1994-02-19 WCW Saturday Night

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening...whenever you have found this entry.  Today I am checking out the Saturday Night before Superbrawl!  Flair will be here I am sure and so will Vader I am guessing.  I have no idea what is going to be on the show but I think it is time to go find out!
  • The Boss...how did WWF not stop this the moment he showed up on TV?
  • Why is "Jungle" from the Everglades?
  • I love that Heenan just commented about the Everglades and Jungle thing
  • Did Steele just use the Stinger Splash?  Now we know why he did not stick around long
  • Worst finisher ever!
  • Payne was not what you would call a great promo was he?
  • A brush your teeth chant!
  • I love that the brush your teeth chant is still going for Missy
  • I wonder if they Nastys were as sloppy as they appear
  • And the Nastys get the win with the worst looking elbow ever
  • Did Ray Traylor have that much of an accent in WWF?  I feel like he hid it for Vince
  • I was always a big fan of The Patriot and really enjoyed his run in WCW
  • Regal challenging the Patriot!  That is why Regal is the greatest TV champ ever!!
  • Hell of a dropkick!
  • Did Santana ask Scotty Steiner for his 1990 ring gear?
  • A big win for the Patriot with the Uncle slam and looks good
  • Bagwell vs. Booker T, the match that ruined WCW in 2002!
  • Was 1994 the best year for tag teams in WCW since they left the NWA?
  • THAT SHOULD BE A DQ!  Booker went over the top!!!
  • Heat was much more of a brawling team here before they renamed them to Booker and Stevie Ray
  • Scorpio killed himself!
  • I do love this version of Vader, 92-94
  • Vader looks like he kills people yet you hear stories he does not.
  • It is so odd that Parker had a job for another 7 years but guys like Bobby Eaton would not
  • Weird, the teams are in wrong corners in my mind
  • I always like Lightning as Cobra, thought he was underrated
  • I do not remember a shoulder breaker in the past from Boss
  • Second best piledriver in wrestling!
  • It is amazing how much Brian's son looks like him.  It is like looking at a clone!
  • Jesus that was a little graphic for 1994!
  • This Mauler is AWFUL!
This felt like a very long show and very little movement, which is to be expected.  They have a big PPV tomorrow night but a really long AWFUL main event did not help.  Honestly this show was not good to be honest.  I cannot recommend anything on this show.

1994-02-12 WCW Pro

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening...whenever it is you found this entry. Today, 2020-08-17, I am getting in my way back machine to go to WCW Pro from the 12th of February 1994.  I have no idea what is going to be on the show so I think we should just jump right into it!
  • Ah yes Flair and Vader and the bait and switch and bait again for the match
  • Two very underrated guys here, Badd and Rogers
  • If you do not follow Rogers on Twitter you should but it is NOT safe for work or young children!
  • Both of these guys are fantastic and such great characters
  • Its too bad Mero could not get a character in WWF that worked because he could have been a star I think
  • Another guy that I think we looked down on back in 1994 but today would be a star.  Roma looks good and is smooth in the ring, but he was just average when he was active.  What does that say about this generation?
  • Kendall is a little goofy looking
  • Roma was just a generation too soon
  • I always like Nasty Ned on these enhancement matches
  • And Mick is Mick, how can you not like him!
  • What is Payne wearing?
  • Some miscommunication there between Mick and Tony....or Tony sandbagged him!
  • I wonder if there are recordings of the old WCW Hotline, I would love to hear them
  • 5 really strong wrestlers and Frankie who is that not bad at all!
  • I do not understand how Brad was not a star at this point, just makes no sense!
  • Orndorff went for a drop kick?
  • Think about it, four of the six guys in this match should be in any Hall of Fame!
  • Is Rude the perfect looking man to be a pro wrestler?  Tall, tan, muscular and so well proportioned.  As someone to draw a pro wrestler and it is Rude
  • So weird it is Brad that is doing the selling most of the time
  • I love that Terry just explained why Brad has been in the ring so much
  • Look how happy Rude is in the corner!
A repeat show from Worldwide "last week" but all good matches.  WCW and SMW are the highlights of 1994 6 weeks in.  ECW and WWF (minus the Rocket King) need to step up damn it!

