Movie Review: The Deep House

 Good morning, good afternoon, good evening…whenever it is you have found this entry.  Tonight, 2021-11-07 I am checking out the 2021 flick The Deep House.  Stars Camille Rowe, James Jagger, and Eric Savin.  “A young and modern couple who go to France to explore an underwater house and share their findings on social media undergoes a serious change of plans when the couple enters the interior of a strange house located at the bottom of a lake and their presence awakens a dark spirit that haunts the house.”  2,316 IMDb users have given a weighted average vote of 5.5 / 10

• ·        The accents make things slightly hard to watch
• ·        God is watching over us?  We’ll you are not screwed
• ·        Why would anyone want to do this?  Getting trapped seems like an obvious problem
• ·        Why do people always split up?  Have they never seen scooby doo?
• ·        They are windows….you do not need to pry them open
• ·        JESUS DID YOU SEE THE SIZE OF THAT FISH!
• ·        Voices over the intercom and that isn’t a problem to her?  I would be out o there
• ·        Now they are seeing people and they just keep going.  These two deserve to die in their watery graves stupid people
• ·        Scratches on the inside of the door and these two are still there.  Why are people in horror movies so damn stupid?
• ·        A lot of jump scares which actually makes this feel more real
• ·        Why does the kitchen have a giant crucified Jesus?
• ·        They don’t think it is weird that Jesus is protecting a secret room?  Like keeping something….inside?
• ·        So this family was really into S&M before the house flooded don’t kink shame them girly!
• ·        The house will not let them leave!
• ·        Oh yes the shatterproof windows
• ·        Oh, shit the S&M guys are not filming them?!?
• ·        I am so confused as to what is happening right now
• ·        The POV filming makes it hard to know what is going on at times, I suppose to give you the feeling that you are there with them but makes it hard to follow at times
• ·        Very good use of the environment and giving the viewer that panicked feeling
• ·        Inside her suit?  FUCK THAT!
• ·        OPEN YOUR MOUTH?  FUCK THAT SHIT AND FUCK BEN!
• ·        I wonder if the flick is done in real-time; meaning they are only underwater for the 60 minutes
• ·        He might be okay….it was only two stabbings

This is actually better than I expected going in.  It sounds really bad but it is not bad at all.  It was hard to follow every once in a while because of the POV nature of the flick but overall fun to watch.  A really good run time and well done.  The acting left something to be desired especially Ben, the main male character.  Overall a fun flick with a great run time.  I give it a 6/10

1994-02-19 WCW Saturday Night

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening...whenever you have found this entry.  Today I am checking out the Saturday Night before Superbrawl!  Flair will be here I am sure and so will Vader I am guessing.  I have no idea what is going to be on the show but I think it is time to go find out!

• The Boss...how did WWF not stop this the moment he showed up on TV?
• Why is "Jungle" from the Everglades?
• I love that Heenan just commented about the Everglades and Jungle thing
• Did Steele just use the Stinger Splash?  Now we know why he did not stick around long
• Worst finisher ever!
• Payne was not what you would call a great promo was he?
• A brush your teeth chant!
• I love that the brush your teeth chant is still going for Missy
• I wonder if they Nastys were as sloppy as they appear
• And the Nastys get the win with the worst looking elbow ever
• Did Ray Traylor have that much of an accent in WWF?  I feel like he hid it for Vince
• I was always a big fan of The Patriot and really enjoyed his run in WCW
• Regal challenging the Patriot!  That is why Regal is the greatest TV champ ever!!
• Hell of a dropkick!
• Did Santana ask Scotty Steiner for his 1990 ring gear?
• A big win for the Patriot with the Uncle slam and looks good
• Bagwell vs. Booker T, the match that ruined WCW in 2002!
• Was 1994 the best year for tag teams in WCW since they left the NWA?  
• THAT SHOULD BE A DQ!  Booker went over the top!!!
• Heat was much more of a brawling team here before they renamed them to Booker and Stevie Ray
• Scorpio killed himself!
• I do love this version of Vader, 92-94
• Vader looks like he kills people yet you hear stories he does not.  
• It is so odd that Parker had a job for another 7 years but guys like Bobby Eaton would not
• Weird, the teams are in wrong corners in my mind
• I always like Lightning as Cobra, thought he was underrated
• I do not remember a shoulder breaker in the past from Boss
• Second best piledriver in wrestling!
• It is amazing how much Brian's son looks like him.  It is like looking at a clone!
• Jesus that was a little graphic for 1994!
• This Mauler is AWFUL!

