The Jennifer and Scott Petkov List (Formerly the Tool List)

This summary is not available. Please click here to view the post.

Tears of a clown? (A blog written by a Fat Man in tears)

As I type this I am in tears. Why? Because of a young girl in Michigan. If you've gone to my podcast you know I was angry yesterday after finding out about a young girl with Huntington Disease was mocked and bullied by her neighbors. This 7 year wasn't bullied by kids but by their parents. People my age. I joined a facebook page supporting her and looking at the pictures and she always looks so happy and for this assholes to mock this girl makes me sick. I am not a violent person but I swear to god if anyone ever deserved to get a old school ass kicking its Scott and Jennifer Petkov. I won't go crazy here as I did it on my podcast already. But if there is a God, and shit like this continues to make me believe there isn't, then Scott and Jennifer have a world of hurt coming to them. I don't wish ill on people normally but if I find out that someone hurt these two people I won't shed a tear and honestly I would buy the people who did it a beer...hell probably two.

This young girl was handed a life sentence and these people mock her because their kids didn't get invited to her birthday party...well there is probably a reason.

This story just put one more nail in my coffin as far as my belief that there is good out there.

In closing let me say that the Fat Man's Tool list will forever be renamed as the Jennifer and Scott Petkov list. Fuck both of you.

Oh and for the record I do hope none of this blows back on the Petkov's kids and I hope they learn from this and they do something good with their lives. Scott and Jenny...FUCK YOU TWO!

Brief Blog on McD's

I am going to do a quick entry as I have a lot on my mind but I want to do this while it is still 'hot' as it were. Go HERE to see a video by an artist. This 'artist' took a happy meal and left it on her table for six months and it didn't mold or decay or create worms or anything like that. I won't say anything about it but let's just say I agree with the comments to the article.

Rot and Ruin by Jonathan Maberry review

Rot and Ruin is the newest book by Jonathan Maberry, author of Patient Zero and Dragon Factory. This is a completely different book from Patient Zero and the Joe Ledger books.

First off let me say that this book is considered young adult. I had no clue and it doesn't really matter but after the fact it makes since. Unlike so many zombie books out there this is as much a coming of age book as much as about the zombies.

As I started reading the book it all seemed REALLY familiar. Then I realized why. This is based on or is a continuation of a short story in The New Dead Anthology that I reviewed earlier.

The book follows the maturation of Benny Imura after what is referred to as "First Night" or the night that the dead rose. Benny lives with his older brother Tom whose is a bounty hunter out in the Ruin, which is anything beyond the gates of their home, Mountaintown.
Without giving away much else we are introduced to several other bounty hunters including Charlie and The Motor City Hammer. Throw in Gameland, Nix and zombies and you have quite a story.

Maberry has the ability to make you see what he is writing. As I said with Patient Zero the scenes he wrote I literally saw in my head. Maberry is so extremely vivid with his writing.

Some of the places I have found list this as Benny Imura #1 and if that is true I'm cool with that. These characters have legs. I want to know more about Benny and Nix and the Ruin. Also I wouldn't argue with knowing more about the experiences from First Night that we learn throughout the book. Perhaps even just a book about First Night, even if it is a series of short stories, would be interesting.

As a fan of any book with zombies I enjoyed this for a different reason. This coming of age story felt real in a world that couldn't (well hopefully couldn't) be real. I started off reading a book about zombies and finished a book about a young man becoming a man. Not the kind of story I went looking for but a story I enjoyed. Maberry has become one of my favorite authors. Be it Benny Imura or Joe Ledger or perhaps yet another character that I will connect with, I can't wait for his next book.

Pick this up. As always follow this link to Barnes and Noble and pick the book up for your NOOK or order the book. Even better, as I always say, go support your local book store!

Movie review of Mindhunters

There was a movie several years ago I wanted to see called Mindhunters. It starred LL Cool J, Christian Slater, Val Kilmer and several others. The premise of the movie is that a group of want to be FBI profilers are taken to an island for their final test before being accepted or rejected as a profiler. Kilmer plays the instructor while the rest of the cast is trying to get into the FBI. Once they get to this island, which they are the only people on, they realize that there is a killer on the island with them. The killer doesn't just kill the profilers however. He uses traps throughout the island to kill people.