1994-02-05 WCW Worldwide

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening....whenever it is you have found this entry.  Today, 2020-07-02, I am going back to 1994 and checking out WCW Worldwide from February 5th.  I am not sure what we shall see but lets go find out!
  • It is JOHNNY B BADD!
  • Rip Rogers; the only man that swears on twitter more than I do
  • Rogers always had a lot of facial work when working
  • I think Rogers just checked Badds oil
  • Hayes could talk...no you did not always know what he was saying...but he said it so damn good
  • Single match for Roma this week
  • Kendall is weird, almost always has his knees bent, it is odd
  • Billy is a BIG boy
  • It is odd to have Hayes as a good guy, strangely I do not think it will last long
  • Ned is a big boy
  • What is up with Paynes gear?
  • That took come strength to get Tony up and over with a suplex
  • Why was Orndorff going for dropkick
  • Is Brad the best wrestler to never get a real run?
  • Rare to see Rude headbutt like Jesse said
  • Starr throws a hell of a dropkick
A decent show.  No match really stood out other than the six-man.  It shows that WCW had some great enhancement talent.  Guys that make the stars look great.  Overall nothing really worth checking out, but that is what WCW Worldwide was.  Until next time abyssinia!

1994-02-05 WCW Saturday Night

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening....whenever it is you have found this entry.  Today we are going back to 1994 and the first Saturday Night of February, the 5th.  I am not sure what is on the slate for the show but we are heading to Superbrawl and the Thunderdome.  Will we hear from Vader?  What about Flair?  Lets find out!
  • I do love the robot arm for some reason.  Makes me think of my youth probably
  • I love Bobby's suits, especially the red and blue ones
  • Tom Burton had a solid body, wonder if he would have been more successful in the territories...or was he back in the day for that matter
  • Steamboat was so smooth in the ring.  Too bad the injury and his wife kept him down
  • It does not pay to be a friend of Ric Flair's
  • I miss the old control centers with Mean Gene
  • I feel so bad for Tugboat, thought he was going to get a big push and then he literally ran into a wall
  • Do you think Mark Starr was under contract at this point or just a weekly payoff
  • Also does Starr look like Joe Piscopo or is it just me?
  • Was this the best shape Uncle Fred was in during his runs with WWF & WCW?
  • How long are both of Pretty Wonderful going to be in the ring together?
  • When was the last time you saw an atomic drop?
  • It does look like Fred has a halter top on!
  • Really nice dropkick by Starr
  • The only person who does a better piledriver is Lawler
  • I hate good guy Double A
  • Tony is wrong, Regal is the BEST TV Champion
  • Prettiest spinebuster of all time!  Maybe my favorite move of all time
  • You have a Magnum PI rip off and a Barry Goldberg rip off taking on Cobra Sting and some other guy in this match
  • It is interesting that Cobra Sting was able to get several gimmicks, did he have pictures of Dusty Rhodes or Eric Bischoff
  • Tango also looked a lot like the Tiger King!
  • The exact picture of a professional wrestler, Ravishing Rick Rude
  • I honestly do not remember Taylor wresting at this point.  I remember the few 1993 WWF appearances but not WCW in 1994
  • They are very smart at making TT look strong here since they are bringing him back in as a wrestler at this point
  • I always hated Austin's WCW music, did not fit him
  • This will probably not be a great match, especially since EVAD was not a great performer
  • A hip toss from Boss?  That is different
  • At least they made it quick!
  • Is Regal the most underrated wrestler?  Well maybe his future (at this point) partner Bobby Eaton is
  • Regal makes everything look painful, which is the point!
Sorry I got sucked into that main event.  I could watch Regal all day long every day I think!  Overall a really good show.  They did a lot to advance the Flair & Vader storyline.  They set up a grudge match between Vader and Steamboat as well.  Just a really good show and it shows that from an in ring perspective WCW might have been putting out the best shows in 1994 thus far.

