2019-12-30 Raw review

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening....whenever it is you have found this entry.  Today I am getting way from classic wrestling and review the last Raw of the decade as it is happening!  I am not sure what we will so with very little hype lets get to the show!
  • I just do not get KO as a good guy, it just does not fit!
  • It is dangerous being an announcer on Raw, first Lesnar now the new Shield attacking announcers.  We need someone to stand up for the announcers!
  • I am SO tired of Rey Mysterio!  The only time I will cheer for Seth is because of them!
  • Here comes "security" who looks smaller then I am!
  • I love Charley!  She is so good at her job
  • I do not like Joe's hair but it is great that he is back in the ring!
  • I have heard that Paul Heyman is behind these two, but I just do get either one of them.  Both are okay but I just do not think they are going to be the draw like the guys in the first segment
  • Plus I hate Murphy's trunks!
  • Now that I read what I wrote I think the problem is that we need more character from these guys.  Give them time to grow.  I need to see them in feuds and grow then I can truly say if they are "stars"
  • I think my problem with Black is that his matches seem very rehearsed because of his kicks and such
  • Murphy does a hell of a job selling however
  • A superkick in wrestling?  That is new!
  • Can Lana wear white?
  • For the record, I love the new Pokemon Go commercial
  • Also, I hate the most recent Raw theme music
  • I bet Stevens wins this match!  Or Rowan kicks his stupid hair cut off his head!
  • Yep, his haircut was kicked off!
  • I am going to guess it is Luke Harper in that cage
  • Where is James Ellsworth when we need him?
  • They need to do an injury angle with Charlotte, get her off TV for 3-6 months.  As they say how can we miss you if you do not go away
  • What?  She is going to be in the Royal Rumble?  I am SHOCKED!
  • Is she getting paid extra for each time she says Royal Rumble?
  • Yep Natayla is going to win this match....and everyone who believes that stand on their head
  • Has there been a worst strut than what Charlotte does?
  • Are they turning Nattie tonight?
  • That spot was not good, not sure which lady was confused.  Honestly, I think it is because Nattie is a little on the short side
  • Of course, it is Eric Young that gets beat up, wonder if he misses Impact
  • Very few matches should go through two breaks and this is not one of them!
  • Nattie needs to update her gear, it has been the same for a long time
  • What is up with Liv Morgans new character?
  • AJ laughing just cracked me up!
  • I hate that Ford makes me laugh
  • I cannot believe that ref did not believe AJ.  AJ would NOT lie damn it!  I think Dawkins tried to kick him!
  • Is it wrestling law that an Anderson does a good spinebuster?
  • I see Ford being a major star one day!
  • Ryder and Hawkins are going to do the J-O-B in a handicap match
  • Edge is mentioned on TV...proof he is coming back?
  • AJ is such a jerk!
  • AJ should do it, Randy would to him!
  • WHAT?!  THAT IS HORRIBLE!
  • No announcement of the US Champs opponent?  Really?
  • I cannot tell if they are behind Ricochet or if he is a high-end enhancement talent
  • Ricochet landed hard!
  • Ricochet can sell like he is going to the electric chair as Ernie Ladd would say
  • Why are there empty seats on the stage?
  • King is right the official does look like Bill Belichick!
  • Also why no bridesmaids or groomsmen?
  • Lashley looks like Wayne Brady on the juice
  • This official sounds completely retarded
  • Well I am sure Lana wrote both vows
  • I KNEW IT!
  • Twitter has been fantastic during this
  • Really?  They have brought back the WHAT chants?
  • WHO IN THE BLUE HELL IS THIS?
  • Fans are chanting Jerry Jerry Jerry, awesome!
  • OH GOOD GRIEF!
  • Oh my god, Lana is taking off her shoes!
  • I think Lana just flashed the world her lady bits!
  • Wait...is this Lana's lover....wait is that Liv Morgan?
  • Here comes Rusev!
Well that was a show for sure!  The middle hour went by really fast and was good.  I know this is going to surprise people but I LOVED the wedding.  That is the kind of comedy in wrestling I like.  I am not sure if this was the spot to bring Liv back in but we shall see.  The one thing that stood out for me was that Charlotte looked tired.  I think she needs a break, hopefully after Mania for her.  Overall a good show.

