Gotham Season 2 Episode 4: Strike Force

I am back boys and girls, this time with the next episode of Gotham!  This time "Barnes forms a task force with help from Gordon; Penguin is kept busy trying to fulfill a favor for Galavan; and Nygma asks Kringle out on a date."  Who is Barnes...I guess we find out!  And away we go!...

• Still no happy about Jerome being gone already
• Did I turn on The Warriors?
• Butch is back!  AWESOME!
• VIC MACKEY!  He is the new boss?  He is Barnes?  Awesome!
• Wait...he is a good cop?  Weird...
• I bet Harvey is regretting his decision to come back
• Why is he being so up front with Penguin
• Why would Theo stop the Maniax and then go to Penguin
• Someone will be sleeping with the Fishes...see what I did there
• Now did I turn on the Police Academy?  Where is Hightower?
• How great is Butch!
• Pretty sure it wouldn't be hard to tell the cops who did it
• Those kids have some stupid hair cuts....and the hair comments are back
• Damn Alfred!
• Them is some WHITE shoes!
• What is he going to do with his clothes?
• Gollum is back....I mean Nygma
• Nygma has a five head!
• I like Barnes already
• Oh Theo, you know exactly how to play people
• Kringles hair is weird...more hair comments!
• Oh man Victor is back!  You don't mess with him!
• Jim, I think your past is catching up with you
• How did the best shot in the Academy constantly miss?
• Nygma, you dog!
• Worlds are colliding boys and girls

Well that pretty much set up the rest of the season doesn't it.  The Strike Force vs. Penguin vs. Team Theo.  Where will the cards fall?  I'm intrigued to say the least.  I like the direction and the writing is good, although the initial exchange between Barnes and Gordon was a bit cliche.  

Overall even if I hate Jerome being gone I am still enjoying each episode.  I also like the inclusion of Bruce this season.  It doesn't seem as forced as last season.

Return of the Walking Dead, Season 6 Episode 1

IT HAS RETURNED!  The Walking Dead is back!  I'm sorry this is a day late but as my friends on Facebook know Comcast screwed me over yet again with both live streaming and my cable being down.  I was not happy yesterday.

• This is a horrible plan!
• Damn straight we'll do it live!  How cool is Abraham
• I don't buy they'd all move as a group like that.  We've seen where they will just stand around without prompting.  Remember the restaurant with the stupid cat art?
• Is this suppose to be in black and white?
• He wasn't wrong, Rick and company are dangerous!
• Eugenes hair is important...oh Noah...
• Flashbacks are in black and white now?  Interesting.  I wish the whole show as in black and white, much cooler that way
• Is Ron upset because the girl is with Carl or the other way around?
• Seriously this is a horrible plan by the sound of it and I don't know it all yet!
• Take care of themselves?  Like you guys did?  
• Where did they get helium?  
• Common courtesy?    What do you know of that anymore Rick?
• How great is Eugene?
• I wouldn't let Heath in after that comment.  COME ON EUGENE you're better then that
• Where are they getting all this gas?  It has been several years
• The hair game is important
• Rick, you're way isn't the only way, you forget that sometimes
• Deanna is a cold person now, not sure if that is a good or bad thing
• Why does that kid Ronnie have a ski cap on?  He looks like a hipster douche
• I like Morgan, he makes good points.  However he is the voice of reason and that isn't a good thing!
• I think she did take his protein bar, almost positive she did actually
• It is who he is now Morgan, a bad guy.  His rules sound a lot like the Governors at times
• Did Ronnie learn from Carl how to be stupid in the Zombie Apocalypse?
• How did they all get caught in the quarry?  
• So they all just keep following Daryl?  Wouldn't something attract some of the others?  Still not buying it
• Why are the walkers attracted to each other here but not other places?  We'd see giant herds all the time otherwise
• Glenn's plan is as bad as Rick's!
• SHUT UP CAROL!
• Carter is the only one thinking straight
• Sort of like Fortified motorways
• Should be using fireworks not flares, like in Land of the Dead
• Good point Daryl, you need people and society to survive 
• Did Nicolas lure Glenn?  I don't remember it quite like that but I could be wrong
• How did Glenn and company screw that up so bad?  That should have been easy
• Rick, seemingly always the politician 
• Well Carter has guts, I'll give him that.  Not real smart but guts
• Just the movement in the woods would bring the some of the walkers into the woods, they always seen to know where humans are any other time
• Well that is too bad, now there is no one to stand up to Rick 
• I don't know if you can bring him back Morgan?
• Now you know you can't Morgan, Rick won't be coming back to the man in the armory
• Would false teeth cause an infection and kill people like a regular bit?
• Wonder who is blowing their horn