Classic Wrestling Review: Saturday Night 1994-01-29

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening....whenever it is you have found this entry.  Today, 2020-03-28, I am checking out the WCW after the recent Clash of the Champions.  We will see Col Parker in a chicken suit, Bagwell and Scorpio challenge for the Tag Titles and more!  Plus, and most importantly, we get the debut of Bobby Heenan!!
  • Bobby Heenan debuts and it is awesome!
  • Terry Taylor back in the ring?  That is not a bad thing
  • Look how great and smart Orndorff was, pushing the ropes into the ring
  • My version of this show is clocking in at 2 hours and 30 minutes so it is an extra-large edition of WCWSN!
  • Roma had an excellent power slam
  • Illegal is a sick bird....awesome!
  • Watts and Taylor could have been a decent team
  • I forget how great Austin was prior to his broken neck
  • The one thing that this era of WCW I do not like is that the enhancement matches started to get a little long
  • Boone was in good shape but was just a little small
  • This match was sloppy but I like that it looked like a fight
  • Pretty sure if I saw my name opposite of Vader I would run.  Rumour has it a lot of people did
  • Nelson could have hurt himself there, as he did not go up correctly
  • I love the Harlem Heat music!
  • Dustin was easily an MVP in 1994
  • The fans are digging this match
  • I like how much the Equalizer changed his look when he became Evad
  • I really REALLY miss the Brain
  • It is interesting that Stevie Ray is the one taking the beating
  • SPINARONI but it did not make sense
  • This match is really taking too long.  If they cannot beat these guys quickly how long will it take in Thunderdome?  A week?
  • I wish we could have seen a Dustin Rhodes vs. Booker T feud in their primes!
  • I had a birthday during that match, good grief it was long.  Good but way too long
  • Bob Cook was a great enhancement talent
  • Jungle Jim not so much
  • The Thesz Press was just awful
  • I love that Bobby accidentally called him Big Boss Man
  • I love that this is extremely embarrassing for Col Rob
  • The fans are absolutely loving this!!
  • Two of my favourites, Eaton and Boss Man
  • Sadly they will not mention their history
  • The best punch in the history of the profession, Bobby Eaton
  • Much like the 6 man earlier, this is taking too long.  I love Bobby Eaton but he is not a top talent at this point
  • Look how Bobby took the Boss Man Slam, made it look vicious
  • Couldn't be Gordon, he is walking straight!  I love Bobby!
  • Both of these guys were underrated performers, especially Henry O. Godwinn
  • I love that Bobby is going to tell us why he left the WWF....but only on the hotline!
  • How many people in this audience were plants?  That guy in the shirt and tie seems like it
  • Missy does not look happy
  • Much better tights on Bagwell and Scorpio then at the Clash
  • Scorpio makes the Nasty look amazing on offence or defence, it is great
  • Bagwell has a great punchable face
  • How does a splash on the arm work or hurt anyone but the splashee?
  • Good grief Scorpio hit hard on the apron!
  • Notice Sags did the "tag" sound?  That is why they were a great classic team
  • Then Knobbs did it, love it!  I miss real tag team wrestling
  • Bagwell did throw a good punch back then, he got lazier it seems as he went further in his career
  • Bagwell screwed his finisher up!

A really good show with all good matches, most too long, but all good.  I know people didn't love WCW at this point storyline-wise but the performers were all good to great and many would go on to be mainstays in the WWF for some time.  I think that the main thing was the lack of pacing but overall a good show and worth checking out if you have the time...and let us be honest we all have time to kill right now!