Classic Wrestling Review: Wrestling Challenge 1991-03-10

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening....whenever it is you have found this entry.  We are once again going back to 1991 and we are on the road to Wrestlemania 7 still.  Gorilla and the Brain are our hosts as we are two weeks before LA!  On the show today we will see an Ultimate Warrior interview, LOD, Mr. Perfect, Davey Boy Smith and the Viking...plus more!
  • How great was LOD's music!  It fit them so well
  • How bad were those foam shoulder pads?
  • Do you thank Alan Reynolds is related to Dennis and Dee and Frank?
  • Animal nearly dropped Shinji on his head with that powerslam!
  • One of the rare matches back on the WWF shows that goes too long.  Especially against these two guys.  If this was the LOD against say the Orient Express or another "named' team maybe but way too long for these two
  • How great was Bobby as an announcer?
  • Who thought a blindfold match was a good idea?
  • You know that a guy has a chance when they do not even announce his name!
  • Always liked that move especially when Davey did it
  • So weird to hear Barbie and Haku talk!
  • Mr. Fuji is the Viking now!
  • I could almost follow what Warrior was saying there!
  • Again not saying who the star is facing, interesting
  • Now you're going to see a Perfetplex!  I love it!
  • Neither team gets an announcement here!  WOW!
I will be honest in that I did not care for this show.  It started off slow with that long LOD match and never really took off.  Aside from Perfect on this show it very much felt like a "B" show.  I feel like it was just there to get to Mania.

Classic Wrestling Review: 1991-03-02 Superstars

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening....whenever it is you have found this blog.  Going back to 1991 again, this time 3 weeks before Wrestlemania 7.  Vince McMahon and Roddy Piper are our announcers which is always fun.  We will see "Piss Drinking Champion" Jake Roberts, Mr. Perfect, Earthquake and more!  Oh, let us not forget an Ultimate Warrior interview!
  • It is the piss drinking champion of the world Jake Roberts!
  • Jake is the scum of the earth but he was good in the ring wasn't he
  • I think this was my favourite version of Hogan....well this or original nWo Hogan
  • It is the Berzer....the Viking...
  • I wish Roddy was still around so he could be announcing somewhere!
  • The Viking looked like he was related to Hacksaw
  • That is the fastest 10 count in the history of Pro Wrestling I think!
  • Damn Davey looked amazing at this point
  • I never really liked the Rockers
  • Also, I was one of those guys who thought Marty was the star...boy was I wrong!
  • They have only thrown 2 superkicks so far, that is not tag team wrestling!
  • Why does Kerry only have armband?  Oh right, it is Kerry!
  • Pistol Pez again!
  • Is Perfect the best ever?  I mean he was....perfect!
  • Brother Love looked weird with this little ponytail
  • Well that was short and quick....oh it is not over yet
  • That podium had to cost 5 maybe 10 bucks at IKEA
  • Wait...Love can out run the Warrior?
  • FOR THE LOVE OF GOD BROTHER LOVE IS A MAN OF LOVE!!!
  • Is Jeffrey Dean Morgan channelling Randy Savage as Negan?
  • It is always amazing to see Quake throw a dropkick
  • One of my favorite powerslams from Quake
  • IT IS FUR FACE!  I wonder where they were going to go with that gimmick
Another great show building up to Mania!  I do not know why but I am enjoying the WWF shows more than WCW.  Maybe it is because I remember this time of WWF and I had not found WCW yet in my fandom, which was less than a year in at this point.  The guys here feel like stars where WCW feels like the minor leagues for some reason.  Anyway another standard show but so much fun.  Wish modern wrestling felt this way!  Until next time...as always...abyssinia!

