Good morning, good afternoon, good evening....whenever it is that you have found this entry.  Today, 2021-01-27.  I am going back to 1994 and the end of February.  We are in Wrestlemania season so I expect to see something from Yoko or Luger or Bret and/or Owen.  I am really enjoying WWF 1994 honestly thus far so I am ready to rumble...as it were!

• What is this?  Really?  A Godzilla-esc video for Yokozuna?  Yeah, it is Unbelievable.  
• the Vic thing still makes me laugh
• Dear Lord, how long are you going to take to announce him?
• I think we will see the Black Phantom pull off the upset....well not really
• When was Danny Davis reinstated as an official?
• Did not see Razor do the chokeslam a lot in the WWF as a babyface
• Why is Flexy Lexy look at the camera instead of Corny and company?
• You would be wrong Gorilla, no one can beat Yoko fairly!
• Owen has yet to peak!  He will peak when he beats you at Mania!
• Seriously...Oscar just rapped that promo?  I did not like it!
• Every time we have seen this John Paul he has got some good offense in
• I don't like spicy food, awesome there Vic
• A couple of weird cuts in this match, like it skipped a few seconds but commentary did not
• I love the flying knee, such a great looking move
• I always hated those sunglasses Shawn wore at this point
• Weird to see the cameramen in a WWF shot
• It is weird that IRS never really showed the personality he as in WCW
• You cannot really ever say Bret phoned it in
• Owen is out there to make sure that Bret does not fake an injury leading into Wrestlemania to use it as an excuse
• It is weird to see Bill Alphonzo as a ref...daddy!
• I cannot count on one hand the number of times I have seen someone dodge the elbow to the chest by Bret
• It is weird that they used Mr. Pefect for that ad since I do not think he was with the company at this point
• POLO IS A RAP STAR!!!
• Fat sisters panties?  Named after his Aunty?  AWESOME!

It is weird how quick those 1 hour shows go compared to an hour of most modern wrestling.  I am really enjoying the WWF at this point.  Bret and Owen were great.  I forgot how great Johnny Polo was in this role as well.  Overall a fun show but nothing really worth going out of your way to see but that was rare on the syndicated shows.  Until next time....Abyssinia!!

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening....whenever it is you have found this post.  We are going back to 1994 today and February 7th.  We are slowly moving to Wrestlemania 10!  We know we have Hart vs. Hart and Lex vs. Yoko and Hart vs. the winner of that match.  Will we find out more tonight?  I say we go find out!

• The look on Vince's face talking to Booger is great
• Also Horowitz in action, this is great
• Coach Billy needs to grow that mustache back!

• Pro Wrestling Tees need to make a Boogermania shirt!  I would buy one!
• A Ted Turner reference and a Jane Fonda.  
• That is some good looking pizza!
• I miss IRS in the ring
• Justifiably stole a man's property, Vince?  YOU ARE DELUSIONAL!
• The ref should be fired!
• That was always a great jump by that Jannetty did into the post
• If you were a fan of Razor in this time frame you did that hairstyle with a strand on your forehead
• They are really burying the tag champs!

• I know he was known as a jerk but I liked him in the ring

The in-ring action was really good minus the last match.  Unknown Thornberg was not ready for Prime Time....or Raw....see what I did there.  Nevermind!  I enjoyed Vince and Booger on the mic.  This might have been one of Shaw's last showings on WWF TV sadly.  Overall a fine show.  Nothing outstanding but very well done in my opinion.

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening...whenever it is you have found me.  Today I am going to LIVE blog this week's episode of Raw.  This is one of the first times I have done this as I often watch days or weeks or years (there is a lot of wrestling out there and only so much time).

• This is the worst theme song for Raw ever, I usually skip it when I watch
• Thankfully Drew did not have a major case of COVID
• Was anyone asking for Drew vs. Goldberg?
• They need to turn off the fake crowd noise it is overpowering
• Well that will kill any heat Miz and Morrison had, totally believe they could win Sunday if they cash in
• Was Goldberg blown up walking to the back?
• Is Charlie the best interviewer in the business now?  I think so
• So is no one going to mention that Lacey and Ric are married
• That is one of Ric's robes?
• Charlotte looks nothing like she used to in the face and it is sad
• Do you think Nia hurt someone yet?
• Rose and Brooke are the calvary?  
• I smell a six woman tag!
• I have always loved Dana, wonder if they will bring up the Charlotte Dana history
• This has 5 really good performers and Nia Jax in it
• Well that was pointless with the cartwheels
• They did mention the history!
• That was a stiff kick!
• Could Lacey's trunks get any tighter?
• How is Temptation Island a thing?
• Wait?  They are restarting it?  Good grief because we need more of this match