This felt like a very long show and very little movement, which is to be expected.  They have a big PPV tomorrow night but a really long AWFUL main event did not help.  Honestly this show was not good to be honest.  I cannot recommend anything on this show.

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening...whenever it is you have found this entry.  Today, 2020-11-21, Survivor Series Eve, I am going back to 1994 and checking out some USWA action.  I am sure we will see some Gilberts and Lawler interactions.  Beyond that, I have no clue so enough speculation, it is time to see what one of the last few territories had for us on February 19th, 1994!

• The video quality for this episode is not great
• You do not really hear from Big Vito anymore at this point really
• This video quality is just about unwatchable but I will do my best
• So weird they were doing a German gimmick in 1994, did anyone hate the Germans at this point?
• Did Skull just use the tights?  So weird and where is Big Business Brown?
• Are they really going to do magic?  That is not going to get this kid over
• Why would Del Rios and Bert let this happen?  Makes no sense
• It can not be much of a club if Bert is back on his feet after several shots
• Hot Stuff is on!
• I love the drunk talk, love it.  Personal attacks are great and make for the best heat
• Why was Koko still in his High Energy gear?  It is so weird
• GHOSTBUSTER...wait...it is called the Birdbuster now?
• That 3rd one looked vicious!
• Eddie Marlin never backed down, did he?  Probably should have
• Koko was in pretty good shape at this point
• PG-13 is an underrated tag team especially for their size
• I never really liked the Moondogs or their gimmick
• I feel like it is a shame that Eddie Gilbert never got a better run with a major company, he was so good especially on the mic
• I love the Brian Christopher laugh!!
• Brian and Jerry look SO much alike!
• Why would anyone want that van?  
• It is too bad we did not get to see more Lawler in WWF at this point, he was still so good and smooth
• THE STRAP IS DOWN!!!
• Look how happy those fans are!
• Eddie's reaction was fantastic to the loss
• Just when you thought Eddie was down and out Hot Stuff had an ace up his sleeve
• I love this near-insane version of Hot Stuff
• The Lawler & Hot Stuff stuff feels so real it is fantastic

These shows are mostly about getting people down to the Mid-South Colosseum each week and I tell you it does it!  I want to get there to see Hot Stuff and Lawler in a few days!  Aside from the Lawler/Christopher vs. the Gilbert stuff not a lot great stuff.  The Skull Von Crush/Del Rios stuff is just silly.  I kind of like heel Koko but it is all about the Lawler stuff and it makes sense.  Worth checking out for the Lawler/Hot Stuff stuff if you can find a better version then I have!

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening...whenever it is you have found this entry.  Today, 2020-11-15, we are going back to 1994 to check out a mid-February Superstars.  We are building up to the tenth anniversary of Wrestlemania...although without a sign to point to how do we know?  Anywho I am sure we will hear from at least one Hart Brother and the champions mouthpiece James E. Cornette, so enough talking I think it is time to go to the.....mp4

• IT IS THE KING OF HARTS!!!  Wait.....spoilers
• Owen vs. Marty?  Yes, please!
• Cheap shot?  Marty was probably drunk and fell down Vince!
• A HANDFUL OF HAIR BY MARTY!  HE IS A CHEATER!!
• Oh man I loved Owen's belly to belly
• I like that these guys are trying for pinfalls after big moves, unlike today, it is about winning
• The man who invented the Sharpshooter with another win
• Oh that suit Vince is wearing, exactly what I think of seeing Vince in
• JOHNNY POLO!!!
• How is it Scotty Taylor looked older in 1994 then he did in 1998-99
• Vince sounds so annoyed with Polo and I love it
• Can you imagine if we had Madusa in her prime with some of the current stars.  Her vs. Bailey or Charlotte or Becky or.....did Polo just call her a sexy little tart?!?!
• Nothing to write home about in that match, this is why the division just never took off in 1994 sadly
• I always like Todd.  He always seemed so excited and genuine
• I would have liked to see Quake take on Borga, I think that would have been a trainwreck of a match
• Booger looks MUCH better with that haircut!
• I do not remember Quake being announced from Canada except for when he was the Canadian Earthquake
• Actually, the only chance you have against Quake is to attack early and quickly Vick!
• I love to see Quake throw that dropkick, always one of my favorites especially during this mid 90's
• I love me some Cornette!
• WHAT IN THE HELL IS HE THERE FOR?  Luger has no right to be there this is Cornette and Company's time!
• On the Take Tunney is clean this time?  I think not!
• Way too much offense on Big Daddy Cool.  He should have been destroying people in 30 seconds still at this point in 1994
• I loved WWF Royal Rumble game back in the day!