Classic Wrestling Review: 1991-03-02 Power Hour

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening....whenever it is you have found this entry.  Today I am watching the March 2nd 1991 Power Hour!  WCW was not quite in its worst state yet but it was getting there.  Even though the Midnight Express are gone they still had some good tag teams yet the New Freebirds are your tag team champions at this point!  I was not watching WCW at this point so a lot of these matches and storylines are brand new to me.  And I get to watch Barry Windham take on El Gigante!  LETS GET TO THIS SHOW!!!
  • I mocked that the Freebirds are champions and the first team I see is the Royal Family?  REALLY!
  • It is not that the Royal Family is bad but good grief how did WCW let them run the Midnight Express off?
  • That was AEW ugly!
  • Paul E just mentioned the President of the United States first divorce!
  • Z-Man comes on and my dog starts growling...even he knows an overrated guy when he sees one!
  • I always wondered how guys like Wright or Buddy Lee Parker made out money-wise back these days.  They were on almost every show!  Were they under contracts or just always brought in
  • That was a horrible bump by Zenk
  • Zenk is using the sleeper?  Interesting
  • How is it that Dustin looks as good in 1991 as he does in 2019?
  • This enhancement talent is much better than half the AEW roster!
  • Get showing by Dustin but he is always a highlight of any show
  • That was supposed to show us Terry Taylor did not care about the match?  I do not get it
  • It is odd to think that Hayes thought he was over in 1991
  • Why did Doom try to cheat?  It does not make sense!  Just to break the team up I guess but just have a botched move
  • Yeah Thad Clark stands a chance....oh wait
  • This match has already taken too long, should be a boot followed by a powerbomb
  • ANDERSON HAS A STESCOPE!
  • Nice showcase for Stinger and The Total Package
  • Here is the match I cannot wait to see!  El Gigante in action!!
  • 30 seconds...perfect use of the giant!
  • Loved that they made the giant seem dangerous by breaking Windham open with the claw
This is a perfect example of why WCW never really took off minus the brief nWo run.  Their roster was still good yet we see El Gigante, Z-Man and the Royal Family.  I know they have to try to make stars but when you have Terry Taylor, Bobby Eaton, Ricky Morton, Brad Armstrong, Sting, Luger, Flair, Anderson, Windham, Zbyszko, the Steiners to name a few without really thinking something is wrong!  The bright point of this match was, like I said above, Rhodes.  Go back and watch anything with Dustin Rhodes and tell me he is not the MVP of every promotion he is in!  I will wait.  Okay I lied I will not but its true.  Until next time....Abyssinia!

1991-02-24 WWF Challenge Review

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening...whenever it is you have found this entry.  Today we go back to a month before Wrestlemania 7 with Wrestling Challenge!  As always our hosts for the "B" show are Bobby The Brain and Gorilla!  Plus a newly turned face Greg Valentine takes on former tag team partner Dino Bravo!  Enough of my intro lets get to the action!

  • Always nice to see Pistol Pez, a great journeyman and always in great shape
  • I probably say this every time I review a show with Duggan but I am a huge Duggan fan!
  • WWE wishes they got ovations like this for their stars now!
  • How did Paul Roma not become a huge star?  He had the look and the skills were there.  Surprises me every time I see Roma
  • I always liked Jacques Rougeau best as one of the Quebecers
  • I am kind of surprised not to see the Rougeaus in the Hall of Fame, especially since Raymond has been with the company for so long
  • How does Jimmy Hart still look the same today as he did in 1991?
  • I wonder what Brawler is doing nowadays; just do not hear his name
  • I think people forget how smooth Tito was.  He just is not talked about a lot and should be
  • I think it would have been so much fun being Sgt. at this time.  Being as hated as he was, how great would have that been
  • You could not do this version of Sgt. because of the PC police
  • I think Hammer still looks like this now
  • Hammer was another one of those guys that I have always liked, never had a bad match
  • How jacked was Dino back in the day?
  • It is odd to see Hammer as a good guy
  • Here comes big ol' Earthquake!  I miss Tenta
  • ITS FUR FACE!  One of the many failed gimmicks of Brutus
  • What is with that weird hand on the hip thing Hogan did?  I never noticed but its odd.  Hand on the hip and butt stuck out.
  • Why is it that WWE has not put Martel in the Hall of Fame?  He, like Tito, is kind of forgotten about
These old shows are fantastic.  They fly by and you knew who was going to win almost every match.  It was about the fun of the matches and the characters.  Now fans think it is about having 30-minute matches with 12 flips and 40 false finishes...but what do I know?  I know what I like that is what I know!  Until next time....abyssinia!

2019-09-28 TWF Tower of Power Action Hour Episode 824 Review

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening....whenever it is you have found this blog.  Today I am checking out a new, to me, wrestling company called total Wrestling Federation.  They have a Youtube channel found here.  I know nothing of it but ran across and like any good addiction mine has to be fed so lets go see what this show is like!

