Good morning, good afternoon, good evening...whenever it is you have found this entry.  Today, 2021-07-03, I am checking out last nights Smackdown.  We are going into Money in the Bank.  I did see a spoiler that there is a big return on the show.  Plus, last man standing between Zayn and Owens, which they always have amazing matches!  So I think it is time to go listen to Pat McAfee and that putz Michael Cole. 

• How great is Paul Heyman?  They need to have him open the show every week
• Edge looks good!
• Edge is an excellent promo, and I feel like he believes what he is saying
• Uggg Jimmy Uso is ANNOYING!
• Jerry Lawler is there?  Oh, it is Shinsuke.
• Are they going to do the DDP I lost everything storyline from 1994?
• Barry Darsow better be in the truck, or I am going to be pissed!
• Crack in that mouth?  
• Bayley is perfect
• Excuses?  How about the truth!
• Look at Heyman, playing that moronic Uso without saying a word!
• LAST MAN STANDING!!
• What if Steve is a Sami fan?
• There was no give to that table!  Damn KO!
• These two will kill each other for our entertainment, and I worry about that sometimes.
• Why and how is KO getting back up after that?  Good grief
• I never want to see KO take that suplex on the apron again.  It is stupid stupid stupid!
• An excellent way to have KO keep going without getting to his feet after two Helluva kicks
• YOU DO NOT PULL A MAN BY HIS BEARD YOU SON OF A BITCH OWENS!
• Will we get two more Smackdown guys in the MitB?
• Zelina is back and the internet/Twitter HATES it
• Who would have thought that Liv would be the last of the Riott Squad with WWE?
• I miss Ruby
• The Liv Morgan and Nikki Cross storylines are too close in my opinion
• Seth is a good cult-like leader
• So Cesaro is going to get his victory over Seth to get into the MitB?
• A year ago Otis was one of the most over guys and now look at him.  WWE did him dirty!
• Same with the Street Profits
• Angry evil Otis I like but we needed a better reason.  Like Mandy turning on him last year during his run

That show did not feel like 90 minutes.  It was really well-paced.  Edge was fantastic and I like evil Otis!  Could have done without the lengthy multiple Uso segments but overall a fun show!

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening...whenever it is you have found this entry.  Today, 2021-01-16, I am checking out yesterdays Smackdown.  We are building towards the Royal Rumble.  Will Adam Pearce sign the contract to wrestler Reigns?  What will happen with Shinsuke?  I do not know so I think we should go find out!

• How great has Reigns become?  He should have been a heel years ago
• Uggg, Jey is going to talk.  He has go away heat with me and always has
•  Good grief turn down the fake noise!
• Good grief does Jey have fake gold teeth?
• Seriously can someone just knock this guy out!
• His bottom lip sticks out now because of those stupid fake teeth
• Are they called a grill?
• Oh my god I do not know if I can do this show with that take noise
• I might be because it is Uso but I am digging Nakamura tonight
• CESARO IS HERE!!
• Cole with a legit question but asked like an ass
• Did they ever explain what the King of Strong Style means?
• Of course Uso sat right back up, no one sells anything!
• I think Uso has been doing a little too much eating while not at the head of the table.  A bit of a gut

• Heyman mentioning Scrap Daddy, interesting only 10% or so of the audience gets that reference
• Wait, Crews is going to join the Table but would not join the Hurt Business?
• The doorbell for the new Bayley's new talk show is annoying as hell

• I do not like that spot while in the lock-up but that wheelbarrow into a hotshot is awesome!
• Liv has come along so much over the last few years

• Corbin has come a long way from his days with that stringy gross hair
• Hell one of the most improved each year I think
• I love Corey trying to get Dominic to get involved!

• Who is better than Heyman?  Spoiler, the answer is NO ONE!
• Corbin has done almost everything that is why he is the KING!