A really good show!  I love Polo and "Vick" on commentary!  The opening main event between Owen and Marty was really good, I could watch more matches between those two.  Kwang, Quake and Big Daddy were great.  I felt bad for Madusa as they did not have much for her at this point.  This felt amazingly quick and I could not believe the show was over when it was.  A really fun show

Movie Roulette: Ridge War Z

 

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening....whenever it is you have found this entry.  Today, 2021-08-01 I am checking out the flick Ridge War Z.  The first of my new "Movie Roulette" series where the wife and I pick a folder number (1-27 for the alphabet and # folders) and then a random number based on the flicks in that folder!  The first in the series is the 2013 flick Ridge War Z!  "The last surviving veterans of the worst battle of a zombie war recount their horrific memories to an author who is writing a book about their experiences."  It stars Dominique Marsell, Travis O'Leary, and Kyle Gordon per IMDB.  158 people have rated this flick a 2.5 currently.

• Brain Damage films?  Is that what I am going to get from this flick?
• Wait...are they using grenades on zombies?  
• So basically this is World War Z without a budget?
• Is that Tom Brady?
• Why is he using a typewriter?  
• I do not get the blue filter on the camera
• Take it back he looks more like Brett Favre; probably as stupid as him
• Not great mic coverage 
• They just not realized that one guy is still in the car?  Did they at least roll down the windows?
• Half a million?  That is not much for a zombie war, is it?
• Why are soldiers just laying there?  I would think they would either be zombies or collected after the fact?  
• Are they playing freeze tag and they cannot move after dying?  Jesus, he was frozen stiff
• Good grief the dialog...no human being talks like this do they?
• For zombies being around, they are not very quiet 
• Secure the back door?  Phrasing?  Are we not saying phrasing anymore?
• All that shooting for 20 zeds?
• Why do they have a body in their fox "hole"?
• Why the bazooka?  I guess for a true herd?
• This is getting a little long in the tooth and it is only 90 minutes
• Why was he looking down his sight?  There is not a scope on the gun
• Oh, they are fast-moving zombies...I do not like it
• Oh maybe he does have a scope I did not notice the first time
• They are wasting a lot of ammo on only a few D-Cays are they not?
• Well that bazooka was pointless
• I guess a bit does not mean death or infection in this universe
• Or was Carter not bit
• Yeah he was not bit
• THAT ZOMBIE FUCKING KNEECAPPED THAT MOTHER FUCKER!!
• This movie HAS to be longer than 90 minutes.  I just had a birthday while watching it
• Do the zombies stop and let people have these heartfelt moments?  If so that is nice of them
• Why did Perez just run into the horde?  Did I miss them run out of bullets?  He could have shot a few if he still had ammo right?  

Trying to be critical I feel like there are a lot of good opportunities in the flick.  Everything!  While the acting was subpar at times, the story disjointed, audio bad and well you get the picture there was a lot of groundwork.  I think it would have either been a good mini-series or just needs a budget.  Overall not nearly as bad as I thought it would be.  I will agree with IMDB and roundup, giving it a 3/10.

• This is a really bad copy but I am glad to have a copy at all
• OH MY GOD, I WANT THAT JINGLE FOR MY RINGTONE!  AMERICAS GREATEST SPORT!
• Lance is using the Macho Man's theme?  He does not dig it brother
• This song sucks
• Lance Russell was so good and natural
• What happened to Brian is very sad.  Gone way too soon
• I miss that crazy laugh
• King all dolled up today!
• Lawler with a brief shot there at WWF, interesting
• I love that the fans cheer Wolfie because he is a good guy.  The way it should be....even if I was not always that way 
• I love Lance arguing with people because he was the voice of the people at home

This was all about selling the Monday show.  Not worth watching unless you are going through the year like me.