  • First thing I notice is that the lightning is not great but it is Indy wrestling
  • Was that Balls Mahoney re-incarnated?
  • "Fancy Graphic" love the tongue in cheek
  • Uggg, I hate the fans already
  • Joey Balls looks like Balls Mahoneys brother, wow
  • Ekstazy needs to pull up his pants!
  • Interesting location that they are literally in a theatre
  • I am liking the stalling of Balls, very old school
  • The announcer is not bad, probably needs a color man however
  • Wait...Balls is selling being punched a bunch in the head?  I do not understand
  • Chanting your own name is not that cool brother
  • Modified Regal Stretch, nice
  • See a heel should chant his name not the face.  Balls is a great old school heel
  • Ekstazy looks like a cheap version of Ricochet
  • That was an ugly ugly coast to coast
  • This match is starting to drag, hopefully they are going home soon
  • Perfect ending, probably two minutes too late, but that was a great snatch and grab small package
  • Dirt looks like bad video game copy of a young Eddie Guerrero
  • Dirt was talking to who?  The three people watching?
  • Actually, Dirt looks like a cross between Eddie Guerrero and Cisco from Flash
  • The TV title must be like the 24/7 Title I guess
  • I am confused as to the rules right now
  • Someone is going in the lake!
  • This is like bad backyard wrestling
  • I think that this TWF company had more people then Impact had in Vegas!
  • I love that Dreamin' Drew is not
  • The two in the ring matches have a bit of an old school feel, especially the first match
  • The problem with ladder matches is that one shot should end it but you have dozens of shots and it becomes slightly unrealistic
  • Dreamin Drew looks a little bit like Dennis Condrey
  • This is not awesome for the few fans trying to get that chant going
  • Love that there are kids in the audience
  • This match has gone on way too long.  I actually zoned out and it is still going
  • That move was just stupid, it would not hurt in wrestling terms but could destroy in reality
Not a bad show.  Love the first match and the last match was a ladder match meaning it is what you expect in that kind of match.  The backyard wrestling thing though I could have done without.  I also would have cut all matches by 5ish minutes and thrown another match or a few quick interviews in.  Each match drug on just a little too long.  I will be watching again though not only because of the sickness but because it was a decent show!

1991-01-13 Challenge Review

/

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening, whenever it is you have found this entry.  Today I am checking out the Jan 13th 1991 Wrestling Challenge with Bobby Heenan and Gorilla Monsoon.  We are on the road to the Royal Rumble!  Let us see who this show went shall we!
  • These two had the best chemistry of any duo on wrestling ever
  • Tom Stone was on just about every show at this point I think
  • Duggan was in great shape at this point in his career
  • I think Stone got a portato in there
  • I am surprised the Powers of Pain never got a title run in either major company back in the day
  • I forget that Warlord was quite agile for a man of his size
  • I always liked Black Bart.  Remember watching him back in the GWF
  • It is weird to see Shane as a good guy but he really did have the white meat babyface look as they say
  • I like that they had guys like Bart and Barry Horowitz and Brooklyn Brawler back int he day.  You did not think they would win yet you always wondered
  • Such a weird time with the Ball and Chain
  • Bob Bradley is another of those usuals on TV
  • I love that they had Heenan off commentary when BBM was out there
  • It is amazing to think that BBM was well over 400 pounds at one point
  • I wonder if Sgt. enjoyed this era of his career.  I think I would want to be a heel, seems like much more fun
  • Spike Jones?  I thought that was a singer
  • We need guys like Tugboat in wrestling.  Now everyone looks the same
  • How drunk was that guy?!
  • How great was Sherri!
  • Quake dropkicking is always amazing
Another great show promoting the Royal Rumble.  Knowing what is coming it was a shock in a week back then!  I miss when it was only 4 PPV's a year and they built to them and it felt special.  Hell, I do not even know what the next big show is because they come as fast as the candy did at Lucy!  I like the old challenge betters because it had Heenan and Monsoon!