I remember seeing a preview for this movie years ago and thinking that looks interesting. Then nothing. I don't know if this movie EVER made it to theatres to be honest. I would have seen it had I known it was released. Over all it is a movie I like because while they do a good job of misdirection you also aren't sure. I'll be honest the person I thought it was it wasn't.

It had an Usual Suspects vibe to it as you knew it was one of the people but you didn't know who. The answer wasn't right in your face like Suspects ended up being in a way. While I don't believe anyone figured the Usual Suspects out even though some claim to this one you can figure out.

Not a bad movie, it seems really long, and that isn't a bad thing even though I did think it was going on for quite a while, it was good. It's a movie most people haven't heard of I don't think but is worth checking out.

Podcast as a blog

Below is basically what my first podcast said. It is NOT a transcript as I wrote the blog first and then recorded (and re-re-re-re-re-re-recorded) the podcast. I think I'll continue doing them once a week or so as I think it could be interesting if I do it on the right topic at the right time...or if the old angry Fat Man visits for a day!

This is an update to the firefighter story from a few days ago. I found this story on theblaze.com I believe. As I've said before I try to listen to Glenn Beck and any talk radio show when possible. I have to say I am SHOCKED that Glenn Beck says that this policy is like Obamacare.

I agree with Glenn on some things and other I think he is flipping nuts on. On this I think it is nuts. First off his co-host or whatever this guy Pat is mocked this gentleman. That in itself is wrong and personally I believe is EXTREMELY wrong. If you disagree with his that is fine but you don't mock a person who just lost EVERYTHING in his life.

He makes this sound like it is social justice. That is NOT the case as I see. Yes there is emotion involved here. I am now an emotional guy after years of not being but I do still use logic when I make any decision. I am sorry but logic says you save the house. Glenn makes this sound like it is fire insurance. Fire Insurance is for AFTER you have a fire, it is there in case you LOSE everything in a fire. My car insurance isn't there to STOP a car accident it is there for AFTER an accident. My health insurance doesn't STOP me from getting sick it is there to help AFTER I get sick.

As I said the other day I find this sick. Now on Beck's show they point out that before the 75 dollar fee there was NO fire coverage in that area. HUH? No fire coverage in an rural area? That makes no since. Does that mean those people don't pay taxes?

I lived in the middle of nowhere Michigan for 8 or so years. I saw a fire happen a few houses away from my grandparents place and you know what, they came out. Now maybe they had to pay a fee I don't know and I'll have to ask next time I talk to them. However isn't that part of taxes?

I've never been a homeowner and I could be completely wrong but you pay taxes when your a homeowner I believe. I always thought those taxes went to pay for things like the police and the fire services.

Let me say that I understand what Glenn and his asshole co-host were saying. He didn't pay the fee so he doesn't get the service. If I don't pay for the power it gets shut off. If I don't pay for my phone it gets shut off. I really do understand their point. They point out that if the fire department HAD put out the fire the next year why would ANYONE pay the fee. I understand that. I see their point and they are using logic there so I thought about that.

They have excellent points. All their points are correct and I can't argue with that and if we were strictly logical beings they are right, but we aren't Vulcan's.

Okay here is something else as I will veer off topic for a second. Glenn on his show is now talking being a beacon. Being a shining light. How do you go from you didn't pay 75 dollars so you lose everything to telling his listeners to be shining lights for others. Were those firefighters being beacons of light? Does he honestly believe that God wanted that man's house to burn down and for that man to suffer? If he meant what he was saying about being a shining light had ONE firefighter fought that fire HE would have been a beacon. For the record I don't blame the firefighters as they would have lost their jobs but what a beacon that one man would have been.

Now I don't know what I would have done in that case. I want to say that I would have told the fire chief to suck my dick and would have tried to put that fire out but I don't know. Would I risk my job for what is right? Again I want to say I would but I really don't know. I am not a good person. I don't think I've ever said that I was because I'm not. I know right from wrong when I see however. What was done to those people in Tennessee was wrong and there is no way around it.

The last point I want to make is this. They just had a caller in on the show that basically said what I said about taxes and Glenn had a good point that I don't know if this county was set up this way. I don't know how it is either. I wonder if the police department is the same way. I mean the argument is that he didn't pay because his taxes didn't go the city. Does that mean the police don't go out there either?

