Movie Review: Snake outta Compton

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening...whenever it is you have come across this entry.  Today, 4/28/18, I am checking out the obvious classic Snake Outta Compton.  It stars Ricky Flowers Jr., Motown Maurice and Donte Essien.  "A rap group on the verge of signing their first record deal is the city's only hope in a battle with a giant mutating snake monster."  How can this movie be bad!  According to IMDB it has a 3.3 rating...I highly DOUBT it deserves that.

• Snakes falling from a plane?...I'm sorry Motherfucking Snake falling from a Motherfucking Plane
• Really a Training day joke?  When you have to saying "training day" you probably shouldn't do the joke
• Did that snake just burrow into his hand?
• Is that a midget?  Nope just looks like a midget I guess
• Of course he has a "growth ray"
• So that white guy showed up at that party with a cat in the hat hat?  Really?
• Better CGI than Birdemic
• Why does the weird redheaded girl have fake teeth?
• That is compound interest bitch
• That guy just shoved an entire Twinkie in his mouth!

• Watching people play video games on YouTube, that is what kids do!
• Good god who wrote this thing?

I have no idea what I just watched.  Its been 17 years and they were mocking Training Day.  Really?  I mean there are people who won't even know that flick and yet it was an important part of the flick flick.  Overall I give this flick a 2/10...and only because of the Training Day part.  The guy who did Denzel's part was actually kind of funny and entertaining.  Aside from that this was not good or fun.  It was just odd and slightly uncomfortable at times.  I will not recommend this flick boys and girls.  Until next time...Abyssinia!

Movie Review: Infinity Wars (warning spoilers)

It finally arrived...well he finally arrived!

And he didn't disappoint at all!

From here on out assume that everything I say is a spoiler.  Do NOT read on if you have not seen the flick...you have been warned

Okay where to begin with this movie.  I'll start with saying that there has not been a better Spider Man on the screen that I have seen.  The scene at the end where he is saying he doesn't want to go...as heart wrenching as #10 saying it.  Wonderfully done young man!

The start of the flick was shocking to say the least.  I wasn't expecting the removal of one of the major fan favorites like that, but honestly Loki has probably lasted longer then needed.  However it set the tone for the flick which was needed.  Too often in these flicks you don't feel your favorites are in danger because they're the heroes.  You actually felt like the heroes were in danger....and they are!

I would like to say there is something bad about the flick but I can't really pick anything.  Maybe the pacing a slight bit but even that I can't truly say.  At no point did I think this needs to move on.

The amount of screen time that Dr. Strange got was even an okay thing as his character worked much better in an assemble cast like this then it did one its own.  While I did NOT like his stand alone flick he was good here, especially playing off Spidey and Iron Man.

The inclusion of the Guardians was done perfectly.  Star Lord and Drax and....well all of them didn't seem overshadowed by the other characters which could have happened very easily given the star power and screen time the others have had over the last ten years.

Have I said how heart wrenching the final Spider Man scene was?  Seriously!

It was nice to see Agent Hill and Fury at the end as well.  I would have liked to see Coulson and the Agents of SHIELD referenced or even better show up but that is just me wanting to tie things together even more and I really REALLY like the Coulson character.

I liked that they continued to have Thor be funny but show a "human" side in his scene with Rocket.  It is rare for me to feel for a superhero, or in this case a god, in a flick but you felt for him.  Having his eye back I didn't like however, I thought the eyepatch was a good look for Thor.

Seriously how great is Tom Holland?

Oh here is a question for you all, if Thanos can turn back time and bring Vision back from the dead why not do it for Gamora since he, seemingly, truly loved her?

It is interesting that we are basically back to the original Avengers cast now plus Ant-Man (we assume since his movie is next) minus Loki and Fury.  The GotG cast is gone, Spidey, Black Panther and Falcon are all gone.  Well we still have Capt. Rocket so we have that going for us though!