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening...whenever it is you found this entry.  Today, 2020-11-11, I am checking out the next SMW show from February 19th, 1994.  I am sure Jimmy Cornette will be all over the show which is a good thing so I say let us go to the tape!

• That is why Larry never talked before
• Was that Uncle Les Thatcher?
• Michaels was wrestling before this was he not?  I feel like he was no Memphis TV but could be the same time frame
• Bobby Blaze always looked old even when he was young
• Weird that Blaze did not try to come in, did he get lost there?  Seems like it
• Lance is the first person to talk?  No Y2J?
• I love that Prichard was basically talking like Roddy Piper
• So weird that this is our main event!
• Nice edit to cover up something

Not a great show unfortunately from a viewer standpoint.  If you were in the territory though it was hot.  The highlights making you want to go to the next show was perfect.  This is what is missing in wrestling.  I have no reason to watch next weeks show now but back then I would have wanted to make sure I was in Hazard or wherever.

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening....whenever it is that you have found this entry.  Today, 2020-10-24, I am going into the way back machine and checking out the February 19th WCW Pro.  We are still a day away from Superbrawl so expect some Vader vs. Flair hype and other major matches.  It is time to get it on!

• I think I have seen these matches.  
• Rogers got destroyed, I love Vader squashes!
• I think these are WCW match
• Gotta love Regal and his promos
• Why would anyone cut Missy's hair like that?
• CLUBBERING!!!
• That is probably one of the worst looking elbows of all time
• Why did anyone think Steele was going to be a star?
• He has boots on now!
• Turner and Fonda there?
• Worst finisher EVER!  I would take the knuckle to the head from Slaughter over this
• Do you think Jane gave a damn about this show or Ted?
• Why would Steamboat skin the cat?  Hit the floor, get the DQ win and walk away!
• Fidel was around forever but always seemed clumsy. 
• I wonder how good Rude would have been in an NXT coach type role
• Rude with a leapfrog!  I do not remember him doing that often

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening...whenever it is you have found this entry.  Today, 2021-07-03, I am checking out last nights Smackdown.  We are going into Money in the Bank.  I did see a spoiler that there is a big return on the show.  Plus, last man standing between Zayn and Owens, which they always have amazing matches!  So I think it is time to go listen to Pat McAfee and that putz Michael Cole. 

• How great is Paul Heyman?  They need to have him open the show every week
• Edge looks good!
• Edge is an excellent promo, and I feel like he believes what he is saying
• Uggg Jimmy Uso is ANNOYING!
• Jerry Lawler is there?  Oh, it is Shinsuke.
• Are they going to do the DDP I lost everything storyline from 1994?
• Barry Darsow better be in the truck, or I am going to be pissed!
• Crack in that mouth?  
• Bayley is perfect
• Excuses?  How about the truth!
• Look at Heyman, playing that moronic Uso without saying a word!
• LAST MAN STANDING!!
• What if Steve is a Sami fan?
• There was no give to that table!  Damn KO!
• These two will kill each other for our entertainment, and I worry about that sometimes.

That show did not feel like 90 minutes.  It was really well-paced.  Edge was fantastic and I like evil Otis!  Could have done without the lengthy multiple Uso segments but overall a fun show!

Movie Review: Occupation Rainfall

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening....whenever it is you have found his entry.  Today, 2021-07-03, I am checking out the 202 flick Occupation Rainfall.  "Two years after aliens land on Earth, survivors from Sydney, Australia, fight in a desperate war as the number of casualties continue to grow."  It stars Dan Ewing, Temuera Morrison, Daniel Gillies and Ken Jeong.  I found this and with Ken Jeong I am going to check it out!  IMDB gives this a 5.6/10 so average.  I think we should go check this out!