1991-01-30 Clash of the Champions Review

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening...whenever it is you have found this entry.  Today I am checking out the first Clash of the Champions from 1991 which is headlined by Ric Flair defending his title against Scott Steiner.  Sting and Lex Luger face Doom for the Tag Titles.  This was one of the low points of WCW according to most.  I was not watching WCW at this point and I am not sure if I have ever watched this event so let's go to the tape!
  • Uggg, one of those horns are really off!
  • That was a sour note if I ever heard one!
  • Sting's entrance music starts off sounding almost like the Time Warp, never noticed that before
  • The fans are hot and that place does look packed like Jim Ross said
  • Luger with a leapfrog!  I do not think I have seen him do that before
  • I like that these guys do not make it look like they are cooperating with each other
  • So Pee Wee did not see Spivey attack?
  • Damn I could watch Missy Hyatt read me the phone book!
  • So Eaton's music is people chanting his name?
  • Uggg, no wrestler should wear those baby blue trunks
  • Really?  Hyatt and Dangerously is a long-awaited anything JR?
  • It is sad to think about all the guys that Eaton had to put over that he was SO much better than
  • Yeah, when these two are on your main show going against the Freebirds your roster is kind of thin
  • All those who think the Freebirds are losing stand on your heads
  • I remember in the only good WCW game Hayes finisher was that bulldog.  I loved that game!
  • The lights in the Teepee?  Come on JR!
  • Kind of made the Freebirds look weak only winning because the ref missed the tag
  • Why is Paul in the tiny window and Dusty in the big window?
  • Joey Maggs?  Really?  He has NEVER won a match and is on the Clash?
  • Oh well it is against Sid so that makes sense
  • This one makes sense because they needed to continue to have Sid look dominate.  Too bad they did not feed him Z-Man but he is still the TV champ
  • I love his powerbomb, dropping down to his knee making it look even more vicious....no pun intended
  • Why is Taylor the Computerized Man if he is not part of the York Foundation yet?
  • I always thought that Taylor looked better with the short hair, made him standout
  • Ugly finish for sure
  • Ranger Ross just had a weird look to him
  • Hello ladies!
  • Two of the best of all time in the Horsemen
  • The Renegade Warriors did have weird charisma
  • I LOVE ARN ANDERSONS STUN LOOK!
  • I know Dusty had to shill for the show but Scott Steiner vs. Ric Flair is not the greatest World Title match on TV ever Dream!
  • Best move ever!  Double A spinebuster
  • Vader and Stan were great, I miss guys like that in wrestling
  • Buddy Lee Parker?  Seriously?
  • Who did Buddy Lee have blackmail footage on to keep his job all those years in WCW?
  • What in the blue hell was Buddy Lee doing?
  • That was pointless....well there were two points....
  • Why is Kevin Sullivan there...oh others besides the Horsemen are there
  • Worst cheerleaders ever after what we just saw
  • Flair has already made Scotty look like a star
  • Weird to see Flair in yellow trunks
  • It is weird to see Scotty Steiner like this given how he looked 10 years later as Big Poppa Pump
  • I never felt Flair's Figure Four was that dangerous as people constantly fought out of it.  Did he ever win a major match via submission with it without something else happening first?
  • Flair's punches are underrated
  • Flair is flopping around like a fish after that Tiger Driver
  • Why is Nick Patrick letting Rick Steiner get involved so much?
Overall this was an okay show.  The stars were good and all the wrestling...well minus the Z-Man match...was fine but it felt like something was missing.  What I cannot say.  The show was just there ya know.  The crowd was hot but nothing was special ya know.  Felt like the show never left first gear and that everyone was just there not really giving 100%.  Overall a fine show but nothing to go out of your way to watch

