • Gary, of course, was a mainstay in WCW/NWA as the Italian Stallion
  • Dear lord look at that dropkick!
  • I always forget how southern Adam Bomb was
  • Interesting finish with that slingshot clothesline
  • I do love the Bushwhackers in a guilty pleasure way
  • Borga was just rough looking all around
  • Samu sure was an ugly man!
  • They are just abusing Stryker
  • That was almost clubbering!!
  • Was Kwang always Savio Vega?
A decent show but nothing special.  The Debuts of Kwang and Sparky Plugg but honestly a completely pointless show otherwise.  None of the matches were great.  Unless you like one of these guys I would skip this show.

RESULTS

Ring of Honor 2020-10-16

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening....whenever you found todays entry.  Today, 2020-10-20, I am checking out out the most recent ROH show.  I know that means I skipped a few shows and I will eventually go watch them.  This was the latest on my DVR so it is getting the review treatment....

  • It'll be intresting to see how ROH does their show after COVID is over and the Pure Tourney is over
  • I like the promo by Jonathan
  • Is Tracy Williams the new Avatar?  Bonus points to those who get the reference
  • This is my second time seeing Yehi and hee does nothing for me.  I think it is the cocky smile that I have not seen him earn yet.  However I can see him growing on me
  • Seriously if I was Williams I would rip Fred's nose ring out
  • A really good match but the lack of knowledge on these two makes me less invested
  • I LOVE IT!  DRAGON SLEEPER IN THE ROPES!  Love that the rules are coming into play like that
  • Why does EC3 have two jackets on?
  • Well that promo did nothing for me which is sad
  • Why is the ref the only guy with a mask on?
  • I have never really been a fan of Black, but it has been a few years since I saw him.
  • I wish Silas was still in the tourny.
  • BANANA SPLIT!!
  • I do not want to hear kimura again I might scream
  • Silas should just go know Brian out
  • PJ barely got that cart wheel off
  • I am impressed by both of these guys
Another good show.  My lack of knowledge made me slightly less invested but still a really good show.  All four men are really good and the advancement PJ has had over the years really shows from his Justin Gabriel days in WWE.  Woods could be a big star on a bigger stage I think and ROH better work hard to keep him next time his contract comes up because you have to believe WWE will come a knocking.  I cannot wait for next week to see if we end up with a battle of tag team champions or is there an upset?

2020-09-25 ROH Review

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening....whenever it is you have found this entry.  Today, 2020-10-12, I am checking out the September 25th, 2020 episode of Ring of Honor.  Tonight we get to see Silas Young against Fred Yehi and Josh Woods taking on Kenny King.  I am a huge fan of Silas so I am excited to get to this so enough of my rambling!
  • I think this is the best opening on TV, the part about 2012 and whatnot.
  • I kind of like the Quinn McKay segments and the opening.  Makes it feels like a real sport
  • Who was David talking to off-camera?
  • ROH has the weirdest commercials during their show
  • Is Fred the face?  He came off really smarmy at the start of this interview, glad he got a little better as it went.  I think it is the look on his face.  Not sure if he should be a face or a cocky heel, we shall see
  • I hate his nose ring and I hope he does not wrestle with it in because a guy like Silas would rip it out the first chance he got
  • Silas is my favorite ROH talent I think.  I wish he would have gone to WWE for a run because I think he could be a big star on NXT
  • Oh I hate Fred's music
  • I love that Ian is explaining the rules...you know rules!
  • I like that they are both wrestling
  • How long has Caprice been doing commentary?  He might be the best color guy in wrestling.
  • Best commentary team in wrestling, they are treating it like real wrestling.  No screaming, no yelling, no laughing, no joking.  Just calling the action
  • I am surprised to say this but Silas should have sold more in that comeback after the crucifix.  Especially with his legs that were worked on
  • Yehi hitting the middle ropes is weird
  • The announcers got excited and it made me get excited but the went back to normal
  • I hate that Young does that headstand.  It is amazing but out of place for him
  • Josh Woods looks like another wrestler, who I can not put my finger on
  • I love this idea that Woods is coming back to teach King, it is not a wrestling angle and feels real
  • A decent promo by King, I liked the Master Splinter reference
  • King is out of place in this tournament.  The other guys' wrestle and King is a sports entertainer in my opinion
  • This "free chance" does not work without a crowd really
  • This show does not feel like an hour, it is great
  • If you cannot do the slide around do not do it Kenny
  • I love that the one punch meant something but what is going to happen when this is over and everyone is throwing punches and not selling like the last few weeks?
  • A little too much sports entertainment in this match
  • I love the announcers have I said that yet?
  • The Ring of Honor bubble?  First time I remember them using that phrase and again makes it feel like a real sport!
  • First time for the judges
Another really good show.  These have become my favorite shows currently.  I wish I had more time to keep up on this weekly and not be a few weeks behind.  I am disappointed that Silas is gone honestly because he is my favorite but it is about the young blood I assume.  I cannot wait for the next show!