• Really good showing for all men
• I do not like this angle at all, nope, feels too real
• Have they ever said that R-Truth is wrestling in gear like his boyhood idol John Cena
• STYLES IS ELIMINATED!  Oh wait not quite the rumble
• A fun match there between two vets!
• Why is there Thunder in the....Thunderdome....nevermind
• That hour was much better than the first
• Some weird verbiage but I like this promo by Orton
• I really like the crazy Bliss
• Uggg, we go from Alexa Bliss to Riddle?  Why?
• Smart by Riddle to go for the quick knee
• Damn, how strong is Shelton?!
• Thought he was going for the Olympic slam there
• Look at the strength by Shelton!
• Cedric was trying to help!
• Cedric has this, he can take out the Original Bro!
• How smooth is Cedric?  
• I love MVP on the outside

• All wrestlers today need to watch this interview.  Edge is real here!
• I really have no idea who is going to win the Rumble this year.  There are so many options
• Remember when Elias was one of the hottest stars in WWE, yeah me too, and I miss it
• I do love Alexa Bliss in any incarnation!
• Can the ring announcer get worse hair?
• Is that ref of legal age to work?  He looks to be 12!

• Well, this is creepy!
• I am digging the facial work by these two

• This is so strange and odd and I am loving it strangely enough
• Obviously when the fans are back they cannot do this but until then!
• RKO!!!  MY GOD!

If you eliminate that first hour it was a good show.  I really liked this as it picked up.  The Edge promo was exactly what promos should be.  It WAS AMAZING!  I love the Bliss stuff and the end with Orton hitting the RKO on Bliss was perfect and a great ending.  Overall a good show.

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening...whenever it is you have found this entry.  Today, 2021-01-25, I am checking out the latest OVW show from 2021-01-24.  I have not been following OVW closely, I do know that Brian Pillman Jr. gave up the title recently and that is about it.  Working hard to try and stay more up to date with wrestling shows and this is the start for OVW!

• I love the OVW belt
• I do not love their intro music however
• We cannot hear the crowd there buddy
• What is Addams wearing?  Are those ripped up pants into a kilt?
• is the RUSH Title for Cruiserweights?  All of these guys are of that ilk it appears
• Star Rider and Gustavo showing a lot of cooperation unfortunately
• KTD is a former MMA fighter?
• These spots should be banned!  Stupid when a spot takes 30 seconds to set up
• Wait...a four-way that can end in a draw?  That is new
• The announcers need to enunciate better at times
• What the hell happened to Ashcraft?
• The audio is bad on this 
• The audio mix is bad on this 
• This is some indy level stuff here
• Seriously this is bad; send down someone to beat up all three of these people!
• I am embarrassed to have watched this
• This is the worst segment I have ever seen on a wrestling program, and that is 30 years of watching
• This is an okay match but honestly, nothing is capturing me 
• The one twin is too small to take seriously
• Why is this interview so dark?  Did they not pay the power bill?
• OVW is an indy there Omar
• What is with the yelling and noise in the background of that interview?
• Honestly, none of these guys scream wrestler to me thus far aside from Jessie Godder
• They do the moves but they look like people playing wrestler not guys who are wrestlers
• OVW is doing PPV?
• Dear Lord, what is with the chain Ashcraft has?  Hide it sunshine
• How are those punches legal?  
• This is sloppy
• How has it not been a 10 count?  So no rules in OVW
• That was ugly, looked like they broke Lutz neck!
• Lutz is not selling this beating he has been taking 
• That should be a double knockout the way Zaya hit the mat face-first too
• 
  

I did not like this show.  The main event was just a video game match with no rhyme or reason and random selling of the beating.  The first two matches had guys that were small and skinny.  I liked Shera however.  I liked Hatton and Jackson but most of these guys, while working hard, just did not keep me captivated.  Overall not an enjoyable episode.  Until next time, Abyssinia!

