Movie Review: Son of Bigfoot

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening...whenever it is you have come across this entry.  Today (11/22/17) I am checking out the 2017 flick Son of Bigfoot.  It currently has a 6.1 out of 10 at IMDB.  It stars Cinda Adams, George Babbit and Laila Berzins.  "A teenage boy journeys to find his missing father only to discover that he's actually Bigfoot."  I downloaded this because I thought it would be a bad movie...unfortunately it is a weird cartoon.  Lets see what happens....

  • Don't use your gun gun?  What does that mean?
  • Why do bad guys always have the mohawks?  Is it because good guys know it looks stupid?
  • Really?  A teacher reading the inquirer?
  • Yes....push your feet back into your shoes
  • Wait...so wrapping your feet in toliet paper is a better idea?
  • The nerd is on the football team?
  • Ah yes the stereotypical bullies
  • Cheese and crackers nice ears ears
  • Wow an Asian camera joke!
  • Was that kid wearing under roos?
  • I wonder if this is what constitutes good writing in Hollywood these days
  • They're just going to stand there?
  • Yeah...because the dad you never meet is the best thing to go looking for....
  • Getting into a truck with a stranger....yep...nothing wrong there
  • Wait...so his mom banged Bigfoot?
  • A lot of random animal shots in this flick
  • His feet have minds of their own suddenly?  This is so strange
  • Zombie bear?
  • That bear trap is getting used a lot in this flick
  • Bigfoot dad didn't think about sending him back to mom or let mom know even?
  • Bigfoot with a banjo....a rednecks worst nightmare
  • How does he know what bigfoot hair looks like?
  • Maybe the worst dad ever
  • Is that car made of out paper?
  • Worst guards since Stormtroopers?
  • The guy called tech support for a bear attack?
  • A lot of feet in this movie...and feet are gross
  • The hair keeps growing?
  • Dad of the year strikes again
  • The building would be insured and could rebuild.  Just keep the kid until the rebuild
  • Not a big music budget in this flick....
  • No one is saying anything about the fact that the mom banged bigfoot?
  • A new song....weird
  • She is still banging bigfoot?
  • No one calls about a bear in the neighborhood?
  • Good grief is she going to bang bigfoot too?
Well that was interesting.  I guess I will give it a 5/10.  It wasn't bad but it wasn't good.

The moral of the flick, that being different is okay, is a good thing.  I think it is an idea that needs to be said more often for people actually.  That is really where the good ends for this flick unfortunately.

It had that weird "modern" art where the humans do not look like humans and are over exaggerated.  I am picky about my cartoon art as you know and I am not a fan of this art direction.  I also found the voice acting to be...well pedestrian.  It was there and honestly was about the same throughout.  It felt like everyone was just reading their lines with no emotion.  The end where the mom says something to the effect of "don't mess with my family" it was like she was ordering from a drive thru, no real emotion behind it.

It was average at best.  I can not say to watch it or not watch.  I wont' recommend it but it might be worth watching if you have younglings.