Classic Wrestling Review: 1994-01-29 Worldwide

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening...whenever it is you have found this entry.  Today, 2020-03-28, We are finishing off January WCW shows with Worldwide.  Brian Pillman is on the show and Charlie Norris is taking on His Lordship Steven Regal!

  • Pillman just never did it for me as a babyface
  • Man I love this Vader
  • I like Cactus but man this team was just not good, and not because of Cactus!
  • Payne was just sloppy
  • I liked the future team of Jack and Sullivan better, it just fit better
  • It is interesting to see Terry Taylor on multiple shows this week.  I just do not remember him wrestling in 1994
  • I always like TT, I think he was his own worst enemy.  Plus he ended up with shit stain
  • Payne was in WCW off an on through 2000, he had a decent look aside from looking like Barry Goldberg/Jack Black
  • Sting was finally starting to do decent promos in 1994
  • If I could only watch one wrestler for the rest of life it would Steven Regal matches.  There honestly is none better in my opinion
  • Norris hit those ropes weird
  • Regal is just so damn smooth and makes it all look so damn good!
  • Look how good Regal is making Norris look
  • Norris never looked better than he did during this match, and that is because Regal is that damn good!
Not a great show aside from the Regal match.  He can make anyone, probably even me, look good in that ring.  Aside from that not worth checking out.  A very basic syndicated show.

Classic Wrestling Review: Saturday Night 1994-01-29

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening....whenever it is you have found this entry.  Today, 2020-03-28, I am checking out the WCW after the recent Clash of the Champions.  We will see Col Parker in a chicken suit, Bagwell and Scorpio challenge for the Tag Titles and more!  Plus, and most importantly, we get the debut of Bobby Heenan!!
  • Bobby Heenan debuts and it is awesome!
  • Terry Taylor back in the ring?  That is not a bad thing
  • Look how great and smart Orndorff was, pushing the ropes into the ring
  • My version of this show is clocking in at 2 hours and 30 minutes so it is an extra-large edition of WCWSN!
  • Roma had an excellent power slam
  • Illegal is a sick bird....awesome!
  • Watts and Taylor could have been a decent team
  • I forget how great Austin was prior to his broken neck
  • The one thing that this era of WCW I do not like is that the enhancement matches started to get a little long
  • Boone was in good shape but was just a little small
  • This match was sloppy but I like that it looked like a fight
  • Pretty sure if I saw my name opposite of Vader I would run.  Rumour has it a lot of people did
  • Nelson could have hurt himself there, as he did not go up correctly
  • I love the Harlem Heat music!
  • Dustin was easily an MVP in 1994
  • The fans are digging this match
  • I like how much the Equalizer changed his look when he became Evad
  • I really REALLY miss the Brain
  • It is interesting that Stevie Ray is the one taking the beating
  • SPINARONI but it did not make sense
  • This match is really taking too long.  If they cannot beat these guys quickly how long will it take in Thunderdome?  A week?
  • I wish we could have seen a Dustin Rhodes vs. Booker T feud in their primes!
  • I had a birthday during that match, good grief it was long.  Good but way too long
  • Bob Cook was a great enhancement talent
  • Jungle Jim not so much
  • The Thesz Press was just awful
  • I love that Bobby accidentally called him Big Boss Man
  • I love that this is extremely embarrassing for Col Rob
  • The fans are absolutely loving this!!
  • Two of my favourites, Eaton and Boss Man
  • Sadly they will not mention their history
  • The best punch in the history of the profession, Bobby Eaton
  • Much like the 6 man earlier, this is taking too long.  I love Bobby Eaton but he is not a top talent at this point
  • Look how Bobby took the Boss Man Slam, made it look vicious
  • Couldn't be Gordon, he is walking straight!  I love Bobby!
  • Both of these guys were underrated performers, especially Henry O. Godwinn
  • I love that Bobby is going to tell us why he left the WWF....but only on the hotline!
  • How many people in this audience were plants?  That guy in the shirt and tie seems like it
  • Missy does not look happy
  • Much better tights on Bagwell and Scorpio then at the Clash
  • Scorpio makes the Nasty look amazing on offence or defence, it is great
  • Bagwell has a great punchable face
  • How does a splash on the arm work or hurt anyone but the splashee?
  • Good grief Scorpio hit hard on the apron!
  • Notice Sags did the "tag" sound?  That is why they were a great classic team
  • Then Knobbs did it, love it!  I miss real tag team wrestling
  • Bagwell did throw a good punch back then, he got lazier it seems as he went further in his career
  • Bagwell screwed his finisher up!