Another surprise to me is that Hawkeye is not in this flick AT ALL.  I guess when I ran to the restroom they reference him and Ant-Man but still could have had a shot of them in there (and maybe they did and I missed it but it doesn't sound like it).  The directors have said there is a reason for this but still kind of weird.  Ant-Man I'm okay with, even though I really liked his character, but Hawkeye is an OG brother!

Oh...how good was Brolin as Thanos?  I love a bad guy that isn't maniacal sometimes.  I mean the crazy lets destroy the Earth bad guy is fun and all but Thanos isn't that.  Thanos truly believes what he is doing is the right thing...and part of him is right.  Much like a plant, sometimes you need to trim things back.  You can't allow things to grow out of control like life has in the galaxy/universe.  I guess I would be a servant of Thanos in that I kind of agree with him....and like most cowards I'm going to go with whatever might keep me alive!

Overall I would give this flick a rare 10/10.  Seriously wonderful and so well done.  The folks at Marvel Studios continue to one up themselves each time they release a film to the point where there is going to be a huge disappointment at some point because of it.

Movie Review: Cars 3

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening...whenever it is you have found this entry.  Today, 12/30/17, I am checking out Cars 3.  It stars Owen Wilson, Cristela Alonzo and Chris Cooper.             "Lightning McQueen sets out to prove to a new generation of racers that he's still the best race car in the world."  As of today it has it has a 6.9 with 34,244 votes.

• So their tired are their legs and arms right?  So in a pit stop they are literally swapping out their legs and arms for new ones!
• and the race is basically a foot race right?
• I think Jackson Storm is based on the Go-Bot Crasher!

• They are basically talking about analytics right?
• I like that they use real sports people in the flick
• I hope I did not need to see the 2nd one to understand the complex plot!
• So Lightnings crash is like...um....how does this fit into human foot racing?  I think I am thinking too much about this flick
• I forgot how flat some pixar voice acting is since they use actors not voice actors
• How is "On the horn" funny?
• Remember when Pixar flicks were always good?  Then Cars and Finding Dory came out...is that wrong?
• Its the guys from Car Talk...that makes me sad
• Is...that Capt. Hammer?

• So...the car wrap...is that like melting plastic to our skin?  Again I might be overthinking this whole car=humans thing
• So is this a Rocky thing?
• I would punch a person like Cruise/Cruz

• Is Ric Flair going to show up?
• This reminds me of the Junkyard scene in the Brave Little Toaster
• Now I want to watch the Brave Little Toaster
• I'm confused, Lightning was the last car standing...till the bus stood up
• Confidence is EVERYTHING my friends, fake it till you make it!
• Ugg, how do you make an animated flick boring?  
• Jesus there is still 30 minutes of this movie?
• So cars are humans AND cows?  Weird
• I feel like this should be based on what the sports people say about LeBron...every season
• Ugg, just once I'd like to see a movie like this end with the "underdog" NOT winning

5.0 is my rating.  I really do not know what to say about this flick.  It was...well it was boring.  I mean really boring in my opinion.  

The jokes were flat, the voice acting was often flat...in short the flick was just there for me.  I did not really care for the first, skipped the second and should have skipped this one.  I guess if you REALLY like Pixar you should check it out but if you want a good Pixar flick there are better ones out there!

Movie Review: Edge of Tomorrow

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening...whenever it is you have come across this entry.  Today, 4/21/18, I am re-watching the 2014 Edge of Tomorrow.  It stars Emily Blunt, Tom Cruise and Bill Paxton.  "A soldier fighting aliens gets to relive the same day over and over again, the day restarting every time he dies."  Groundhogs Day meets Starship Troopers!  It currently has a 7.9 on IMDB.