• They have a random slight escape from that room?
• It is a concentration camp for aliens.  Sadly it is exactly what humans would do
• Jesus, it suddenly became Agent Smith attacking Neo with all his clones there
• Garry is a badass!
• This is totally human nature and it is sad
• Finally, Ken is in the movie and might make this watchable
• The Motherships look a little like they are from Mass Effect and the Reapers
• I think those negotiations are going well
• HE SHOT HER!  HE IS INSANE!
• Way too many storylines going on in this flick
• Oh shit now we have flaming walking aliens
• This guy is fucking disgusting.  I hope he gets eaten by the dog horse things

This flick was WAY too busy for me.  It seemed to have half a dozen storylines to try and keep track of and none of them very well defined.  I really feel like this should have been a limited series and could have been better.  Time to write these storylines out and whatnot.  Overall I agree with the 5.6.  It was good but not great.  Nothing special sadly.  

PS:  I wrote the above before finding out that this is the second in a series of movies so that is why stuff did not make sense.  It does not change how I feel currently but who knows how I will feel if I check out the first sometime.  

1994-02-12 WCW Saturday Night

Badd challenges Rick Rude for the big gold belt and more!

Another great show!  Slightly too long at times, probably should have skipped the Vader interview and the Rhodes/Pillman interview but all really good matches.  Sure I could say things about the Steele match but it was short and it should have been!  Two big debuts, one for WCW for the next few years and one for the future.  Plus maybe Johnny B. Badds best match of his career!

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening...whenever it is you have found this entry.  Today 2021-07-02, I am checking out the latest NXT UK.  I am behind don't the show so I do not know storylines or anything but it is wrestling and I love the stuff so enough chit chat I am ready to go to the UK!

• That is not Vic Joseph!
• Dawn looks like a character, looks very evil.  Put her with a very good heel like an that could be a decent combo!
• I like that Emilia did not just watch the splits that Dawn did all shocked and scared
• Kinda like a shining wizard by Dawn!
• No one in WWE should do a cutter, it should ONLY be Orton and those in a program with him
• What is with all the flips in wrestling into moves that do not make sense
• Good Emilia is not big enough to use a spear as a finisher
• Was Dawn trying to possess Emilia?
• Double knees for the win and it looked better than the V-Trigger in my opinion
• Old school UK wrestling with rounds and whatnot, interesting
• Starz with some nice escapes!
• Uggg, does Bate have a tat on his forearm now?  STOP GETTING TATS!
• These two are so smooth, almost too smooth as it seems like dance and not a fight
• BATE WITH A FALL!
• Nice backdrop which you do not see often!
• I love Nigel bringing up classic UK wrestlers including my favourite of all time William Regal
• A really nice counter to even up the match, a counter I do not remember seeing
• How are these two so good at their ages?
• I do not want to hear this promo, good grief!
• Nina has got herself into amazing shape!
• Why is Meiko smiling?
• I think these two were a team last night I watched, Amale and Nina
• Amale has REALLY white teeth
• I feel like Valkyrie and Dawn should be a team
• I always thought that having the long hair in your face would make wrestling harder but I guess not 
• Mila has some solid basics but seems unsure of herself.  I hope she gets to work a lot over there as I think she could have something as an actual female wrestler 
• That finisher will break your neck!  Good grief if you hit that wrong
• Kid seems to be favouring his one arm going in
• Kid really gets some speed on some of these moves
• Again no cutters allowed damn it!  Especially two in the same show

• Kid with a modified triangle!  Kid is GOOD!
• Uggg, the Spanish fly is a horrible move and just looks like they are working together
• Now we have the exchange shots.  This main event is making like this show less (I wrong my recap/final thoughts before the main event was finished)

• Too much for "TV"
• If this is not an injury angle for Kid it was WAY too much for "TV"

This might be the best modern show I have seen in a while.  I did not care for the main event as I feel like it was too much for a TV match, especially since you have the Takeover shows.  I liked that most of the matches were kept to a good time and showcased talent to build them up but not really killing their opponents.  If you took out the bad Eddie Dennis segment and the Amale/Meiko/Nina segment and I would have LOVED this should.

• I said Flexy Lexy was not a great promo but this was pretty good.  Straight forward but well done
• I love that the Quebecers try the switch when they look nothing alike!

• How does Justin Roberts still have a job?  Did he get caught during #metoo?