A really good show with all good matches, most too long, but all good.  I know people didn't love WCW at this point storyline-wise but the performers were all good to great and many would go on to be mainstays in the WWF for some time.  I think that the main thing was the lack of pacing but overall a good show and worth checking out if you have the time...and let us be honest we all have time to kill right now!

2020-09-18 ROH review

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening...whenver it is you have found this entry.  Today, 2020-09-26, I am checking out the latest episode of Ring of Honor from the 19th of September 2020.  I have not followed ROH regularly for a while but I know they are starting their Pure Title tournament to get back to new TV.  So with that let us go to the tape!

  • I already like the new intro talking about what the company was founded on, wrestling
  • How old is Quinn?  16?
  • Is Todd Sinclair going to have a heart attack?
  • Delirious is wrestling huh?
  • Why do people like Sydel so much?  I do not get it
  • David looks nothing like his dad
  • I wonder if this match will get me to be a fan of Rocky because I have never been one of his
  • Well I hate Rocky's intro music
  • I like the rope break count, the timer on the screen as it gives it a real sport feel
  • Why did Finlay hit the suplex instead of his finisher Trash Panda?
  • Coleman is surprisingly good on commentary
  • That slice break counter was a little sloppy
  • 15-minute time limit, interesting
  • I missed the stats in the first match.  I like that
  • Are Sydal and Dolph Ziggler related?
  • Todd Sinclair needs a better haircut good grief it is almost distracting!
  • Why would the guy who leapfrogged run to the ropes?  That does not make sense
  • Delirious shoulders were not on the mat, did Todd's fat or hair get in his eyes?
That was a very good wrestling show.  A little slow because it is just wrestling with no real gaga so it is odd.  However, having been a few hours waiting and thinking to write this part, it is a really good show!  If I had more time I would go watch last weeks show but time is not always on my side!

Classic Wrestling Review: 1994-01-29 USWA

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening....whenever it is you found this entry.  Today, 2020-03-28, I am checking out the last USWA of January 1994, the 29th.  As I have said before I am not really knowledgeable of Memphis wrestling or the USWA but anytime I can hear Lawler talk it is winning so enough of my talking and let us get to his!
  • PG-13, the Lawler/Christopher Team, the Gilberts...yeah this is good stuff!
  • Uggg, Triple B is just bad, luckily he did not talk during this interview
  • Anthony looks quite a bit like an Armstrong facially....
  • I love how the fans were always into the faces and not the "smart" fans that we hear now aways.  They would be chanting fight forever not Go Mike Go.  I hate modern fans
  • Is Kevin Christian also one of King's sons?
  • Todd Morton has the worst ring gear, I am just going go wear a leather duster because dusters are cool.  This is not Always Sunny Todd!
  • Is it weird these guys are as tall as JC Ice?
  • I wonder if it is hard to wrestle in those full body suits, they cannot breath
  • Yeah I would use the Hubcap not the briefcase unless it has bricks in it
  • Obviously setting up a strap match or country whipping match
  • What is up with those trunks Eddie?
  • How great was Eddie Gilbert?  It is sad how forgotten he is
  • We need more ether angles in wrestling!
  • Vine went up like a bag of wet cement
  • That was an ugly combo
  • Todd Morton looks like a weird bizzaro Chris Jericho
  • Belt on a pole match, I was not too far off on the PG-13 angle
  • Reggie B. Fine was entertaining for sure!
  • what does brian have on his trunks?  Kiss off?  Not really a babyface phrase
  • That is a brainbuster or ghostbuster as Koko used to call it, not a powerbomb there Cory Macklin!
  • Wow Bert was large and in charge
Another fun USWA show.  Yes you have the Lawlers and Gilberts all over the place but they were the draws so why not.  However everyone on the show looks good and the matches are a good lengthy.  Nothing too long and it was all about getting you to go to their live shows.  I miss territory wrestling the more I watch USWA or SMW from this time period!  Overall a fun show and worth checking out for the Gilbert and Lawler promos alone!