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening...whenever it is you have found this entry.  Today, 2021-01-16, I am checking out yesterdays Smackdown.  We are building towards the Royal Rumble.  Will Adam Pearce sign the contract to wrestler Reigns?  What will happen with Shinsuke?  I do not know so I think we should go find out!

• How great has Reigns become?  He should have been a heel years ago
• Uggg, Jey is going to talk.  He has go away heat with me and always has
•  Good grief turn down the fake noise!
• Good grief does Jey have fake gold teeth?
• Seriously can someone just knock this guy out!
• His bottom lip sticks out now because of those stupid fake teeth
• Are they called a grill?
• Oh my god I do not know if I can do this show with that take noise
• I might be because it is Uso but I am digging Nakamura tonight

I really liked this show!  It moved fast, storylines were well done and nothing really stupid....well besides Ding Dong Hello.  However, there is one thing that I do not get.  If it is a last man standing match for the title why would Pearce not keep the match and have Owens with him and PEARCE win the title!  That is what I would do especially if I was Pearce and waiting a lifetime for that chance!

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening....whenever it is you have found this entry.  Today, we are going back, once again, to 1994.  This time it is for WWF Wrestling Challenge.  We are just after the Royal Rumble and on the road to WRESTLEMANIA!  Enough talk let us go to the ring!

• Love that we start with Owen!  WHOO!
• What?  Gorilla you are insane!  OWEN IS THE BEST!
• Never noticed they use the Superstars graphics,...wonder if this was supposed to air on that show
• I HATE DINK!
• I always felt like making Doink a face was a mistake.  But then again Matt was kind of insane
• Doink with an STF, surprised Ross did not call it that
• WHAT IN THE BLUE HELL ALPHONSO?  
• No wonder Bill stopped being an official and became a manager, he is awful!
• Bigelow is so underrated
• How is this not a DQ?
• Now Ross is upset that Luna is in there?  When it was Dink it was okay?
• YES!  Pull a King Kong Bundy and squash the midget!
• DAMN IT!
• I miss characters like Savage
• Brad is in trouble I think!
• You are not fooling anyone Bret, you are scared because you have held Owen down all along!
• I wonder why Adams never got a run with a title aside from the tag titles with Demolition

An okay show.  Nothing major came out of it other than the continuation of Bam Bam and Doinks feud.  I wonder if this was their way of writing Dink out of the storylines....no I know it is not because we have to have all the Dinks and Winks and Pinks at Survivor Series (oh....spoilers huh?).  Anyway, an okay show.  Nothing special but we are just getting on the road to Wrestlemania so we have time!  Until next time...Abyssinia!

2021-01-16 Championship Wrestling

 Good morning, good afternoon, good evening....whenever it is you have found this entry.  Today, 2021-01-16, I am checking out Championship Wrestling presented by Pro Shingle!  I think this is the first time I have watched this show.  I have several saved to watch but I have X amount of wrestling to watch and Y amount of time

• Dear lord, Dustin Starr does not have a forehead, he has an 8 head!  He needs to get a different hair cut quickly!
• Is James a mix between Dirty Dutch and JBL?
• Did they just do the "Should I shake his hand" bit with no one in the building?
• I do not know the announcers but so far they are subtle and I like it.  No yell or screaming
• What is up with Martenson's tights?
• Neither of these guys are body guys!
• If I was James I would probably switchgear and cover my upper body
• I am not trying to be an ass, he looks like Lex Luger compared to me, but he is on TV without his shirt on and I sit on my ass fixing computers and watching from my couch!
• Dive Dive Dive by a guy who should not be diving
• Is that Dave Brown?  Whole shit that is awesome
• Commercials....I do not want commercials on my Youtube shows!
• What is going on?  A recap before we go back to the match?

• The refs hair is distracting me
• Wait...how does the ref allow that?  Gibson cheated by throwing his own partner!

• Really solid sounding belt shot!
• Ugg the Bodega's theme is awful!

For the first time viewing, I enjoyed it.  While the people were not in the best shape they are also not full-time athletes so I understand.  I will say the Jody Sutton and Darwin match did not belong on TV.  I get that it was a comedy match but it was embarrassing and that is not meant as a knock on the guys.  They did what they were supposed to but not something that belongs on TV.  While The Bodega's gimmick is an LAX rip off they were really good and I like them.  With a little seasoning, I see them on Impact.  Overall a fun hour of wrestling!