• I forgot that Brendan Gleeson was in this flick!
• This has a very Starship Troopers feel at the beginning
• I forgot how old Cruise looked in this flick
• Yeah...blackmail probably is NOT the best approach "Major"
• Is that Tony Todd?  He is not credited but it sure looked and sounded like him
• Bill Paxton is SO good in this flick...and it is sad to think he is not around any more
• As I mentioned before, a mix between Groundhogs Day, Starship Troopers and The Matrix
• Its interesting that Cruise is SO bad in this flick when usually he is good at everything he does
• Jackson from Legends of Tomorrow?  Too bad he can't turn into Firstorm without Gray
• Why would they do PT without the suites?
• Needs to work on timing of the roll there Tommy Boy
• This is such an interesting idea, a hive mind that sends out bad guys that fits its enemy, love it
• Love that he reverts to multimedia guy as quickly as he can
• I forgot this was funny as well as smartly written
• I'll be honest, the ability to redo your mistakes after dying is a superpower I wouldn't mind having
• The trailer was not really dead weight
• That is the problem isn't it?  You cannot stop caring for people and you would have to watch them die each and every time...one draw back to the power if you cannot save the person you love
• This movie is strangely captivating and I keep finding myself lost watching the flick instead of writing witty comments
• I forgot this movie drags at certain points when Cruise is NOT dying 
• I still think that Emily Blunt is not amazonian enough for this role
• Its a good thing Cruise is a REALLY good swimmer

Overall the flick is a fun flick.  I think the 7.9 is a little high though.  I give it a 7/10.  Very enjoyable and enjoyable enough that I picked up the DVD at Wal-Mart.  The designs and CGI were both fantastic and while the monsters resemble those in the Matrix upon rewatching it is not nearly as bad as I thought when I first saw the flick.

Say what you want about Tom Cruise but he is a pretty good actor.  He does a good job in most if not all of the roles that he takes on.  At the same time you can look at Emily Blunt and say she has been in just about every genre of film and has done a good job on all of those really.  

I will say that I do not think that Emily was correct for the role she was fantastic in it if that makes sense.  Much like Gal Godot as Wonder Woman, not my pick but very good in the role.

Honestly I cannot really think of anything bad about the film.  I would have liked to have more time with the squad and less time with the love story but that is normal anymore.

Again overall I say 7/10.  Worth checking out if you enjoy sci-fi or action flicks.  Oh and when you throw Brendan Gleeson in a film you know it is going to be good!

Those two paragraphs are directly from MSN.  She went on to taunt that she had tenure and will never be fired.  

I wouldn't be so sure there "Professor".  The President of the university, Fresno State, went on to say "A professor with tenure does not have blanket protection to say and what they wish.  We are all held accountable for our actions."

If you agree or disagree with the things that were done during both of the Bush Presidencies, what Mrs. Bush has said you do not go out and say these things, in my humble opinion...and since this is my blog that is what counts!

As I type this I am in tears. Why? Because of a young girl in Michigan. If you've gone to my podcast you know I was angry yesterday after finding out about a young girl with Huntington Disease was mocked and bullied by her neighbors. This 7 year wasn't bullied by kids but by their parents. People my age. I joined a facebook page supporting her and looking at the pictures and she always looks so happy and for this assholes to mock this girl makes me sick. I am not a violent person but I swear to god if anyone ever deserved to get a old school ass kicking its Scott and Jennifer Petkov. I won't go crazy here as I did it on my podcast already. But if there is a God, and shit like this continues to make me believe there isn't, then Scott and Jennifer have a world of hurt coming to them. I don't wish ill on people normally but if I find out that someone hurt these two people I won't shed a tear and honestly I would buy the people who did it a beer...hell probably two. 

This young girl was handed a life sentence and these people mock her because their kids didn't get invited to her birthday party...well there is probably a reason. 

This story just put one more nail in my coffin as far as my belief that there is good out there.

My opinion she should be in jail for contempt and fined ten times the amount it costs the tax payer everyday she is in there. Enough of this bullshit discrimination. Rowan County Clerk Kim Davis you're the newest member of my Tool List you....well tool.  This woman has been told several times to issue marriage licenses and refused to do it.  Courts have ordered her to do her JOB, the JOB she was hired for yet she still doesn't.  She is in contempt of the courts yet she still walks free. 

My opinion she should be in jail for contempt and fined ten times the amount it costs the tax payer everyday she is in there. Enough of this bullshit discrimination. It wouldn't fly it someone was doing it against Christians or African Americans. She should be ashamed of herself and all Christians should be ashamed of her and her bigotry.