Movie Review: Antebellum

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening....whenever it is you have found this entry.  Today, 2020-09-19, I watched the new flick Antebellum.  From the producers of Us and Get out.  It stars Janelle Monáe, Eric Lange and Jena Malone.  "Successful author Veronica Henley finds herself trapped in a horrifying reality and must uncover the mind-bending mystery before it's too late."

There will be no play by play tonight as I just sat and watched this confusing flick.  As this flick is wrapping up I am typing this review.  This flick is rather confusing but mostly well done.  I cannot fault the actors as they were great in it.  Especially the stars.

However, it ended up being very confusing and convoluted.

From here on out expect spoilers for the flick.  The flick appears to be taking place in Civil War days when suddenly the star suddenly wakes up in bed in modern times so I am thinking it is time travel or scrying or something like that.  Then other people from the Civil War days start to show up and I think it is timelines crashing together or something like that.  Then the star is kidnapped and wakes back up in the Civil War times so I completely confused till the Civil War General goes out and answers a cell phone.  Then I am thinking it is an alternative timeline colliding.  Nope, nothing like that.  Just a bunch of white folks who kidnapped a bunch of black folks and hide in a Civil War reenactment camp that I guess no one goes to but these white folks.  Yeah.  They hid basically in plain sight with a bunch of kidnapped black slaves where they killed people and no one knew.  Yep.

I saw someone say something like too long for too little story and it is true.  If this was an episode of Twilight Zone it would have been great.  105 minutes was about 45 minutes too long.  All of her past life stuff was too much and drug out.

Overall this flick gets a slightly lower than average flick, going with 5/10.  If you like suspense type flicks worth checking out.

Classic Wrestling Review: 1994-01-29 Superstars

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening...whenever it is you found today's entry.  Today, 2020-03-27, I am going back once again to 1994 to watch the January 29th WWF Superstars.  The Royal Rumble was just a week ago.  Will Owen Hart explain why he is the better Hart?  I hope so, but enough hoping and let's get to watching!
  • I love Jack Tunney, mostly because he looks like my Grandpa Bennett!
  • This was a unique "tournament" style Mania.  I understand why they did not go with it again but it was different and cool
  • It is amazing how young Vinnie Mac looks, I know it is 1994 but it is shocking every time I see it
  • MOM was just awful, I am sorry but they were
  • The future Bob Holly!  One of my personal favourites
  • Not the best splash but the fans were excited which is the point
  • Wow....that was the worst guest ring announcer and I love that Vince mocked her!
  • Big Daddy Cool looked much better once he grew that mullet out!
  • The fans loved Tatanaka still at this point.  He, however, would lose steam when hey turned him heel which just did not fit
  • I love those 1994 Jeff Jarrett outfits!
  • I saw him pull Double J's hair
  • Poor Sid and Leroy are in trouble
  • Samu always seemed really rough while Fatu seemed to be working
  • What the hell was Leroy trying to do?
  • Scotty was still a good looking baby face at this point and Rick was Rick.  Always liked the guys from the Mighty MI!
A good show but the lack of followup with the Hart Brothers boggles my mine.  Jeff Jarrett was one of the best in 1994.  He made Knox look like a million bucks.  No reason to go out of your way to see this show but if you are bored there are worse ways to waste 45 minutes

