Good morning, good afternoon, good evening....whenever it is you have found this entry.  Today, 2020-12-18, I am checking out last nights WWE Main Event.  We are going into TLC this week so I expect a big push!

• 45 time champion?  Really?  That is it?
• I liked it when they put up subtitles for Truth's rapping
• If it was not for this title would Truth still be employed?
• A bouncy castle?
• Orton and Wyatt, two of the best promos going today!
• I know I hated this version of Bray early on but I love it!  I love the crazy Bray and evil Fiend.  Everything about it 
• Bray's old rocking chair?  
• Why does Randy constantly burn all of Bray's nice things?
• Why is no one stopping Randy?  He is trying to kill a man!
• I love the use of the Mandible Claw, my second favorite hold after the Cross Face Chicken Wing
• Why did they change Lacey back to this character after the empowering women character at Mania?
• I hate and love Lacey's trunks at the same time

The Truth stuff is goofy but fun and Lacey and Nikki had an okay match.  I am honestly surprised they still do main event, my guess is the Hulu contract is good money!  Overall not worth checking out unless you like Truth, Evans or Cross!

2020-07-31 Smackdown

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening...whenever it is you found todays entry.  Today, 2020-08-05, I am checking out the latest, to date, Smackdown.  I know we have an appearance from The Fiend, an IC title match and more so enough typing, I think it is time for fighting!

• I LOVE BRAY WYATT!
• I miss good ring announcers
• Does anyone think that AJ is going to lose here?
• I am not sure I like the piped-in crowd noise
• Have we seen a ref bump with a female ref?
• If not do we need one occasionally just to give the illusion it could happen
• Seriously this crowd noise does not make sense
• Nice move by Gran with the sweep of the legs
• Is it odd that Styles is a flat earther?  I find it weird
• I like that Styles has a few finishers
• A really good match; so good I forgot to write comments!
• I really hate that belt!
• Corbin has really improved over the years, especially after he cut his hair
• This barroom brawl should be at Tim Whites bar!
• Celebrating in his own personal way?  Is that with a drink or three Cole?
• Seriously Corbin is great on the mic!
• I love me some Gulak!
• Cole, you mean when Gulak Pearl Harbored the King!
• Is that the Lebell Lock?
• What is this guy doing here?  Riddle has not reason to be out there!
• What is with everyone attacking the King from behind?  HE IS THE KING!
• Wait?  Chad Gable?  There could be a knighthood in this for him!
• His name is Chad Cole!
• I cannot wait for Big E's single run.  I think he should be fighting for the title at Mania next year
• Wait....Miz has only held 19 titles?  I honestly thought it would be higher
• I kind of hope that they leave the plex up if they ever have fans in the area again
• Is there a worse look then a man bun?  Not that I know of
• As much as I hate the moves on the apron the splash by Big E is great
• I hate it when guys run to the corner and hit it before running and hitting their opponent in the opposite corner.  Why does it hurt if your opponent does it but not when you do it yourself.  It is the little things guys
• When was the last time someone submitted to the Figure Four?  
• How strong do you have to be to do that?  Big E for Champion!
• So Lacey is back to being a heel?  She is going to end up with as many turns as Big Show
• Feel the Glow feels like an STD you can get
• Uggg, what was that?  Something she should NOT be doing for sure.  Sorry, Naomi, I don't think either you or Lacey are experienced enough for that
• Did Mandy Rose have some work done?
• I cannot wait till Sonya moves on to another feud.  She has MONEY written on her I think
• I love heel Bayley...and hate anything Sasha
• If I see Sasha tweet to Mr. McMahon one more time I might vomit.  
• Nikki is so different than anyone else in WWE
• Sasha has X-Pac heat with me, just go away!
• Really liked that closing sequence!
• Another person just turned on Alexa!  It is just sad the way people turn on the Goddess
• OH DEAR GOD NO!  THIS IS YOUR FAULT BRAUN!

I do not know how this was received but I really loved this show almost top to bottom!  AJ is great!  Corbin is Great!  The Fiend segment with Bliss has SO many ways it could go.  Hardy looks better than he has in a long time.  Big E is going to be a breakout star I think.  I know people are down on WWE right now but man that was a good show and did not feel like 90 mintues!

Wrestling Review: 2020-01-24 Smackdown

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening...whenever it is you have found this entry.  We are just two days away from the Royal Rumble and it is time for the go-home show from the Blue Brand.  I know the main event is Kofi Kingston against John Morrison and we get to see a contract signing between The Planets Champion and Bray Wyatt!  Let us get to the ring....and it is the Usos....boo