She had a "rally" over the weekend where thousands of people supported her.  I assume they had their white sheets in the laundry that day!  I look at people like this woman and her supporters as nothing more then bigots.  I have no use for ANYONE who denies people their legal rights or discriminates against people.

Movie Review: Get Shorty

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening...whenever it is you have come across this flick.  Today, 12/05/17, I am checking out the 1995 flick Get Shorty.  It stars Gene Hackman, Rene Russo and Danny DeVito.  "A mobster travels to Hollywood to collect a debt and discovers that the movie business is much the same as his current job."  I decided to re-watch this flick after watching the new TV series.  It currently has a rating of 6.9 with 66,798 votes.  

• Man I wish I had the Italian look to constantly be in gangster flicks!
• This is when I really started like Travolta
• That is how I want go....in a cool hat and jacket!
• Danny DeVito produced this flick?
• Interesting writing this flick
• I forgot this flick has such a great cast of "bit" players and stars
• James Gandolfini looks weird with a ponytail!
• Look how young DeVito is!
• DAMN!  Dennis Farina is HARDCORE
• And how great is Dennis Farina!
• I just realized I am not saying much because I am watching this flick; it really is engrossing
• Travolta is very close to the same character in every flick isn't he
• Travolta is constantly smoking in this flick, it is weird to see
• That is a horrible park job there Travolta
• Seriously DeVito looks so young!
• Bette Midler?
• This plot sure wouldn't work in this day and age!
• Miguel Sandoval is another great actor in this flick
• How did he get the gun on a plane?  
• A lot of talk about "smelling" by DeVito's character
• Gandolfini's beard is great in this flick
• That is an awesome salmon jacket Farina wears; I should get one!

That is a fun flick.  Not a lot to say about it really.  Kind of weird writing; almost done in sound bites but fun.  It shows how when you have a good/great cast that a movie is just fun.  It really sucks you into. 

Overall I think the IMDB rating has it about right with 7/10.  Average flick with an above average cast.  

Movie Review: Rampage

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening...whenever it is that you have come across todays entry.  Today, I'm looking at the latest video game turned movie Rampage.  It stars Rocky (Dwayne Johnson but I will always think of him as Rocky), Naomie Harris, Malin Akerman and Jeffrey Dean Morgan.  "When three different animals become infected with a dangerous pathogen, a primatologist and a geneticist team up to stop them from destroying Chicago."

First off let me thank Rocky for releasing this on my birthday.  It was a very nice thing he did for his longtime personal friend (sorry I think I just channeled Mean Gene there).  Seriously it was nice to have a good movie to go see on my birthday.

I think I will start with the bad:

THE BAD

The biggest is the fact that the plot just coasted along and several times it felt like a poorly put together D&D game.  Suddenly people know things that are needed to move plot that is very convenient. 

I also felt that the main scientist Naomie Harris phoned in a few of her scenes.  While she was very good at times other times I felt that she flat when her emotions should not have been.  

There was one REALLY bad camera shot after Rocky jumps from the plane.  It looked like it was done with a commercial grade go pro and done at a really bad angle.  It was only probably 7-10 seconds at most but should have been cut because it looked bad and kind of took away from the scene.

THE GOOD

And that is it for the cons.  Mostly because the movie was exactly what I expected it to be.  It had a decent plot but it was exactly what I wanted to see.  Giant monsters destroying a city.  Oh and it was nice to see a city other than New York get destroyed in a film.  Chicago has had it coming for a while!

As always I felt Rocky did an excellent job.  You have to go WAY back in his career to see a bad performance from him.  Honestly what was it?  Doom?  His small role in The Mummy Returns?  However he is great in this role and he is one of those actors that I will see pretty anything he does.  

The effects were really well done.  Considering a large portion of the movie was giant monsters throwing around tanks, people and destroying buildings I cannot think of a time that I was taken out of the movie.

The Alligator/Croc was fantastic especially when they did close ups of him roaring.  I also liked the wolf flying and shooting spikes like he did.  Just another great touch to add to the storyline of genetic manipulation.  