There are a lot of things unclear about this the more I write about it but no matter what for firefighters to watch as a person's home and all their belongs burn is wrong from a human stand point. As much as I hate say this maybe I am actually human...I think I threw up a little in my mouth saying that.

As I write this I am contemplating making this my first podcast. Maybe I'll record it, listen to it, and see what I think. I already have several other blogs in mind. One on the bullying issue that is going on in America causing young people to commit suicide. With all these heavy topics I also want to do something lighter so I want to do a blog on the new TV Season.

My First podcast

At the end of last week I recorded my first podcast. Let me know what you think. Should I keep doing it?

The world has gone INSANE!

I mean what the title says, the world has gone INSANE! Let me give you all some examples.

In Tennessee firefighters allowed a home to burn down. Not only allowed it but WATCHED as this happened. Why? Did the home owners rape a dog and beat the children of the firefighters? Did he spit on the majors wife and call her a whore? Nope, he didn't pay a 75 dollar fee to get fire protection because he didn't live in the city limits. That's right, they didn't pay the fee so they lost EVERYTHING. You have to pay a fee to get fire protection in this country now?

This isn't the America I know (damn I am starting to sound like Glenn Beck sometimes). How does a firefighter NOT stop a fire? Do we now have to pay the police to protect us? This is bullshit and personally makes me sick to my damn stomach. But that wasn't the only thing that made me realize that the world has gone fucking (first f-bomb of the blog! WHOO!) insane.

Follow this link to a video of a woman, Virginia Ironside...some big columnist in England, saying that she would smother her own child if she was handicapped. The other guest on whatever show this is looks as shocked as I did when I heard this. For the love of God and all things good and evil how can ANYONE say that? I joke about a lot of things in life, hell some...no most of them inappropriate. I will continue to do so but never ever would I say, in a serious tone, that handicapped children should be smothered. I don't give a shit HOW much a baby is suffering you don't fucking smother it.

Lastly, like I need more to show the insanity that is infecting people, is this video here. First off the video was found on theblaze.com, a news site founded by Glenn Beck. Put that aside and look at the video. This video is about some 10-10 website that wants use to lower our carbon footprint. On the surface an okay cause if you believe in that whole global warming thing, which of course I do although I'm not entirely convinced it isn't a natural thing, although doing things like being 'green' can't hurt things. However in the video, in case it has been removed like it has been on Youtube, shows people getting blown up when they don't want to do anything to help with the carbon thing. That's right, as the ad says, no pressure. None at all, if you don't we'll blow you up.

Fuck me, seriously? This is how we are going to get people to do what we want now? No pressure right? I am starting to understand how people go insane when the look at what the world is doing out there. I have joked about building a bunker and leaving the real world behind, hell I even had a dream a few days ago about it, but seeing shit like this makes me actually want to do it. Honestly just go out in the middle of nowhere and never EVER deal with the real world again. Either that or get really REALLY drunk. f

quick book review for Dying to Live: Life Sentence

Another day and another zombie book. This book was good. It is told from two points of view, one from Zoey (who you'll remember from the first book) and the second being Truman. I can't say a whole lot without ruining part of the story. I enjoyed it and stayed up late to finish the book, the only two I've done that with in a long time was Under the Dome and Day By Day Armageddon. I would suggest picking it up as it was well done. Pick it up if you like zombie books.

Go to BN and pick up a copy or get the ebook for your nook

How do they do that?

I have one question for my few readers, how does a man like Bill O'Reilly or Sean Hannity get their own shows? How did they get started. I've decided after watching and listening to months and months of Glenn Beck and people like him that I can do that and I think given time I could do that.

Also I am starting to believe that all of them were wrestling fans growing up. Listen to them, especially Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh. They are like Bobby Heenan (which I guess Letterman and Jon Stewart compared Glenn Beck to the Brain) or the late Capt. Lou.

But seriously Jon Stewart wants to Restore Sanity and Stephen Colbert wants to Keep Fear Alive. I want to keep Insanity Alive. If anyone can reach the same level of insanity (and I mean that in the best way possible) of Glenn Beck I can.

Put me in coach!