• Ugg, I hate the Usos!  Seriously how long before one of them gets another DUI and they go away yet again
• Was that too soon?
• I wonder what Bobby Roode failed the wellness test for, they never did announce what
• The Usos do not look healthy, they look like guys who worked out but then stopped
• Fans are all over Roode, weird
• Wow, that was rough looking on one of the Usos...I guess Jimmy per Cole
• Also, the Usos need to change those chia pet hair cuts
• Yes I will just rip on the Usos till they are off my TV
• I like everyone but the Usos in this match.  They have X-Pac heat with me, they need to just go away
• Remember when Corbin had that horrible stringy hair
• That was not a good head to the steps spot guys, you two are better!
• I do not like Reigns but he is good in the ring and since he returned the fans are into him
• Reigns hair is starting to recede a bit it looked like
• This match is way too long for a handicap match
• If these three cannot defeat Reigns how can the King on his own?
• Wait Jimmy can come back out?  SHOCKED!
• The Bloodline....that is a pretty cool name actually
• Good grief Lacey Evans is a goddess
• Why is Cole doing the interview and not Charley or one of the other interviewers?
• Those stupid dots on her vail make it look like Lacey has stuff on her teeth
• I do like the story that Lacey has, and I do not think her voice cracking is acting.  I just wish they would change her "sassy Southern Belle" gimmick
• Who did not see Bayley doing something?  Stand on your head
• I love Dana but she is looking a little too thin or got some work done which I hope is not true
• Did Lacey have pants on earlier?  I went back and she di

• I LOVE OTIS!
• Uggg, why is Braun not a monster?  He is doing comedy bits with Elias for the love of god!
• It is weird that they put Cesaro into another team instead of reuniting the Bar
• Strangely I do not care about this match which is sad but there was no chance Sami and his team was winning
• Uggg, I hate the "shocked" face that the female announcers get.  It is so fake
• WTF is Big E doing?
• Oh yeah if he is greasy he cannot be thrown over the top rope!
• This show seems to be going on FOREVER!  I think I had a birthday already
• I love this segment every year when they throw these numbers around
• I love that the slow-mo shot is back!
• Wow that face plant out of the monkey flip looks brutal.  
• I am so happy to see Morrison back on the main stage
• Starship Pain looks amazing, if I was 1/100th that athletic!
• Seriously was this show 3 hours tonight?
• Kofi should not have kicked out of that kick, that should have been the end!
• I hate the Usos hair cut and Kofi's is right there as well
• I hate the Spanish Fly, it is so fake looking
• Kofi was champion for six months?  Really?  Did not seem that long
• Oh Miz, that is just silly!
• Wait....is that a fax machine?
• A sick man?  Bray is not a sick man!
• I hated the new Bray Wyatt at first but I love it now
• WORD OF THE DAY!
• Run Michael Cole, run!
• I cannot imagine the pain of the strap match, it is insane
• I wonder how much the mask messes with Bray
• Did he just stab his own hand to get the "blood"?  WOWEY ZOWEY

The second half of the show was good.  Morrison vs. Kofi and The Fiend was fantastic.  I LOVED the Lacey Evans segment because it felt real and not scripted (even if it was).  The six-man was good but way WAY too long, need to be cut by probably a third and allow Bliss and company to wrestle for a few minutes before the brawl.  As much as I like most of the guys in the tag match the outcome was never in questions and I was bored, bored I tell you.  I hate the babyface Elias more than babyface Alexa.  However, the best part of the night was the by the numbers segment, got me pumped for the Rumble in a few days.  I hope to be "live" blogging it, updating after each match.  Until next time...from the Fat Man himself....Abyssinia!

2019-10-11 Smackdown Review

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening....whenever it is you have found this entry.  Today I am watching this weeks Smackdown.  It is Draft Friday boys and girls and who will bleed blue and who will bleed red?  My pick of the first pick of the first round is BROCK LESNAR!...wait...he cannot be picked tonight?  Well find then I will go with Roman Reigns

• It is interesting that Ember Moon is in the Smackdown entrance when she is rarely used
• Also the new Smackdown intro music SUCKS!
• They are giving us Reigns vs. Rollins live on Smackdown?  Really want to get big numbers for Fox!
• Still weird now having Cole on Raw but no Smackdown again 
• I like that Seth brings out the best of Reigns.  Reigns is good given the correct opponent.  
• I know they say Seth or Reigns should be number one but if it was me it would be Lesnar first,  then New Day, then Bray Wyatt, then Strowman, then Becky
• Rollins is so damn good but he is also formulaic a bit.  
• That was an awesome counter to the spear!  Do not think I have seen that before
• ITS THE FIEND!!
• HE JUST DRUG ROLLINS TO HELL AND BACK!
• I love that hey have CGI Football Robot in Fox!
• Of course, Stephanie is there
• Becky is the number one pick again!  AWESOME!
• Reigns stay on Smackdown, interesting
• I like that the OC stayed together
• Wait...the Fiend goes to Friday!  Woway Zowie!
• Drew is still a thing?  When was the last time we saw him?
• Uggg, this fake war room stuff is bad
• I thought that was Taz not Joe
• Love the shot at Rene's husband by Joe!  TAKE THAT MOXLEY!
• I know I am in the minority but I love King Corbin
• What is with these weird camera shots?
• Fox is really throwing their stars at Smackdown
• I love that Cole is calling him Shorty Gable
• I would have Gable be the man on 205 every week
• Not sure I would have had King Corbin win but that's okay
• Orton to Raw, interesting
• Sasha to Smackdown...who cares