Classic Wrestling Review: 1994-01-29 SMW

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening....whenever it is you have found this entry.  Today, 2020-03-27, we are going back to 1994 once again.  This time we are going to the Smoky Mountains for the last SMW show of January.  I am sure we will see some Jim Cornette, some Rock and Roll and others so to the ring!
  • Spicolli and Candido, this could be good!
  • Did Hugh Morris steal his tights from Spicolli?
  • Young Spicolli was so good before his bad habits got to him
  • Seriously you did not see this version of Spicolli as Rad Radford sadly
  • Tammy could hold me Bob!
  • Oh my god!  Dennis is so bad it is good!
  • This is when Corny was really starting to put on weight
  • What in the blue hell is Dory wearing?!?!
  • I am not looking forward to seeing the Bruise Brothers vs. Moondogs, not my style of wrestling
  • How great are the RNR together with Corny?  Amazing!
  • RNR were not getting paid by the hour
  • Dirty White Boy sure made it believable!
I am sure I sound bias but I am really enjoying SMW over ECW.  ECW comes off as heavily edited for stuff and SMW seems mostly direct to tape.  Plus, and maybe I am just an old school southern wrestling fan at heart and didn't know it, but I love the promos.  They feel real.  Take the ECW Public Enemy promo, that felt forced.  Talking about the cops but in a weird sing-song voice.  The wrestling is better as well.  This is what I miss about wrestling!

2020-08-17 OVW TV 1096 - "Anarchy Rumble"

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening....whenever it is you have found this entry.  Today, 2020-08-17, I am checking out the lastest Ohio Valley Wrestling episode, uploaded to YouTube today!  I have not constantly watched OVW, or sadly any wrestling, for a while and I am trying to change that.  I have no clue who is on the OVW roster or anything like that but enough waiting I am ready to rumble...Anarchy style!
  • At least some of those guys looked like adults!
  • What record does Rozell in the NCAA?
  • I do not like the lighting OVW is using
  • Nice Submission by Rozell
  • I like the idea of the smaller Dimes haveing Bradley has his insurance, old school idea
  • The fanny pack kid?
  • Okay, I hope Bradley hits the Boom Stick quick.  This gimmick is awful and screams indy wrestling
  • The American Dream and the Fanny Pack Kid should never be within three sentences of each other ever again guys
  • This has gone on too long
  • Bradley hits a Wastelands which we have not seen for a while
  • 8/10 is 4/5 and it sounds better Mr. Annoucer who we do not know if we are new viewers
  • Two adult looking guys in the ring, weird
  • Rupiper needs better gear or I need to know why he is in cut off shorts and such
  • No one takes pride of being in Indiana!  LIAR!
  • Pillman is showing up everywhere but WWE where he should be!
  • Will Pillman get beat in his debut like on AEW?
  • Ugg, I hate that run into the other corner but not be hurt thing that everyone does now
  • So Pillman is using the Jackhammer in OVW
  • Gunn should trim that goatee!
  • So it is a Royal Rumble, got it...wait till the end it becomes a regular match
  • Everyone brings a weapon...this is over the top!
  • Josh Ashcraft is still around?  Why?
  • The bell just range, need to watch the two minutes thing a little closer
  • Uggg, this is just stupid and not entertaining
  • Wait...who is the Jason looking guy?  I think I like him!
  • What is with Lutz trunks?
  • I am not saying much because there is little going on
  • Honestly, I think I would fast forward this if I was not doing this review
  • I like that Melvin was not letting Dan just set up the table, because he should not!
Well, that was not a good show.  I honestly would have shut it off.  Having three announcers was not good.  Keep Shannon and whoever did the interview for Dustin and cut the other guy.  Keep doing what you did for the first half of the show.  Good matches, although I would have had Bradely win in a more dominate style and given Rupiper a little more of a ahowing.  Then we have the second half of the show, the Rumble.  I would never do that again.  It was not entertaining nor was it good.  It was slow and plotting and mostly guys laying around.  The fans in the arena are either badly mic'd or silent especially then.  Honestly, I do not think I would have let that match see air.  I hope OVW can pick this up and give us better stuff because I want to like the show.

Timeline: Daniel Bryan and Miz

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening....whenever it is you have found this entry.  Today I am checking out the first of the new WWE (not Kayfabe Commentaries) Timeline.  I believe it is with Daniel Bryan and the Miz.  Not sure what to expect here!
  • OH MY GOD LOOK AT YOUNG MIKEY!
  • Look at the original NXT roster
  • D-Bry looks so young!
  • Ryback, Wade Barrett, Heath Slater, Darren Young, it is awesome
  • I love how long this feud went
  • Good grief Josh Matthews looked like a jackass even then
  • I did not realize just how much their careers actually paralleled
  • Man I loved that face off on talking smack
  • Why?  Because it felt REAL
This was a fine show but honestly without interviews with the people involved this show was just there.  I am very disappointed with this honestly because it could have been so much more.  Maybe the others will be better.