2019-10-22 NWA Powerrr review

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening...whenever it is you have found this entry.  Today I am watching the third episode of NWA Power(rr).  I have loved the first two episodes and cannot wait to get to this one so enough of this boring intro and lets get to the card!
  • It is interesting that Melina is in the intro yet we have not seen her on the show yet
  • Now I notice there are several people we have not seen yet.  Very interesting
  • There is the man who anything he says becomes a major issue, Jim Cornette.  My personal spirit animal
  • Kingston is great on the mic and good in the ring, surprised WWE or AEW has not signed him up over the years
  • Been a while since I have seen Marti Belle
  • How old is Crystal?  12?
  • Oh man Corny just said something out trouts, the trout people will be after him!
  • Pedigree and it is over
  • Nice short and sweet, that is what I love about this show
  • I like the Dawsons, that different look and true heels
  • What is Stevens wearing and why do I love it?
  • Why is Stevens no on Raw or Smackdown every week?
  • This cannot be real!
  • A lot of old Impact Wrestling people on these shows
  • Parker is so skinny he needs to run around in the shower to get wet
  • It is NOT an enziguri if it is to the ear, it literally means kick to the back of the head
  • Have I said before that Tim Storm looks like Paul Orndorff?  Because he does
  • Mama Storm might be the second most famous Mama in wrestling after Cornette
  • Is Eli Drake a heel or babyface
  • What is with these commercials?
  • What a superkick from James Storm
  • Is Aldis losing his accent?
  • Where is this storyline going with Kamille I wonder
  • Tim Storm and Eli Drake as a team?  Who is going to turn on who though?  I see Tim Storm turn personally
  • Uggg, back tag
  • That bulldog will break your neck....or make you a gigolo
  • Drake and Storm are a pretty good team actually
  • Dave needs to get that bearhug more snug, too much daylight there
  • I am shocked that this has been almost all Drake and Storm with the Dawsons being seemingly pushed
  • They need a better finisher but I like the Dawsons
  • That was an abrupt ending
Another good show but I did not like the way the show ended.  Let me rephrase that, I did not like that the show ended when it did.  Why was Aldis out there?  Will we find out?  Aside from that another good show.  The matches are a great length, nothing feels like it is dragging through multiple segments just because.  The interviews are good and fun.  Again a great show and worth checking out.N

2019-10-29 NWA Power Review

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening...whenever it is you have found this entry.  Today I am checking out the 4th episode of NWA power(rr).  It debuted on 2019-10-29.  Will we see a follow up to Nick Aldis, Tim Storm and Eli Drake?  What will happen after James Storm seemed set to kick Colt Cabanas head off his head?  I cannot wait to see what happens!
  • I love the recaps each week
  • James Storm is a great interview and Colt is a fun interview
  • Fun way to start the show, four top guys
  • I love the way Nick Aldis is making it important to get a shot.  Give everything or get nothing
  • They are really pushing this Kamille storyline and I am intrigued and have no clue where they are going
  • I have missed Murdoch
  • I do not know what to think about Jocephus but I kind of like the crazy man gimmick
  • I love that they are keeping up with the no eye contact rule
  • Ricky Starks is getting pushed for sure but I will reserve judgement
  • Interesting that they are already doing a No DQ match.  Seems early to start doing big gimmick matches but that is modern wrestling
  • Good grief that can not feel good for Eddie
  • A headshot with a chair...wow
  • Not seeing it every week makes it more devastating!
  • Why did they attack the Dawsons but then help them win?
  • I like the announcers are asking the same thing
  • What the hell was that?  Patty Cake?
  • Roaring Elbow, very well executed
  • A nice surprise win for Vox...who needs new ring gear, that top is awful
  • What is with the music?  There is no music in the NWA....until now
  • Did Stark cheat and hook the trunks?  Sure looked like it to me
  • Stevens is more over after the loss I love it!
  • Very interesting teams
  • I do not get Colt.  He is better than average yet he does all the goofy stuff.  Is it because it is easier and less on his body?  Is he really smarter than the average bear?  I am beginning to think so!
  • Anderson can not do that rolling slam very well, nothing like Fit Finlay.  Always think he is going to spike himself and break his own neck
Another good show but another abrupt ending.  Also no follow up to the Drake/Tim Storm issue is disappointing.  Interesting debut for Thunder Rosa and a shocking win for Ashley Vox.  This show seemed slightly off for some reason.  I assume it is because they are setting up the next storylines but the worst show thus far which makes it still better than most of the other shows out there.