• Lashley is still a thing that people care about?
• Heyman is the best in the business
• Why is Kofi so happy?  He is over being a FORMER champion?
• I love that the WWE does the cancer stuff but it is a bit of a downer and hurts the pacing of the show.  I know it is weird to say but would the NFL or NBA stop middle of the third quarter to do something?  It is just strange
• I would watching AJ vs. Kofi a few times
• Kofi needed that win
• I love me som Alexa Bliss, so underrated
• Lacey Evans to Smackdown.  I like her!
• Kevin Owens to Raw?  Interesting....
• The Top Guys stay on Smackdown!  I would like to see them on every wrestling show honest

• Viking Raiders stay on Raw.  Future champs right there!
• Why would you take the Lucha House Party?  Maybe they will get a big push
• Wait....they used two draft picks on Cross and Bliss?
• Heavy Machinery stays on Smackdown.  Love me some Otis!
• My wife just said we are not going to watch Raw anymore because of the Street Profits
• Will Bayley get the title back?  If so why change the title in the first place
• Fans booing Bayley?
• Bayley with a hoodie?  Is she a meanie now?
• SHE IS KILLING HER WACKY WAVING INFLATABLE ARM FLAILING TUBE MEN!!
• SHE ALSO CUT HER HAIR!!
• Love the new hair cut on Bayley
• Charlotte does too many high risk moves for her size in my opinion
• Charlotte is awful at hitting the moonsault.  It looks amazing but she cannot land it right, always looks like a flipping moonsault elbow shot
• Someone is bleeding the ref has the gloves on!
• She just beat Charlotte clean?!

Well that was a shocking way to end the show!  A heel Bayley just won the title back and basically clean.  Used the hair to pull Charlotte down but that is....did Bayley just say bitches?  Damn I love it!

A much better show this week I think.  I felt like it flowed better and was paced better, minus the segment with the New Day.  

Once again, however, I feel like they wasted AJ Styles.  Hopefully not a trend.

I would give the show a solid B.  Not perfect but very good.  I enjoyed it more than AEW this week especially with the fantastic Bayley turn.

2019-10-04 Smackdown Review

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening, whenever it is you have found this review.  Today I am looking at the debut edition for Smackdown on Fox!  I am not going to bore you with a huge intro lets get to it!

• Interesting set, not sure I like or hate it, it will take a few weeks
• Of course, the McMahons open the show
• I love that Vince always sounds like he has been gargling razor blades anymore
• Why Michael Cole?  I feel bad for Tom Phillips 
• Now the Raw Women's champion....on the debut of Smackdown....yeah that makes sense
• KING CORBIN....also not on the blue brand
• HE IS HERE!  ITS HIM!  THE GREAT ONE!  ROCKY!!!!
• I hated him for some long and now I miss him so much.  Sometimes you do not know what you have till you no longer have it
• I love King Corbins look, my first time seeing it
• The dumb fans cannot chant together
• I love this!  
• Four Horsewomen in action next, a good way to start the night
• Every time I see Sasha I feel like I need a penicillin shot
• I feel like we have seen these ladies too much together
• Just nothing special about this sadly because we have seen it
• Erin Andrews has no clue who these guys are
• I started off hating the Firefly Funhouse but now I love it!
• There was a time people cared about Shinsuke right?  
• I love the Fiend and Wyatt both!
• They are throwing everything at the wall here for the first Smackdown on Fox 
• For no real training, Shane has always been good
• I hope Owens loses and comes back as Mr. Canada or the Midnight Rider
• AS GOD IS MY WITNESS SHANE IS BROKEN IN HALF!
• Seriously why would he do that!
• Seriously why is Shane on his feet after that?  That should have been the end of Shane on WWE TV for months
• Paul Heyman is the Hitchcock of WWE directing horror movies that is star Brock Lesnar!
• Why should I care about Braun Strowman?  
• And what is Braun wearing?
• How great is Otis?  So entertaining
• Who is Tyson Fury?  Should I care?
• I like Rowen and it is nice to see him finally get a chance
• I love the chaos of lumberjack matches!
• Needed a bigger brawl for me
• Well I guess that ends the Kofi experiment
• What the hell?  Rey Mysterio really?
• I guess I do not know my MMA well enough to know who Cain Velasquez is

That was a very good show.  I am not sure I like Kofi losing in 10 or so seconds but lets see where it goes before I hate on it.  This was, hopefully, chapter one, of this story.  Also interesting to see Cain Velasquez enter the fray as it were.  Where this goes will be interesting.

I hated to see Randy Orton, Miz and AJ Styles put into a pointless 8 man tag.  Should have been Strowman vs. Cesaro or someone to get to the Fury and Strowman staredown.

Overall nothing horrible but there was the bad 8 man, not because of the people, but because of the use of those people.  Also seeing people like the Viking Experience no-sold during the Lumberjack Match sucked.  Little things that WWE will say no one noticed does get noticed.  

Very good first show on Fox but like I said about AEW it is not about one show but 10 and 20 and 50 to keep me, and the fans, happy.