RESULTS

  • Segment:  Sting & Dustin Rhodes & Brian Pillman

Classic Wrestling Review: 1994-01-27 Clash of the Champions

Good morning, good afternoon, Good evening....whenever it is you have found this entry.  Today, 2020-03-26, we are going back to 1994 and the end of January for the Clash of the Champions!  Ric Flair and Sting take on Vader and Rick Rude.  Plus the match I am waiting for, Dustin Rhodes takes on favorite Steven Regal.  Let us go to the ring....
  • BOB HEENAN IS HERE!  BEST DAY OF WCW EVER!!!
  • I love that Bobby comes out with his classic one-liners, I know who the Assassin is....the guy in the mask
  • I think I say this ever WCW show they are on, but why was Roma not a bigger star?  Has to be the attitude in the back right?
  • Those trunks on Scorpio & Bagwell were just awful!
  • Nick Patrick was WAY out of position there
  • Why would Orndorff go to the top?
  • Wait...that finished Roma off?  Strange finish
  • Ah there was an object in the knee pad, I missed that till the replay
  • Weird they came back right on action, no intros or anything
  • I always liked Ice Train, especially later on as MI Smooth
  • Oh man I love Austin with is Southern Accent
  • This is the match I was looking forward to!
  • I love that Sir William is out there keeping track of the time
  • I would pay to see this match today, they would be 10 times better than just about anything put on TV this week
  • I do not understand why are none of the announcers wearing masks?
  • I love that Bobby could do the serious type announcing and then talk about thumbing both eyes
  • Bobby popped Gordan twice thus far
  • This is why it was great to have Regal as TV champion.  Regal and Anderson were the best at making these matches
  • THAT IS ILLEGAL!  Closed fists
  • Regal knows what he is doing, he is keeping Rhodes off guard
  • HE HIT SIR WILLIAM!!!  THAT IS DISGUSTING!
  •  It is weird that they took Tony out of the booth for Gordan
  • MMMM, Missy Hyatt!!
  • I do love that Cactus clothesline over the top
  • Payne does look like Cousin It!
  • Not a great match, but what you expect with three of these men
  • Missy better get some shots
  • Those fans were booing Pillman winning?
  • I love that Parker could wrestle like both a wrestler or a manager, he is woefully underrated
  • What is that big hick doing getting involved?!
  • How entertaining was Austin back at this point
  • WTF?  THAT WAS A THREE COUNT!
  • This is maybe my favourite version of Vader, that 1993-1995 Vader.  The best shape and still had that killer instinct.
  • It is a shame Rick Rude got hurt in the near future of 1994, I think he could still be going otherwise
  • Were Vader's best matches in the state with Sting?
  • Name another big man that can take moves like that German like Vader did, I will wait
  • Was this the best time period of Sting?  The Sting Squadron through Hogan showing up
  • I love to hear Flair scream "Oh God" it was so perfect
  • A vicious DDT by Rude
  • Is Sting loopy here?  He seems really out of it
This was a good show with two great matches.  The two tag matches were okay.  The opening match was there and was really good when Pretty Wonderful was in charge.  Bagwell was still green and Scorpio is good at what he does.  Train and Simmons was just there and probably should not have been on TV yet.  Then you have the Regal/Rhodes match.  Like I said this could happen today and be better than most of the matches on TV.  Both of these men are top ten of all time in my opinion.  Then you had the Nastys match, which was what it was.  Exactly what you expect, sloppy and hard hitting and just the next chapter of their match match.  The chicken suit match was a storyline match but showed how great Parker was in the ring.  And the main event...man Vader was on fire and amazing.  Flair was in his prime.  Rude never looked better and Sting always stepped up with the right men in the ring with him.  Those four should have main event PPV against each other for years but we know who is coming in....brother.

RESULTS
  • Marcus Bagwell/Too Cold Scorpio def. Paul Roma/Paul Orndorff
  • Ron Simmons def. Ice Train
  • Interview:  Steve Austin (US Champion) & Col. Parker
  • Interview:  Nick Bockwinkel
  • Steven Regal (TV Champion) & Dustin Rhodes went to a Time Limit Draw for the Title
  • Interview:  Aaron Neville
  • Cactus Jack/Maxx Payne def. Brian Knobbs/Jerry Sags (WCW Tag Team Champions)

Classic Wrestling: 1994-01-22 WCW Pro

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening....whenever it is you found this entry.  Today, 2020/06/20, I am going back in time and catch up with the January 22nd WCW Pro which is new to my collection so it is a little out of order.  Let's go to the ring!

  • Larry and Gordan as hour hosts here, nice
  • I wonder if the Original Sheik sued this Sheik
  • The Sheik is an ugly man!  Looks like a serial killer
  • How great are Regal and Dundee
  • I do not know why but I think Ron was a better a heel till the end as the APA
  • A young Scotty Riggs is one of the things that make me smile watching these old 94 shows because we get to see him grow
  • I miss these kinds of matches to grow talent. Now Studd would have kicked out of all those moves and it would have gone 25 minutes
  • Wow J.D. has quite the beer gut and his gear really shows it off
  • How was Scorpio not a bigger star?  He would be the man now if he came along
  • Man the fans loved this team and the ladies loved Bagwell.  Now they can buy a night with him!
  • I always found a fit guy doing a splash weird verse a big man like One Man Gang doing it.  Seems weird for Bagwell but right for Gang
  • This match is a little long in the tooth at this point.  Okay a lot long in the tooth
  • Here is one of the highlights of WCW 1994 Dustin Rhodes
  • It is weird to think that the Gambler would probably be a major star now and considered big!
  • Sadly a quick match for Dustin after that long tag match
  • How did Dustin get to the back so quickly?
  • How great were these two?  How is Pillman not in the HOF?
  • I love that finish but when was the last time you saw someone bodyslam someone back into the ring?
Another good show.  I know WCW and WWF were in their dark times at this point but I really like WCW in 1994 and WWF had good things as well.  Not much to say other than it was a fun show to watch!

RESULTS
  • Cactus Jack/Maxx Payne def. Bob Cook/The Sheik via Submission
  • Interview:  Steven Regal (TV Champion) & Sir William
  • Ron Simmons def. Scott Studd

Classic Wrestling: 1994-01-15 WCW Saturday Night

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening...whenever it is you have found this entry.  Today I am checking out the January 15th 1994 edition of WCW Saturday Night.  I believe we will see Steve Austin against Brian Pillman tonight if I remember correctly.  Beyond that, we are still building Ric Flair and Vader in rematches so it should be a good show.  Enough of my "talking" and let us get to the show!