• 4 minutes in and Excaliber screamed his first move name
• So the buckle bomb nearly ended Sting's career and you have it in the first match into a ring post.  Yeah modern wrestling
• The refs head is distracting me, it is shaped weird...I also pulled Great Brian Last before starting this show so yeah
• Team Taz may have a second broken neck after that crucifix
• Page makes a really goofy face every once in a while.  
• Wait...is Page going for a moonsault?  I have only seen him do that.....in every match
• Dailys place is a pretty cool location for wrestling with the intimacy but three levels
• It is the first match and we are getting a superplex over the top to the ramp?  Will they need to cut off someone's head to win the Stadium Stampede?  
• Page can kick out of a top rope F-5?  There is no way to defeat Page then unless you shoot him in the head like a zombie I guess
• Seriously if Page is taking this in match one we will see death in the Stampede 
• I love Taz as an announcer.  I think he is the best in the business

The first match just had too many false finishes and big move kickouts for the first match.  Honestly Adam Page looked like Super Cena as they used to say.  It was silly and sad because the match was really a good match if you took that away.  Then you have the match about tennis shoes!  This match went WAY to long and the Bucks have go home heat with me.  If I NEVER saw them again that would not be a bad thing.  The Cody match basically buried Ogogo.  You cannot go anywhere with that feud or Ogogo now since he lost clean in his third match.  I would have had an angle where The Factory destroyed Cody, have him gone for six or eight months and have Dustin take the match even though he was already busted open earlier.  Have him fight and lose.  Then have Ogogo DESTROY people for the next six or eight months and getting ready to challenge for a title when Cody returns, screws Ogogo and then beats him.  Instead Ogogo is dead.  Miro could be the next big star if they do not screw it up...which means they probably will.  Britt and Shida were put in a bad spot, they should have followed the Battle Royal where there was less action.  It was sloppy but basically what wrestling has become most of the time.  The problem is it is like they wanted to be a heavyweight fight like the TNT title match but they just do not fit it.  I give up on these matches.  Nothing ends a match, you can get hit with 45 finishes and kick out.  Belt shots.  But 15 seconds in a mandible claw and it is tap tap tap.  Whatever!  The tag team match was what it was, basically a showcase for Sting and Darby to get over.  In case you can not tell I do not like Omega.  I think he is the most overrated wrestler in the business today!  He does nothing special and most of his moves are actually kind of stupid looking.  He makes stuipd faces and points a lot.  Shakes his head a lot like a baby face but is a heel.  He is a fucking joke that is high on the smell of his own shit.  That was so bad and fake looking and all set up.  That made me want to go find last years Money in the Bank match!  I am finishing this up while the fans sing Judas and I am annoyed.  This is wrestling now?  Fuck it is no wonder why I am enjoying 1994, a year most people say is the worst in modern years.  We get more and more Judas but we could not see the reaction of Orange Cassidy getting screwed by Omega?  Fuck Tony Khan and anyone who tells him this shit is good.  Good to great athletes being forced to do horrible shit.  In a word....I didn't like!

2021-05-28 Pro Wrestling Vision

 Good morning, good afternoon, good evening...whenever it is you have found this entry. Today, 2021-05-29, I am checking out a new show I found on Youtube.  It is a show from Florida called Pro Wrestling Vision.  I have no idea what I am going to see talent-wise but it is wrestling so why would I not watch?  I think it is time TO GO TO THE RING!