It was also nice to see what causes the walker plague in The Walking Dead and what Negan did before it hit.  Seriously as great as JDM was he was basically Negan right down to the Negan Lean at one point!  

These points don't really fit bad or good but a few things I thought.

I was sad not to see more of the team at the wildlife center from the beginning.  I felt the one guy would have made a great side kick for Rocky!

I was also surprised not to see more to do with the rat that the bad guy and JDM kept alive used more.  I was expecting a post credit scene with them working on the rats DNA

I know as of 4/15/18 IMDB has it rated as 6.4 but I give it a much higher rating.  8.0 because it was just a fun disaster flick!

Oh and seeing a giant gorilla flip off the Rock was worth every penny I paid!

Movie Review: A Quiet Place

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening...whenever it is you have come across this entry.  Today I am checking out the new flick A Quiet Place.  It currently, as of 4/8/18, has a rating of 8.2 with 23,698.  I will give my rating here, and I will say I agree it is right around 8.  

PROS

The acting in the flick is great.  While I have not seen the office or anything John Krasinski has done that I can think of he was pretty good.  I was impressed with everyone actually including the little kids who more than carried their share of the film.  

The CGI was excellent as well.  I will talk more about the monsters later.  

The sound track was excellent and made perfect use of natural sounds and the soundtrack to build the tension and boy was there tension.  I am pretty sure someone screamed during our viewing!  I will say I feel like my heart rate was up at times and even found myself leaning forward a time or two.

CONS (this section will have a spoiler so read at your risk)

There was one major plot hole that could easily have been fixed.  One of the major storylines is that Emily Blunt is with child.  No big deal right, I mean you could be with child before the aliens attack. NOPE!  She got pregnant AFTER the fact, 400ish days after the invasion even!  Honestly how stupid are you if you are having a baby, which are extremely loud, in a world where you have to be silent or you die.  This could have been fixed by saying it was 250 days, then it is possible she was just pregnant when it happened...otherwise it seems very irresponsible and foolish to me!

Another con is that they kind of set up that the electricity goes crazy when the monsters are around.  It happens several times to the lights in the house and even a flashlight from the kid...but not every time.  There is a really cool scene where the boy falls into the grain silo and his sister jump in to help.  Well the kid screamed when he fell so the monster went running.  They are using their flashlight and I'm 98% sure the flashlight did *NOT* flicker.  I was watching for it to see if the characters had put together this happened and used it as an early warning.  Suddenly the monster was in the silo and no flickering (If I missed this I am sorry).  

The other con, and it is not really a con exactly, is the monster was kind of hybrid of the monsters from Stranger Things, Cloverfield and Alien.  Very cool but I thought of stranger things almost immediately!

Overall this is a flick you should check out if you like intense thrillers.  I do not want to call it a horror flick because it is not scary as much as intense and then it scares you.  Yes there are jump scares but they only work because it is so damn intense.  

I don't know if this is a MUST SEE in the theater but you better have a really good sound system or you are missing out on an important character in the flick!

Movie Review: Ready Player One

I have been waiting on this review of Ready Player One because I wanted to think about the flick before writing.  The flick is based on a book of the same name...well maybe inspired by would be better.  It has a 7.9 with 64,101 reviews.

I guess I will start with my personal rating, which is a 6.  Yes lower then average and I will be honest that probably is not fair for me and I might go back and revise that upon further views when it comes out on DVD.

Why a 6 fat man you might be wondering and why do you say it is unfair.  It gets that because it was SO different than the book.  Wait...do not start yelling yet.  Yes I know it cannot be the same as the book and you have to make some changes.  I realize that and I expected that but there were a few things that I felt were completely changed or left out that changed the story from what I enjoyed.  (Do NOT read further if you have not seen the flick/read the book and do not want spoilers)

You have been warned!

The biggest is that Wade is NOT in high school and is actually kind of good in the Oasis.  I thought one of the biggest things in the book was that this kid was poor and a high school student.  He was the complete underdog when it came to this contest.  In the book he practically had to beg borrow and steal just to get to the first key yet now it is just a race and he has the time machine from Back to the Future.