  • I do not know why but I love this "building" of a wrestler entrance for a wrestling show
  • Wait, Erik Watts is a rising star for over two years now?
  • Jesse Ventura was still doing WCWSN at this point?
  • They are in the wrong corners!  It is weird
  • That was weird, Orndorff had no idea that Scorpio is going for a drop-down because of how high he jumped
  • Orndorff just used Austin's finisher, it was a weird time in WCW
  • I recently found out that Roma is the head trainer of a wrestling school.  Re-watching these matches makes me think he would be a hell of a trainer.
  • I wonder if they sweetened the crowd noise because the fans are really into this tag match
  • Looked like Orndorff should have been knocked off the apron.
  • The future Scotty Riggs in the enhancement role again.  It would be another year or so before he became an American Male
  • I always thought Ron was better as a heel.  I think it is that angry look he has
  • While it is easy to relate to Simmons story, growing up and whatnot, it is hard to relate to being such an amazing athlete.  Some people will resent that
  • Good grief Ron Simmons music was AWFUL!
  • Strangely I always enjoyed Ice Train.  I am actually surprised WWE never picked him up because of his size and charisma
  • Not the best sell job by the Train but I still like him!
  • The only bad thing about Rhodes at this point in his career was his hair, it was horrible!
  • How did WCW get away with using the Sheik name I wonder
  • Bob Cook is bigger than I remember, he is as big as Cactus
  • I wonder why and who thought Cactus and Maxx was a good team.  Probably their Similar brawling style
  • Mick was not quite the master on the mic yet at this point was he
  • It is too bad that Erik had the Watts name because he was not bad in the ring but never stood a chance with his dads name, kind of like David Flair
  • Here comes my favourite of all time!  Every wrestler should study this man to see the master do it.  How is he not in the Hall of Fame?
  • I do not know if it is Watts is a good performer or Regal could have a good match with anyone
  • I love that Watts is focused on the STF, makes perfect sense
  • I love the European Uppercut
  • It is the subtle things that Regal does, like trying to get his arms up when Watts was coming off the top
  • Its JBB vs. PIG....well the future PIG when he becomes a Godwinn
  • Both of these guys are underrated I think.  Dennis Knight got stuck with that naked Mideon gimmick and will always be remembered for that most likely
  • JBB needs himself a tag team partner
  • NO NOT THE MASK!  Shanghai is too ugly to show the face!
  • Austin's knee is hurt and that scumbag Pillman will not let him back up!
  • Why would Pillman yell out the move and then go to the floor?
  • WHERE IS THE REF?!?!
  • Did the ref forget how to count to 10?
  • What is up with the very unsmooth camera work?
  • It is so weird and smart that Jesse constantly brings up other sports personalities
  • This is actually a slower match than I would have thought but makes sense that Austin would want to slow things down
  • DEAR LORD DID YOU HEAR THAT CHOP!
  • Uggg, Johnny B. Badd's theme music is stuck in my head
Very good show.  I cannot really say anything bad about the show at all.  This is what WCW was good at, a very good solid show.  They did not have the HUGE star power that WWF had over the years but in the ring they were almost always better.  Good solid show worth checking out especially if you like Regal or Badd as both of them had great outtings.

RESULTS
  • Marcus Bagwell/Too Cold Scorpio def. Paul Roma/Paul Orndorff
  • Segment:  Brian Pillman
  • Ron Simmons def. Scott Studd

  • Dustin Rhodes def. The Gambler
  • Cactus Jack/Maxx Payne def. Bob Cook/The Sheik via Submission

  • Steven Regal (TV Champion) def. Erik Watts for the Title
  • Johnny B. Badd def. Tex Slazenger

Classic Wrestling Review: 1994-01-15 Power Hour

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening...whenever it is you have found this blog.  Today we are once again going back to 1994 and checking out the Power Hour from January 15th.  Not sure what is on the show so not a big intro so lets get right to it!