• Is this Team 3D's training school? (Update:  It is Hall & Zbyszko's school)
• Jason is pretty small but I like his confidence!
• I do not like the look for Jason however, the lack of ring gear is disturbing to me for some reason
• No announcing is also weird for me for a recording
• I like that, pull that stupid top knot!
• Way too early for a double knock down spot
• They really should make the camera a hard camera and put it on a tripod
• Orion has some solid basics
• A Texas Cloverleaf nice!
• Some experience and I think Orion could be something, I like him
• Uggg, an intergender match
• I am going to have a hard time taking this serious
• Tone has a 50+ pound weight advantage and probably 4+ inches, this should not be real competitive I don't think
• Tone gives off a very young Kofi vibe in body and size
• "Yay wrestling" - A fan
• A lot of go behinds in this match!
• Could not get the power bomb/edge or that was a unique counter
• Seriously a fight forever yell?  I guess people like what they like
• This is not as horrible as I thought but slightly unbelievable
• I think the person doing this interview is 14 years old!
• The fans have actually come alive for this match and do not like the Atomic Formula
• The one thing I am noticing is that all of these guys are small on this show thus far.  I know the business is trending that way but still weird
• Then you have Nick or Rip who looks like he has some size, no graphic so I have no idea which is which
• Oh man I miss doing the one more time chants.  Got Triple H to Pedigree the 1-2-3 Kid three times long before the Kid turned heel.  That was a fun time in East Lansing!  
• THAT IS NOT A TAG!  
• He did not really kick out, his shoulders did not leave the mat ref
• They really need to get this camera stationary as it is not doing the wrestlers any justice and missing some of the action in this match
• it is Nick who has some size to him from what I can tell with the fans chanting and yelling for Rip
• Not a lot of psychology in this tag match.  Feels very indy to me 
• The Boyz have some good chemistry and team work.  I like them thus far as a team
• Another missed shot in this tag match by the camera!
• The Atomic Formula does not have the timing the Boyz do
• I hate to see moves like the Million Dollar Dream and the Crossface Chickenwing just used as spots in matches.  They should be kept special but that is wrestling today
• Again that is not a legal tag.  I hate back slap tags!
• Quinones was late on that break up if he was suppose to break the pin up
• Yeah I like the Boyz!
• The 14 year old is back!
• I have found the beef in this match!  Wow!
• Beast is basically doing the Lord Humungous gimmick I think
• Is that the mom from Goonies?
• Deon James looks like a wrestler although I hate those warrior tassels 
• A real man from Michigan does not need a mic in a room like that!  
• This is like a grade schooler attacking an adult...did I suddenly switch on an AEW show?
• What is happening?  Is Zetta making random noises for "talking"?
• James looks a little bit like Monty Brown
• This is kind of embarrassing
• An angle match basically okay
• Seriously who the hell is this 14 year old?
• Yeah I like James.  He has something special with some seasoning.  Makes me really miss Monty Brown
• Kiss It is damn big!  To quote Gorilla Monsoon I hope they reinforced the ring!
• Coby looks like an athlete
• Uggg more intergender wrestling
• I did miss you Jimmy and Jason!
• Do they not pay the bills why did the lights go out?
• ITS BEAST!!!
• Really?  The girls are bullying the 500 pound monster in this match?  Good grief!
• I do not know how the monster is but I like him.  He has charisma for sure!
• Actually several of the guys on this show have had that charisma that makes me want to see more of them.  James, Taylor, Orion and this monster for example
• Looking it up it is Bobby Leger that is the 500 pound monster
• CHOKESLAM #2 and #3!
• My god I think he killed those girls with those chokeslams
• Is that a painted Kane mask that Beast is wearing?
• Taylor should have sold that chokeslam more and basically acted knocked out while getting the pin IMO

The first match was a little sloppy, Orion was good but Sanders seemed a step behind and off, not sure why.  Missed several moves and just seemed off.  Could be a bad night, could be inexperience.  I did not really like the intergender match at all.  It just is not believable like I said earlier.  Both did fine job but it took me out of the show.  The tag match was pretty sloppy and went to long.  Should have been about 5 minutes shorter with less back and forth early on.  I do not think either team has the experience to do what they tried to do here and that is not a bad thing.  Beast is Lord Humungous and that is not a bad thing, a good way to get a monster over.  At least it did not take James long to beat up whatever Zetta was.  More of an angle to set up future matches.  Jimmy Taylor would make a great heel manager, he reminds me of Lio Rush with Bobby Lashley.  The Hype Man type role.  

Overall this was an okay show.  A mix of inexperience and guys you can tell have a few years of training/wrestling.  Aside from Zetta and the intergender shit this was not a bad show at all.

2021-05-28 Dynamite

 

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening....whenever it is you have found this entry!  Today, 2021-05-29, I am going to watch last night's AEW Dynamite.  We are on the verge of Double or Nothing and this is the go-home episode!  I have not watched a lot of Dynamite in recent weeks so this will be a good reminder of storylines.  Let's get to it before the dynamite explodes!