I also did not like that the Og character was basically non-existent in the movie and kind of came off as aloof till the end.  I felt it wasted the great skills that Simon Pegg has and the character itself.

Lastly I did not like that it became this team effort to win when another plot point of the story was that it was everyone for themselves until they HAD to team up to take down the big bad guy.  Here they were all buddy buddy from almost the beginning.

There were other big plot points that I felt were missing as well like the death of one of the "team" in real life and the fact that Wade actually goes into 101's loyalty camps for months to find out information and does this all WITHOUT anyone helping him but I guess that story is as heart warming as a bunch of people taking out an evil corporation.

That is not to say that this was all bad.  If I had not read the book I think I would have enjoyed the flick for what it was.  It was mostly well performed, although the man bad guy was kind of bland and I would have liked to see more over the top but that is just a personal choice.

The graphics/special effects/Oasis was amazing and seeing all the various Universes fighting together was cool.  Although the fact that we got the new ugly Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles instead of the classic 80's animated or comic versions made me a sad panda.  I was also very surprised to not have an appearance for any Transformers since Spielberg was involved in that franchise but that is just me.

The length was okay and did not seem to drag even though it clocked in around 2.5 hours.  There was not a lot of fluff in the flick that could be cut out.  A few minutes here or there but nothing that I saw that was just pointless.

Overall the lower than usual rating comes from change the story more drastically then I think needed.  Oh and the fact that we did not get the Dungeon and Dragons key quest and instead got a stupid car chase bugged me A LOT!  Any 80's nerd would have put the key in the D&D part and not some stupid race with a T-Rex and King Kong.  I did not mind the change to the Shining or leaving out the Monty Python part (although that would have been cooler then what they did) but come on to cut out D&D was just wrong!

Honestly I felt there were not ENOUGH of the nostalgia feel for my early years that I got reading the book and that was probably done on purpose but left me wanting and that is not what you want when you leave a movie.

Worth seeing on the big screen and probably a large format like RPX or IMAX or EXTREME or whatever your theatre of choice has.

6/10 with a * saying that might get modified up a bit upon further viewings.

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening....whenever it is you have found this entry.  Today I am checking out out the bottom 100 flick, #100, It's Pat.  It stars Julia Sweeney, Dave Foley and Charles Rocket.  It currently has a 2.6/10 with 8,911 votes.  "The comedic misadventures of a person of indeterminate gender."  I'd like to remind all my readers that I am watching this so YOU do not have to!

• Kathy Griffith plays a character named Kathy
• Yep....all s/he jokes
• This flick is only 77 minutes and might be too long

• How in the blue hell does this have a 2.6?  I will already give you my rating...it is a 1!  Only because I can't give it a 0!
• The neighbor is going to fall in love with Pat?  Really?

This might be the worst movie ever put on film?  There is NOTHING good about this flick.  NOTHING!  This is Special Dead level of bad.  DO NOT WATCH THIS FILM EVER!

The acting is terrible.  The script is horrible.  Even the soundtrack is bad.  I cannot say ONE good thing about this film.  Not one.  Avoid at all cost!  Maybe the worst movie....ever!

Movie Review: Day of the Dead: Bloodlines

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening...whenever it is you have come across this entry. Today, 02/10/18, I am watching the 2018 flick Day of the Dead: Bloodline.  It stars Sophie Skelton, Johnathon Schaech and Jeff Gum.  "A small group of military personnel and survivalists dwell in an underground bunker as they seek to find a cure in a world overrun by zombies."  It currently has a 3.4 rating with 1,796 votes.  I do not recognize any of the actors in this flick so I have a feeling this is not going to be good.