  • Terry Taylor on commentary?  Nice!  I like him on the stick for some reason
  • I would FEAR Vader for sure
  • Dear lord Walby should RUN to quote Bray Wyatt
  • Nasty Boys on the way.  I think this was the best version of them!
  • OH MY GOD IT IS MISSY HYATT!!!
  • Did Road Dogg get that weird ass tattoo removed or just never noticed
  • Brian has been doing well?  Really Tony?  Really?
  • Knobbs was always kind of sloppy, wasn't he?  But he looked real
  • Wait, was the LOD with WCW at this point?  I did not think so
  • I cannot wait to see Badd against Regal, two great bright points of WCW at this point
  • If there was only one wrestler I would watch for the rest of my life I think it would be Regal.  I think the most underrated performer ever
  • Notice how realistic this is.  If I was AEW I would pay Regal ANY amount of money to come in and show how to make it seem like a real fight and not a routine
  • Notice that Sir William does such subtle things yet the fans HATE him
  • Badd is underrated too.  Most people think he was a little Richard rip off and he was kind of but in the ring he was very smooth and his matches were usually very well done.
  • Huh, that was a strange finish
  • Wait...they are just cutting the post-match stuff for a Pillman segment?  Weird!
  • I know I just said I would pick Regal for the one guy to watch but Dustin Rhodes is a very close second...minus probably that TNA run
  • I love that the enhancement talents had different looks in WCW at times and not just a dude in trunks
  • I cannot wait till I get to the Clash with Regal against Dustin, that should be a hell of a match
  • Two Hall of Famers here, and great performers.  A shame both careers were cut short
  • WCW fans sure did love Sting.  Too bad WWE did not do him right
  • Wow Mean Gene looks weird here....but remember call that hotline anyway!
  • How bad was the Cactus Jack song from Slam Jam?
  • Strangely slow kind of boring match here.  Nothing bad but not what I expected from these two teams
  • I think this is why because it was going to be a screw job finish
  • Good grief that looked like a rough double DDT!
An okay show with a disappointing main event.  I would have probably had the Regal screw job at the end because it was more expected so he would keep the title.  The main event seemed rushed for some reason.  The rest of the show was good but anytime you have Regal and Rhodes on a show it is going to be good, be it 1990 or 2020!

Classic Wrestling Review: 1994-01-09 Main Event

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening....whenever it is you have found this post.  Today I am going to try what I did a year ago and watch wrestling from 1994!  That is right back for the first week or so of shows in the archives but I am picking up where I left over, with the main event from Jan 9th.  I have no idea what is going to be on the show or who is hosting or anything so no preview today just jump into 1994 WCW...maybe my favourite time in WCW!

  • It is Tony and Larry as the hosts
  • Shockmaster, the Cole Twins, Pretty Wonderful and others today
  • For being as big as he was, Shockmaster was in pretty good shape at this point
  • However, that weird Bearhug slam thing was a horrible finisher
  • Larry is an extremely underrated announcer I think
  • This copy of the show has commercials...and they were not better back in the day!
  • See 1994 Missy Hyatt makes me wonder who would hotter in their prime, Missy or Sunny
  • Its Road Dogg and Scotty Riggs!
  • 1994 was awesome for tag teams in WCW and this team, and I mean the Pauls, were a foundation
  • What in the blue hell is Road Dogg wearing?
  • It was a weird thing to have the Assassin as the manager beyond when Orndorff was feuding with Rhodes
  • The assassin needed a bigger mask!
  • Good grief aside from Orndorff none of those guys can talk!
  • Awesome, figure skating was on after this back in 1994
  • I loved the game genie, make things SO much easier to cheat
  • I love the Godwinns/Tex Slazenger & Shanghai Pierce
  • I also thought Shanghai was a very underrated performer.  Surprised he never got a singles title run over the years
  • I think if Shanghai came along now he would be in a top spot like Baron Corbin
  • Is Zenk one of the biggest underperformers in modern wrestling?
  • My first time watching Bryant Anderson, he had a good look
  • SUPERKICK!  Obviously, the Z-Man would be a star in AEW
  • I will say Zenk was not a horrible promo, when it was kept short
  • This was as Steve Austin started to find that "attitude"
  • It is also weird to think in about a year Austin was gone from WCW I believe
  • STUN GUN!  I loved that move, I feel like Austin should have used that more in his WWF run
A good show with some good action on it.  As I said above I loved this time in WCW especially their tag teams.  Saw several of them on this show but throw in the Nasty Boys and Harlem Heat and you had one hell of a tag team division!  Then you have the singles division with Rude, Rhodes, Austin, Vader, Sting, Flair, Pillman and Arn along with others at the top and middle of the card I love this time in WCW!  The next classic review will be of the Jan 10th episode of Raw so stay tuned!  Until next time, this is the fat man himself saying....Abyssinia!