• I love Otis and D-Bry's new haircut!
• This match should be amazing!
• Well you do not have to eliminate all 29 Corey
• Both of these guys are amazing
• uggg, I hate that run into the opposite corner to run at the guy.  If you are running into it and it does not hurt why would it when you are thrown into it?
• That was a horrible bump by Cesaro!  I do not know what happened there
• A punt to the arm, that is unique

• Love that series of moves stopping the rope break into the Yes Lock

I really liked this show!  It moved fast, storylines were well done and nothing really stupid....well besides Ding Dong Hello.  However, there is one thing that I do not get.  If it is a last man standing match for the title why would Pearce not keep the match and have Owens with him and PEARCE win the title!  That is what I would do especially if I was Pearce and waiting a lifetime for that chance!

2020-12-17 Main Event

 

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening....whenever it is you have found this entry.  Today, 2020-12-18, I am checking out last nights WWE Main Event.  We are going into TLC this week so I expect a big push!

• 45 time champion?  Really?  That is it?
• I liked it when they put up subtitles for Truth's rapping
• If it was not for this title would Truth still be employed?
• A bouncy castle?
• Orton and Wyatt, two of the best promos going today!
• I know I hated this version of Bray early on but I love it!  I love the crazy Bray and evil Fiend.  Everything about it 
• Bray's old rocking chair?  
• Why does Randy constantly burn all of Bray's nice things?
• Why is no one stopping Randy?  He is trying to kill a man!
• I love the use of the Mandible Claw, my second favorite hold after the Cross Face Chicken Wing
• Why did they change Lacey back to this character after the empowering women character at Mania?
• I hate and love Lacey's trunks at the same time

The Truth stuff is goofy but fun and Lacey and Nikki had an okay match.  I am honestly surprised they still do main event, my guess is the Hulu contract is good money!  Overall not worth checking out unless you like Truth, Evans or Cross!

2019-12-30 Raw review

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening....whenever it is you have found this entry.  Today I am getting way from classic wrestling and review the last Raw of the decade as it is happening!  I am not sure what we will so with very little hype lets get to the show!

• I just do not get KO as a good guy, it just does not fit!
• It is dangerous being an announcer on Raw, first Lesnar now the new Shield attacking announcers.  We need someone to stand up for the announcers!
• I am SO tired of Rey Mysterio!  The only time I will cheer for Seth is because of them!
• Here comes "security" who looks smaller then I am!
• I love Charley!  She is so good at her job
• I do not like Joe's hair but it is great that he is back in the ring!
• I have heard that Paul Heyman is behind these two, but I just do get either one of them.  Both are okay but I just do not think they are going to be the draw like the guys in the first segment
• Plus I hate Murphy's trunks!
• Now that I read what I wrote I think the problem is that we need more character from these guys.  Give them time to grow.  I need to see them in feuds and grow then I can truly say if they are "stars"
• I think my problem with Black is that his matches seem very rehearsed because of his kicks and such
• Murphy does a hell of a job selling however
• A superkick in wrestling?  That is new!
• Can Lana wear white?  
• For the record, I love the new Pokemon Go commercial 
• Also, I hate the most recent Raw theme music
• I bet Stevens wins this match!  Or Rowan kicks his stupid hair cut off his head!
• Yep, his haircut was kicked off!
• I am going to guess it is Luke Harper in that cage
• Where is James Ellsworth when we need him?
• They need to do an injury angle with Charlotte, get her off TV for 3-6 months.  As they say how can we miss you if you do not go away
• What?  She is going to be in the Royal Rumble?  I am SHOCKED!
• Is she getting paid extra for each time she says Royal Rumble?
• Yep Natayla is going to win this match....and everyone who believes that stand on their head
• Has there been a worst strut than what Charlotte does?
• Are they turning Nattie tonight?
• That spot was not good, not sure which lady was confused.  Honestly, I think it is because Nattie is a little on the short side
• Of course, it is Eric Young that gets beat up, wonder if he misses Impact
• Very few matches should go through two breaks and this is not one of them!
• Nattie needs to update her gear, it has been the same for a long time
• What is up with Liv Morgans new character?
• AJ laughing just cracked me up!
• I hate that Ford makes me laugh
• I cannot believe that ref did not believe AJ.  AJ would NOT lie damn it!  I think Dawkins tried to kick him!
• Is it wrestling law that an Anderson does a good spinebuster?
• I see Ford being a major star one day!
• Ryder and Hawkins are going to do the J-O-B in a handicap match
• Edge is mentioned on TV...proof he is coming back?
• AJ is such a jerk!
• AJ should do it, Randy would to him!
• WHAT?!  THAT IS HORRIBLE!
• No announcement of the US Champs opponent?  Really?
• I cannot tell if they are behind Ricochet or if he is a high-end enhancement talent
• Ricochet landed hard!
• Ricochet can sell like he is going to the electric chair as Ernie Ladd would say
• Why are there empty seats on the stage?
• King is right the official does look like Bill Belichick!  
• Also why no bridesmaids or groomsmen?  
• Lashley looks like Wayne Brady on the juice
• This official sounds completely retarded
• Well I am sure Lana wrote both vows
• I KNEW IT!  
• Twitter has been fantastic during this
• Really?  They have brought back the WHAT chants?