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening....whenever it is you have found this entry.  Today, 2020-07-02, I am going back to 1994 and checking out WCW Worldwide from February 5th.  I am not sure what we shall see but lets go find out!

• It is JOHNNY B BADD!
• Rip Rogers; the only man that swears on twitter more than I do
• Rogers always had a lot of facial work when working
• I think Rogers just checked Badds oil
• Hayes could talk...no you did not always know what he was saying...but he said it so damn good
• Single match for Roma this week
• Kendall is weird, almost always has his knees bent, it is odd
• Billy is a BIG boy
• It is odd to have Hayes as a good guy, strangely I do not think it will last long
• Ned is a big boy
• What is up with Paynes gear?
• That took come strength to get Tony up and over with a suplex
• Why was Orndorff going for dropkick
• Is Brad the best wrestler to never get a real run?
• Rare to see Rude headbutt like Jesse said
• Starr throws a hell of a dropkick

A decent show.  No match really stood out other than the six-man.  It shows that WCW had some great enhancement talent.  Guys that make the stars look great.  Overall nothing really worth checking out, but that is what WCW Worldwide was.  Until next time abyssinia!

Good morning good afternoon, good evening...whenever it is you have found this entry.  Today I am checking out tonight's MLW show.  Los Parks takes on the Von Erichs and Mil Muertes debuts!  I have watched very few MLW shows only because of life not because I do not want to.  I hear good things about MLW all the time and have not been disappointed when I have watched so I am excited to watch this show!

• Off the bat I think they need a better theme song. unless this is for Los Parks....which it seems to be
• Well that announcer is kind of ugly
• Low Ki is a weird-looking cat
• Budd Heavy looks like Husky Harris!
• Wait, was that ugly announcer Rich Bocchini?  OH MY GOD IT WAS!
• I thought Lio Rush retired to become a rapper or some shit
• I hope MLW has Salina under a long term contract
• Stephen P. New is on MLW!
• Interesting look for Krugger
• Is Jr. used as an enhancement talent in every promotion but OVW?
• Interesting that they are going this long.  I would have had Mil destroy his first opponent
• He nearly crippled Pillman as he did not get him over 
• I was not impressed with Mil in Lucha Underground and I was not here.  Pillman is the more talented in-ring but sadly not getting pushed
• Good grief Jordan Oliver makes me want to slap him.  Is he a babyface and if so why?
• They just showed Low Ki's knock out again, and I realized that Budd Heavy is in as good of shape as Chris Jericho!
• Is that Chris Jericho as LA Park?  LOOK AT THAT GUT!
• LA Park is choking with the boot because he cannot do much more
• Good grief those were some ugly rollups
• Shocker that the Parks won
• Will the belt fit around Park?

First off this show went by really fast and was well done.  A lot of packages and interviews but nothing wrong with that especially with a pandemic still going.  The long-running feud with Lawlor and Von Erichs is fun to see.  Overall a fun show and worth checking out

1994-02-05 WCW Saturday Night

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening....whenever it is you have found this entry.  Today we are going back to 1994 and the first Saturday Night of February, the 5th.  I am not sure what is on the slate for the show but we are heading to Superbrawl and the Thunderdome.  Will we hear from Vader?  What about Flair?  Lets find out!

• I do love the robot arm for some reason.  Makes me think of my youth probably
• I love Bobby's suits, especially the red and blue ones
• Tom Burton had a solid body, wonder if he would have been more successful in the territories...or was he back in the day for that matter
• Steamboat was so smooth in the ring.  Too bad the injury and his wife kept him down
• It does not pay to be a friend of Ric Flair's
• I miss the old control centers with Mean Gene
• I feel so bad for Tugboat, thought he was going to get a big push and then he literally ran into a wall
• Do you think Mark Starr was under contract at this point or just a weekly payoff
• Also does Starr look like Joe Piscopo or is it just me?
• Was this the best shape Uncle Fred was in during his runs with WWF & WCW?
• How long are both of Pretty Wonderful going to be in the ring together?
• When was the last time you saw an atomic drop?
• It does look like Fred has a halter top on!
• Really nice dropkick by Starr
• The only person who does a better piledriver is Lawler
• I hate good guy Double A
• Tony is wrong, Regal is the BEST TV Champion
• Prettiest spinebuster of all time!  Maybe my favorite move of all time
• You have a Magnum PI rip off and a Barry Goldberg rip off taking on Cobra Sting and some other guy in this match
• It is interesting that Cobra Sting was able to get several gimmicks, did he have pictures of Dusty Rhodes or Eric Bischoff
• Tango also looked a lot like the Tiger King!
• The exact picture of a professional wrestler, Ravishing Rick Rude
• I honestly do not remember Taylor wresting at this point.  I remember the few 1993 WWF appearances but not WCW in 1994
• They are very smart at making TT look strong here since they are bringing him back in as a wrestler at this point
• I always hated Austin's WCW music, did not fit him
• This will probably not be a great match, especially since EVAD was not a great performer
• A hip toss from Boss?  That is different
• At least they made it quick!
• Is Regal the most underrated wrestler?  Well maybe his future (at this point) partner Bobby Eaton is
• Regal makes everything look painful, which is the point!