• She is going to be right, it isn't N1H1
• Did she say 100 times more antibodies...that will come back to play at some point
• Yeah it is normal to carve someones name into your arm
• They spilled more alcohol then they got
• That guy is the dumbest looking doctor I've ever seen!
• Apparently the jump scare in the morgue is right as my wife just about threw her drink just now
• So a zombie just saved a girl from being raped...does that make it a hero?
• Wait...all that drinking and partying is at the hospital?
• Good god this blood spray stuff is plain stupid
• Rotters?  Not a good name...because they don't rot do they?
• Oh good they did the blood splatter on the camera
• So is this just going to be a remake of the remake of the remake of Day of the Dead?
• Some of those are the worst looking soldiers I've ever seen in a movie
• Pretty sure if there is a zombie outbreak keeping the windows rolled up might be rule number one

• Max is a really cool looking zombie, kind of like the one in Fido

• Gonna go after the little girl because he saw Zoe with her
• Where has mom been this whole time?
• The little girl....ran..outside...toward the zombies?
• That makes two jump scares that got the wife.  The last one she said "AHHH...son of a bitch"
• remember that pacing I was saying was good earlier...now not so much....this seems a lot longer than 90 minutes
• Really?  She just pulled the I love you line?

Okay...that was something.  Very similar to the original which I did not care for.  The problem with most zombie movies is that people do stupid stuff and then that keeps the movie going.  For once I would like to see a smartly written zombie flick that bad things still happen in.  Think Scream but for zombies...wait...never mind...no one read that!  If I could create such a flick....

Okay seriously though the dialog left a lot to be desired especially in the jerk military Lieutenant.  The blood effects were over the top most of the time as well.  

However Max had a very creepy feel to him from his Animated Batman Joker smile to the fact that he was not only a zombie but a stalker zombie as well.  

Overall not a horrible movie but I think the 3 that people have given the flick is about right.  It had an interesting idea but overall fell flat which most zombie movies do!

Fuck the NRA

My question is this, how many of the guns used in school shootings have been from "law abiding citizens"? Oh right often they are stolen from these so called law abiding citizens. I'm sorry but my right to LIFE and LIBERTY trumps the 2nd amendment right sunshine.  

I'm not worried about my feelings actually I'm worried about the kids insides. I'm worried about my nieces and nephews who have to live in a Country where we have had a mass shooting roughly every two weeks. And don't talk about how gun control won't fix anything because criminals don't obey the law. Then why is murder illegal? Or drugs? Or anything because by your screwed up logic that means people will do it anyway. You want to wrap yourself in the constitution, you know the one that didn't allow women to vote. Made certain people 3/5 of a person. Is that the constitution you want to wrap yourself in sunshine? Hell if the constitution was perfect this woman wouldn't be allowed to even do this video because she was basically property.  

Isn't it time this country joined the rest of the civilized world? Oh right...we have a constitution to protect us. Lets hand out a copy of that to every kid at school and see if that stops the next gun loving nut job that shoots up a school! As for the NRA they are just short of a terrorist group. Per Websters: "unlawfully using violence and intimidation, especially against civilians, in the pursuit of political aims." Hell I would argue that they are unlawfully using intimidation when they buy political allies. But I won't go that far...for now. From my cold dead hands, remember that speech NRA members?  

Well we had a lot of cold dead hands in Vegas and Sandy Hook and Florida and Pulse Nightclub didn't we. But you keep your guns and keep fighting gun control. Because one day you will look in the mirror and realize that you were wrong. Hopefully it will be before someone who you love is killed with a gun or someone I love. So you keep worrying about a piece of paper and a "tool" whose only purpose is to kill.

Remember this, your refusal to have an actual debate about this is actually pushing people to go to a further extreme. You'll push people far enough and they won't want gun control but the removal of guns. What happens when there are enough young people in charge that they change the constitution and they are illegal? Will all you "law abiding citizens" turn them over? Oh right you have them to protect yourself from the government, the government that you use to keep your guns, so that the government can't take your guns? Yeah figure that logic out and get back to me!

See even Watson cannot follow that logic!  But hug your guns and your kids tonight and if you are a religious person pray to whatever deity you pray to because it has been about two weeks since the last mass shooting...

So to wrap this up I have one thing to say to all you NRA gun nuts....