Well that was a show for sure!  The middle hour went by really fast and was good.  I know this is going to surprise people but I LOVED the wedding.  That is the kind of comedy in wrestling I like.  I am not sure if this was the spot to bring Liv back in but we shall see.  The one thing that stood out for me was that Charlotte looked tired.  I think she needs a break, hopefully after Mania for her.  Overall a good show.

2019-10-04 Smackdown Review

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening, whenever it is you have found this review.  Today I am looking at the debut edition for Smackdown on Fox!  I am not going to bore you with a huge intro lets get to it!

• Interesting set, not sure I like or hate it, it will take a few weeks
• Of course, the McMahons open the show
• I love that Vince always sounds like he has been gargling razor blades anymore
• Why Michael Cole?  I feel bad for Tom Phillips 
• Now the Raw Women's champion....on the debut of Smackdown....yeah that makes sense
• KING CORBIN....also not on the blue brand
• HE IS HERE!  ITS HIM!  THE GREAT ONE!  ROCKY!!!!
• I hated him for some long and now I miss him so much.  Sometimes you do not know what you have till you no longer have it
• I love King Corbins look, my first time seeing it
• The dumb fans cannot chant together
• I love this!  
• Four Horsewomen in action next, a good way to start the night
• Every time I see Sasha I feel like I need a penicillin shot
• I feel like we have seen these ladies too much together
• Just nothing special about this sadly because we have seen it
• Erin Andrews has no clue who these guys are
• I started off hating the Firefly Funhouse but now I love it!
• There was a time people cared about Shinsuke right?  
• I love the Fiend and Wyatt both!
• They are throwing everything at the wall here for the first Smackdown on Fox 
• For no real training, Shane has always been good
• I hope Owens loses and comes back as Mr. Canada or the Midnight Rider
• AS GOD IS MY WITNESS SHANE IS BROKEN IN HALF!
• Seriously why would he do that!
• Seriously why is Shane on his feet after that?  That should have been the end of Shane on WWE TV for months
• Paul Heyman is the Hitchcock of WWE directing horror movies that is star Brock Lesnar!
• Why should I care about Braun Strowman?  
• And what is Braun wearing?
• How great is Otis?  So entertaining
• Who is Tyson Fury?  Should I care?
• I like Rowen and it is nice to see him finally get a chance
• I love the chaos of lumberjack matches!
• Needed a bigger brawl for me
• Well I guess that ends the Kofi experiment
• What the hell?  Rey Mysterio really?
• I guess I do not know my MMA well enough to know who Cain Velasquez is

That was a very good show.  I am not sure I like Kofi losing in 10 or so seconds but lets see where it goes before I hate on it.  This was, hopefully, chapter one, of this story.  Also interesting to see Cain Velasquez enter the fray as it were.  Where this goes will be interesting.

I hated to see Randy Orton, Miz and AJ Styles put into a pointless 8 man tag.  Should have been Strowman vs. Cesaro or someone to get to the Fury and Strowman staredown.

Overall nothing horrible but there was the bad 8 man, not because of the people, but because of the use of those people.  Also seeing people like the Viking Experience no-sold during the Lumberjack Match sucked.  Little things that WWE will say no one noticed does get noticed.  

Very good first show on Fox but like I said about AEW it is not about one show but 10 and 20 and 50 to keep me, and the fans, happy.