1991-02-09 Worldwide

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening...whenever it is you found this entry.  Today I am checking out the Feb. 9th 1991 edition of WCW Worldwide.  I have no idea where we are at in WCW at this point so I am going in blind.  I did not follow WCW at this point and I am randomly selecting shows as I move data around so let us go to the tape and see what we see shall we!
  • Tony Schiavone and Gordon Solie?
  • Ric Flair on the show wrestling?  Interesting
  • I like the "will beat this person in x time" that they did
  • I think Terri was even better looking back then, without those life preservers ha ha
  • If I ran a wrestling company I would make my stars watch these shows every day.  See what wrestling should be like
  • I wonder if it is true that people would leave if they saw their names next to the Steiners
  • It is weird to see Rick without the headgear, so very weird
  • I hate that top rope DDT
  • Poor Enhancement talent does not even get his name on TV
  • That was sloppy and could have broken the kids shoulder
  • Dissension amoungst Doom!
  • Why did Reed put on a shirt?
  • Love Simmons powerslam
  • Windham's hair is so weird
  • This was a weird heel vs. heel match; yes it is to build to a Doom breakup but still weird
  • Nice to see a young Kevin Nash
  • Look how Nash towers over everyone in the ring
  • What was with Nash's hair?  Is that a mullet?
  • It is weird to think that Tommy Rich was the NWA Champion not being around that time period and only know this Tommy Rich and going forward
  • The Thesz press is the worst finisher of all time I think
  • Wow, Flair is facing a true job guy!
  • Imagine if this kid has injured Naitch, can you imagine?
  • Sad to see Dirty Dutch as basically enhancement
  • How great is Rogers with the pigtails
Another show from WCW that just did not seem to have direction.  No real talk of Wrestle War during the show even though that is where they should be going.  5/8 of the main event were on the show and not once was it mentioned by the commentators.  That was the problem with WCW, they put out shows with matches but never really had direction.  The wrestlers usually worked hard but the office just never had its stuff together

Supertape Volume 3 Review

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening...whenever you found this entry.  Today I am watching an old Coliseum Home Video tape, Supertape 3.  These tapes were put out monthly back in the day.  I loved renting these back in the day so lets see if I enjoy it as much today!
  • Gotta love some Mr. Perfect!
  • Sad we do not get to see Bobby with Perfect
  • How proud did Perfect look locking that sleeper in...it was...well the perfect look
  • I love that rolling neck snap of Perfect
  • I miss Perfect, can you imagine how good he would be at the performance center?
  • I always like Barbie for some reason, not sure why.  Especially liked him as part of the Faces of Fear in WCW
  • A lot of playing to the crowd here, you can tell it was a house show
  • Strange, they had Barbie use the ropes to win, guess it keeps Snuka strong in the eyes of the locals
  • Future Tag Team Champions the Natural Disasters going one on one
  • I hated this single for Quake
  • GOOD GOD A RUNNING DROPKICK FROM QUAKE!
  • Tugboats dropkick was not an impressive
  • Nice way to keep both strong and have a really good match
  • I know everyone says that Demolition was just LOD clones but I never felt that way.  Similar yes but clones no.
  • Also, I always like Demolition better!
  • Especially Ax and Smash, one of my favourite teams that I hope will go into the Hall of Fame soon!
  • LOD broke up the Demolition Decapitator!  That is rare
  • This match makes me think of the Wrestlefest arcade game...man I would love to own that bad boy!
  • I feel like Ax and Smash are overlooked as performers.  They were so smooth and could wrestler or brawl so well
  • I hated when they changed Demolitions music
  • Demolition was not the same without Ax in my opinion
  • Will this be two LOD matches where Hawk does not go into the ring post?  I will believe it when I see it!
  • Animal has a great powerslam.  It is Dustin Rhodes or Ron Simmons but it is damn good
  • I think that Paul Roma is a classic underachiever in wrestling, had the looks, a decent promo but never got very far in the WWF.  Had a decent run in WCW as a tag team man but never stood out too far
  • Interesting to see Roma use Davey Boy Smith/Warlords finisher
  • Why did Herc not react at all to the backslide?  It is almost like he knew it was not over
  • I love that Hercules is "shaking" the ropes while Roma puts his feet on them
  • Weird to see Gorilla and Bobby at ringside but not doing the announcing
  • Two of my favourites here with DiBiase and Boss Man
  • Sorry I did not "Say" anything during that match, I was just enjoying it!
  • Double Mr. Perfect on this tape...yes please!
  • Heenan is at ringside too!
  • How much piss do you think Jake drank before heading to the ring?  One bottle?  Two?
Good matches but my favourite was easily Boss Man and DiBiase.  Two of my favourites in good action but honestly no bad matches here.  From a time where there were men who were wrestlers not kids and you almost believed or could easily forget and get caught up.  When was the last time that happened nowadays?