Sorry I got sucked into that main event.  I could watch Regal all day long every day I think!  Overall a really good show.  They did a lot to advance the Flair & Vader storyline.  They set up a grudge match between Vader and Steamboat as well.  Just a really good show and it shows that from an in ring perspective WCW might have been putting out the best shows in 1994 thus far.

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening...whenever it is you found this entry.  Today, 2021-01-02, I am checking out the latest Talking Smack.  I have not watched this before short of a few clips.  I think it is time to check it out.

• How good is Heyman?
• Kayla has no idea who Freddie Blassie is
• I think Heyman is the best in the business right now!
• Did Dolph stop dying his hair?
• Roode is looking really good
• Why is their crowd noise?
• This is actually a fun show to watch
• I think the fun is gone because a Uso is on the screen
• I think Paul needs to get that jacket tailored
• Yeah the fun is gone

Well, that was fun till Uso showed up.  I will be honest here, I have not liked the Uso from day one.  I do not get the Usos.  I will never like the Usos.  They have their spot because of their family and that is it.  So many more talented people, in my opinion, have come and gone and they keep getting chances.  Fun show but keep the Usos off because they are black holes of charisma and just bring any show I watch to a grinding halt!

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening....whenever it is you found this entry.  Today, 2021-01-02 I am checking out last nights 205 Live!  I have not kept up with this show in 2020 so I am going to try to do better this year!  Let us get to the right!

• I do not really care about Monsoor going home, since it is not a really great country.  I know they are changing but promoting the country still is not right in my opinion
• Interesting to see people in the crowd
• A decent match so far and a modified Sharpshooter but it does not let you really keep it in deep
• Nice brainbuster by Atlas!
• Interesting Indian Deathlock type pinning move
• So Ever-Rise are just a couple of morons....got it
• Decent match so far
• Vic sure is pushing this problem between the teams
• Stallion nearly killed himself with that springboard dive!
• Of course that did NOT work, when has it ever?

A good show.  Nothing special but solid for sure.  It went by very fast.  Nothing special but nothing bad.  Stallion nearly killed himself with that dive and honestly, someone needs to slow these dives down before someone gets seriously hurt!  Overall a solid show and I liked it!

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening....whenever it is you have found this entry.  Today, 2020-04-28, I am checking out the first February show of USWA.  I am sure we will see the Gilberts, PG-13 and the Lawlers all in action so lets go back in time to 1994 and check it out!

• Todd Morton is not even trying to hide he is a Rock and Roll rip off
• How did you not see the tag that time?  What were you two watching Corey and Dave?
• Morton looks a little bit like you put Chris Jericho in the dryer for too long
• Wait...if PG-13 got hit with the hubcap they should have won by DQ
• Memphis did love their music videos
• Wow, Eddie Marlin really sold Gilbert...oh wait he did not!
• Was that the worst punch King ever threw?
• Big Business Brown was the worst!
• Bert vs. Triple B?  GO GRIEF CAN THEY BOTH LOSE?
• Could Johnson be skinner?
• Big Business Brown is one of the worst interviews 
• I do miss Brian Christophers laugh!
• That is how you do a safe chair shot
• I do love these big brawls
• I love that Koko continues to wear the High Energy tights

An okay show.  I liked the brawl but it should have ended the show not still had 20 minutes to go.  My guess this is because Memphis was 90 minutes and the rest of the shows were 60 and they could cut the show there.  Just speculation on my part.  The matches were pointless this week other than the PG-13 angle.  Overall an okay show and worth watching for the Eddie and Lawler interviews and their music video.