2020-07-31 Smackdown

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening...whenever it is you found todays entry.  Today, 2020-08-05, I am checking out the latest, to date, Smackdown.  I know we have an appearance from The Fiend, an IC title match and more so enough typing, I think it is time for fighting!
  • I LOVE BRAY WYATT!
  • I miss good ring announcers
  • Does anyone think that AJ is going to lose here?
  • I am not sure I like the piped-in crowd noise
  • Have we seen a ref bump with a female ref?
  • If not do we need one occasionally just to give the illusion it could happen
  • Seriously this crowd noise does not make sense
  • Nice move by Gran with the sweep of the legs
  • Is it odd that Styles is a flat earther?  I find it weird
  • I like that Styles has a few finishers
  • A really good match; so good I forgot to write comments!
  • I really hate that belt!
  • Corbin has really improved over the years, especially after he cut his hair
  • This barroom brawl should be at Tim Whites bar!
  • Celebrating in his own personal way?  Is that with a drink or three Cole?
  • Seriously Corbin is great on the mic!
  • I love me some Gulak!
  • Cole, you mean when Gulak Pearl Harbored the King!
  • Is that the Lebell Lock?
  • What is this guy doing here?  Riddle has not reason to be out there!
  • What is with everyone attacking the King from behind?  HE IS THE KING!
  • Wait?  Chad Gable?  There could be a knighthood in this for him!
  • His name is Chad Cole!
  • I cannot wait for Big E's single run.  I think he should be fighting for the title at Mania next year
  • Wait....Miz has only held 19 titles?  I honestly thought it would be higher
  • I kind of hope that they leave the plex up if they ever have fans in the area again
  • Is there a worse look then a man bun?  Not that I know of
  • As much as I hate the moves on the apron the splash by Big E is great
  • I hate it when guys run to the corner and hit it before running and hitting their opponent in the opposite corner.  Why does it hurt if your opponent does it but not when you do it yourself.  It is the little things guys
  • When was the last time someone submitted to the Figure Four?
  • How strong do you have to be to do that?  Big E for Champion!
  • So Lacey is back to being a heel?  She is going to end up with as many turns as Big Show
  • Feel the Glow feels like an STD you can get
  • Uggg, what was that?  Something she should NOT be doing for sure.  Sorry, Naomi, I don't think either you or Lacey are experienced enough for that
  • Did Mandy Rose have some work done?
  • I cannot wait till Sonya moves on to another feud.  She has MONEY written on her I think
  • I love heel Bayley...and hate anything Sasha
  • If I see Sasha tweet to Mr. McMahon one more time I might vomit.
  • Nikki is so different than anyone else in WWE
  • Sasha has X-Pac heat with me, just go away!
  • Really liked that closing sequence!
  • Another person just turned on Alexa!  It is just sad the way people turn on the Goddess
  • OH DEAR GOD NO!  THIS IS YOUR FAULT BRAUN!
  • WHERE ARE YOU STROWMAN!
I do not know how this was received but I really loved this show almost top to bottom!  AJ is great!  Corbin is Great!  The Fiend segment with Bliss has SO many ways it could go.  Hardy looks better than he has in a long time.  Big E is going to be a breakout star I think.  I know people are down on WWE right now but man that was a good show and did not feel like 90 mintues!