Well that was an interesting show.  You get a feel for where the main characters are mentally.  I really enjoy the show so when I am critical of the show it is because I really enjoy it.  

The one thing that really bothered me is that the walkers didn't follow behavior we've seen in the past.  We haven't seen the walkers herd up on their own before but they did this time.  As I mentioned in my "live" thoughts we've seen walkers just stand around when not provoked.  I love the show but I hate when writers don't follow their own "rules" already set.

Overall I really enjoyed the show and I am interested in seeing where things go.  You've got the Wolves, you have the herd, you've got a possibly internal feud with Rick/Alexandrea with others and between Rick and Morgan/Daryl.  

Doctor Who: Before the Flood: A Review

Its time to go 

• And I am doing what The Doctor told me, googling the Bootstrap Paradox
• I feel like there is a lot of Bootstrap Paradox issues in Doctor Who
• Is his guitar sonic like his glasses do you think?
• Do you think O'Donnell is the next companion?  I kind of like her
• Was that an Auton?  
• The ghost effect is pretty cool
• Who knew facetime was so important
• Again, I wonder if O'Donnell is the next companion, I like her!
• No I don't think it was an Auton, just dummies, but I don't trust dummies anymore.  Thank you Doctor Who!
• Really?  Well that sucks.  
• I think Bennett should have punched the Doctor
• That damn bell again?  That bell does nothing good
• Why haven't we figured out why the Doctor looks like the guy from the Fires of Pompeii
• I like these soldiers, they are honest and say what they want
• Oh no, its not just the ghosts you have to fear Lunn
• Awesome voice for the Fisher King!
• Is she part bat?
• The Fisher King is pretty bad ass looking

Hmmm, I'm not sure what to think of this episode.  I am very disappointed that O'Donnell died.  I really liked her character, more than the fan favorite Osgood.  I do like that the Doctor used the rules to his advantage.  I am also liking the Clara and Doctor dynamic more and more.  Overall I enjoyed the episode but not as much as the first half.  I am not sure about next weeks episode but I'll be checking it out!

Presidents Day: A movie Review

Hello again boys and girls!  I have been on the look out for horror movies since it is October.  I found this flick.  Presidents Day!  "A high school election turns deadly when a homicidal maniac dressed like Abe Lincoln starts killing off candidates."  How could I not want to check this flick out!  It stars Bennie Mack McCoy IV, Lizzy Denning and Nicolette le Faye.  As for 10/9 it has a 5.2/10 over on IMDB.

• Did he just say George Washington made him so hot?
• Less then a minute in and we've got nudity?  
• Wow the acting in this flick is...um....horrible
• Chelsea has to be/or looks to be 30
• This flick is screaming independent film
• What the hell is the point of this scene?  Oh to make me think its the fat wheezing janitor?
• I have no idea what the kid said...was that the best take?  Who edited this film?

• Was that flirting with bow tie teacher guy?  If so that was horrible
• Is that kid wearing two polo shirts?  Was that cool in 2010?
• Who uses a flat spatula for spaghetti?  
• What is with the weird surfer type music version of when the Saints go Marching in...or I think that is what it is
• Good grief, I'd roll my eyes too my gothic sister
• Wait it will melt flesh but won't burn hair?  That is weird
• Is that wine in the school gym?
• Wait.. you're going to go through the house to the room but first throw stones at the window? Why not just knock on the door?
• This movie is horrible.  
• Another half hour of this...I don't know if I'll make it

I made it but it was awful.  I honestly don't have anything good to say about this flick.  Nothing.  I mean I could say the few brief shots of nudity was nice but it was ruined by the bad acting!  Do NOT watch this film unless you want to see a bad bad movie.  I mean if you truly like bad bad movies this is one for the list.  It is awful  1/10 boys and girls.  Do not watch it...but if you do want to see it go buy it on my amazon store!  But seriously it is awful.  Avoid it!