• It is weird to see Christian on AEW!
• It is nice to see a full crowd...I just hope it does not bite the country in the ass!
• Scissor?  
• Scissor has half a football team out with him!
• Scissor is winded already?
• Peter is pretty loud for a librarian....is he still a librarian?  When and why did he stop being one?  Nevermind
• Hot boy summer?  Dear lord!  That was just said on national TV
• I thought Sting was in a match at the last PPV?  I guess that was a street fight....since JR just clarified 
• Sting has to be saved by the Dark Order?  Really?  Seriously?
• Dear lord Cody came out with more people than are on the MLW roster!
• I do not think that Wight knows how to use that scale
• Just make it up Paul!
• Are they seriously setting off fireworks for Cody weighing 218?  Oh it is for the minor league baseball team
• Sweet baby Jesus this is taking FOREVER!
• Cody should see about removing that neck tat, it is awful
• Enough of this, this segment was long before it started

• Excaliber looks like a goof with dreadlocks and a mask
• A really good package here and it would be really good if it was not for a goofy-ass match like this

• Why do we have Excaliber on National TV the entire time and Taz just comes on and goes?
• Joey looks like a carny that comes into town to run the tilt-a-whirl and sell beer to high school kids
• Oh god, we just saw a bit of Joey's Nutella ass!
• "Big Singles Match"?  Really?  
• OH MY GOD I LOVE TAZ!
• Well that was one of the most unsafe moves I have seen, guess one broken neck in AEW was not enough
• PULL UP YOUR TRUCKS JOEY!
• I believe JR should have used the phrase bowling shoe ugly
• I am supposed to believe that Page takes 10+ minutes to beat Jelly Nutella but stands a chance against Brian Cage?  
• I thought Ricky Starks has a broken neck
• After watching you take that long to be Jelly I think I could beat you, Adam
• The hell? My copy of the show just shut off mid-sentence from Mox
• And comes back at the start of it again?  Great production value!
• They are not the best tag team in the world
• Is Eddie the most believable person in pro wrestling now?
• Why is Pac in his gear?  Is he wrestling?
• Why would Pac call himself the Bastard?
• Why would Kenny stop the One Winged Fairy?
• Look at those nails on Jade!  Cannot believe that would be fun to wrestle against
• Why did that match have to go through a break?
• Miro back to being what he should be, a monster!
• I feel bad for JR, his voice seems shot
• I know that Dante is has a winning streak but Miro should not be selling like this for this kid if Miro is a future star for you.  Everyone hates WWE 50/50 booking but look at AEW and their matches
• Why did we have the first Jake & Lance segment if it was basically the same thing?
• Why does AEW bring up WWE so often?
• Skye and Page are really good and a pretty decent team
• Jericho looks like a bloated aging rock star....oh wait
• So Sammy is going to turn on the Dinner Circle right?
• So Proud and Powerful will not be there Sunday right?

This show is hard to watch sometimes.  When you have guys like Joye Janela on the show it is hard to take the show seriously.  He is a joke.  But then you have guys like Eddie Kingston who seems extremely real.  You have Pac who looks like a badass but at the same time, you have Orange Cassidy in the main event angle!  You have good angles that seem real like Archer and Miro but then you have Cody and Ogogo going 10 minutes to weigh in.  Overall this did nothing to get me to want to watch the PPV.  I will because I have what Roddy Piper called the sickness but lets how the "NEW" AEW after the PPV is better booked.

1994-02-19 WCW Power Hour

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening....whenever it is you have found this entry.  Today, 2020-10-21, I am getting into the way back machine to check out WCW Pro from February 19th.  We are on the eve of Superbrawl boys and girls so expect the last minute hype with lots of Vadr and Flair.  Enough talk it is time to....

• Bischoff?  Where is Crispy Cruise?
• Dear lord Missy oh Missy!
• Why do the belts look so small in the Nastys hands?
• The Nastys always look like they are just beating guys up!
• Missy did not pick up her glasses because she would show the audience her ass in that dress I think
• I do not think the fans would be upset 
• Ugg Bagwell was always annoying
• Holy shit Terry Taylor just called it an enziguri!  
• Ugg that bird plane thing was so set up
• I love that spinning tumbleweed legdrop
• I miss the control/event centers
• I am digging Mean Gene picking up the phone at the end of each of these
• Regal is one of the highlights of WCW anytime he is on the screen
• I love how quick he took care of Champion
• BARRY GOLDBERG ON THE POWER HOUR!!
• Payne barely got over on that leapfrog

I am going to end the show prior to the main event since it is an old match from Superbrawl 2.  A good show but matches we have seen if you watch Worldwide.  The commentary though is fun because Terry is pretty good and honestly Eric and Larry were a really good combo.