2020-07-21 Impact

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening....whenever it is you have found this entry. Today, the last day of July in the worst year in history 2020, I am going to check out the recent Impact show.  It has been a long, long, LONG time since I have checked out an episode of Impact Wrestling so I have no clue what is going on on their show but lets go to the tape!
  • I think someone said this on twitter but is EC3 the long lost son of Kurrgan?
  • Uggg, so Josh Matthews is still on show....
  • Seriously it is Josh and Madison Rayne as our announcers?  Lets hope it is not as bad as it sounds
  • Mack channeling Screaming Norman with that slam on the floor
  • I have come to the point that I hate to see tattoos on wrestlers
  • Bey is a hell of an athlete I will say that
  • Does Matthews have the Shawn Michaels eye thing?  He looks as bad as Perry Saturn or Jim Duggan!
  • Where did they find that mic?  The 90's?
  • No we all pretty much knew you were going to Impact Machine Gun brother
  • No, you are not the best tag team in the world, that is FTR sorry guys, nothing wrong with being number two to that team!
  • What is that?  Ace Austin?
  • Ace nor Karl were good on the mic tonight sorry
  • I am kind of sorry to see that Heath had to go to Impact
  • Ugggg, this segment iwth Chris Bey is bad
  • These two feel like bad Sasha cosplay wrestlers
  • These four already look better than half of the AEW female stars
  • I love Havoc, always have!
  • Nevaeh has been wrestling for 16 years?  Is Steelz and Hogan that green because she looked bad at points
  • Oh my god I hate Katie Forbes already!
  • Well that was nearly pointless, guess Hernandez is not long for this world
  • No one said the Machine Guns invented tag team wrestling I don't thin
  • What have they done to Kylie Rae?
  • Does every company have an open challenge champion now?
  • I forgot how good EY is on the mic
  • Trey Miguel getting a title shot feels like when Bret Hart wrestler Virgil
  • Does anyone think that Bahh is going to win this match?
  • Did Rosemary just wink at the camera basically?
  • Wow more teleporting in wrestling, good grief
  • Crazy Steve is back....and he talks?
  • Wrestle House?  GOOD GRIEF!
  • Quite a few Michigan boys on the show and I like to see the Mighty MI represent!
  • Those are some ugly belts!
  • Shelley and Sabin are so damn good.  I wonder why they have not been signed to NXT honestly
  • This team of the North is pretty good in the ring.  I have only seen then once maybe but I like them!
  • Quit saying this team or that team is the best team in the world, that is FTR damn it!
  • I love the Norths teamwork, same with the Guns.  These are tag teams!
  • Sabin a little show to get to the top there and made Page look kind of silly just standing there
  • I say this a lot but there sure are more somersaults in wrestling than I ever remember
  • This ref is pointless
  • Very nice finishing sequence!
Overall not a bad show.  The Knockouts tag match was bad and Katie Forbes made me want to puncture my eardrums.  The "Wrestle House" looks bad as well, WWE bad.  The announcing...well it was there right?  I have heard worse at times.  Overall I am interested in seeing where they go with some familiar faces and some possible talent.

Classic Wrestling Review: 1994-01-29 Power Hour

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening...whenever it is you have found this entry.  Today, 2020-03-27, I am going back to 1994 once again for the last Power Hour of January.  I believe this show will be the same as last weeks Worldwide but we shall see, I am going to watch and probably repeat myself.  I did see we are going to see Hogan....Randy Hogan vs. Vader to start off which I know we saw before.  But we are in the middle of a pandemic and this is a great way for me to shut my mind off with some old school wrastlin' as it were so enough chit chat....
  • Hogan's brother is taking on Vader!  Now we know why the Hulkster shows up in a few months
  • I like that they are talking about the Clash even though we know this match aired prior to this
  • Terry Taylor was not a good announcer most of the time
  • Seriously Vader looked like he hurt people....that is because he did
  • Bagwell had horrible rhythm even for a white dude
  • Even back at this point, Bagwell came off as a heel.  He is not very likeable
  • Well that was not quite perfect but he did a pretty fisherman suplex
  • I like that Larry talks about Mike "working for the Government".  Man I love Larry
  • Michael Hayes was not bad as an announcer, always surprised we did not see him do it more in WWF
  • Sting was really over at this point and listen to that crowd!
  • Damn is there a better flying clothesline than Rotunda?
  • Payne looks a little bit like Barry Goldberg
  • The Cole Twins just never took off
  • They probably should have had better hair cuts and been heels.  Why have twins that do not cheat with "Twin Magic"
Yeah, this was just another show.  Other than the Vader match nothing to see here.

RESULTS
  • Vader def. Randy Hogan vis countout
  • Too Cold Scorpio/Marcus Bagwell def. Nasty Ned/The Claw
  • Superbrawl Control Center:  Steven Regal (WCW TV Champion) & Sir William/Arn Anderson
  • WCW Flash Back:  Sting def. Mike Rotunda (WCW TV Champion) for the Title
  • Erik Watts def. Bill Payne via Submission
  •  Keith Cole/Kent Cole def. Bob Cook/Bill Tyree
  • Brian Knobbs/Jerry Sags (WCW Tag Team Champions) def. Ken Kendall/Frank Rose