The Scorch Trials: A review

Hello and again boys and girls.  Today I'm watching the second in the Maze Runners series, The Scorch Trials.  "After having escaped the Maze, the Gladers now face a new set of challenges on the open roads of a desolate landscape filled with unimaginable obstacles."  It stars Dylan O'Brien, Kaya Scodelario and Thomas Brodie-Sangster.  I enjoyed the first flick so lets check this out!

Sending the kids away to save them?  Or sacrifice them?

• What a way to start a flick, crying children.  Why not kick a puppy while you’re at it
• Zombies?  Vampires?  First day the new Harry Potter book went on sale?  What is going on?
• Oh it’s him.  He is always slimy.  ALWAYS, like Bill Paxton
• Why trust them and not WYKD?
• Uggg, I hate needles
• Are we sure WYKD is the bad group?  Or the only bad group?
• Why would you want the top bunk?
• Why would they lock them in?
• I think those things attacking were old “maze kids” after whatever they do to them when they leave.  
• Sneaking through the vents?  Is this when the alien attacks?  Oh wrong movie
• Why do they make vents big enough for people to crawl through?  Major security risk
• Or what?  What if I don’t get my ass back in the chair?
• Perhaps the worse security guards ever!
• Basically just like WYKD, who didn’t call/see that coming?
• Harvest?
• Where those spider robot things taking the kids for the right arm
• Yep, worst security EVER!
• Shoot them!  You’ve got at least one gun
• Shit their non-lethal rounds, I’d being raining down hellfire on those fucks
• They should have kept Dr. Paiges existence a secret, a big reveal
• Lots of darkness in this flick, being afraid of the dark would be bad
• Nice use of sound for whatever they are
• They’re in a mall?
• Where are they running to?
• Is this what the flare did to people?
• They look like the monsters from Waters of Mars
• The bad part is that you can’t see what is happening, its too dark
• They fell asleep after that?  I don’t think I’d sleep for a week
• That one kid is infected with the “clicker” disease
• They told you kids not to run 
• They have horrible horrible luck.  Clickers, storms, being stupid
• Serpentine boys and girls, serpentine!
• That one kid has to be asking where the Doctor is about now.  See the British kid was on Doctor Who....never mind
• And we’re back in the dark
• Are they pets?  Alarm system?  Both?
• Where did they get the flashlights?
• Why are they trusting a group with clickers on chains?
• I’m guessing Jorge has heads in fish tanks like the Governor
• Oh shit it is Gus from Breaking Bad!  
• Seal Team 6 is on the case bitches!  Or Joe Ledger
• This flick seems very long to me, unlike the first one
• That is a good song Jorge!
• Again why trust this guy?  It makes no sense...but what other choice do they have?
• Are they in the belly of a whale?
• Can rats spread the flare?
• So flare is like the z germ right?  Or whatever is in Last of Us?
• The glass should hold up, it’s a sky scraper right?  Isn’t that glass like uber strong?
• Way too many characters in this film....wait...is that Wash?
• Rave time!  Hell’s yay!
• I feel like I’m watching the remake of Land of the Dead
• This scene feels very pointless
• So now WYKD is trying to kill them?  I’m confused
• Oh so it wasn’t them
• I hope I’m not suppose to understand what is happening, because I’m confused
• How long is this movie?
• I still don’t get the mazes...should I?
• These kids are way too trusting.  DTA, Don’t Trust Anybody 

I am slightly disappointed in this flick.  I enjoyed the first one but this one seemed out of place.  The kids, while not brain surgeons, weren’t as stupid as they were here.  They made the same mistakes over and over again.  Trusting people they didn’t know.  I know this is the second film in the series and is kind of a place holder but it still needed to be well done.  I feel like they made a lot of mistakes logically and that worries me.

There was a lot of hope for this series and now I don’t know.  I give it a 5/10.  Average at best.  I hope if they finish the series it will be better then this.  It has potential!
