2019-10-29 NWA Power Review

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening...whenever it is you have found this entry.  Today I am checking out the 4th episode of NWA power(rr).  It debuted on 2019-10-29.  Will we see a follow up to Nick Aldis, Tim Storm and Eli Drake?  What will happen after James Storm seemed set to kick Colt Cabanas head off his head?  I cannot wait to see what happens!

• I love the recaps each week
• James Storm is a great interview and Colt is a fun interview
• Fun way to start the show, four top guys
• I love the way Nick Aldis is making it important to get a shot.  Give everything or get nothing
• They are really pushing this Kamille storyline and I am intrigued and have no clue where they are going
• I have missed Murdoch
• I do not know what to think about Jocephus but I kind of like the crazy man gimmick
• I love that they are keeping up with the no eye contact rule
• Ricky Starks is getting pushed for sure but I will reserve judgement
• Interesting that they are already doing a No DQ match.  Seems early to start doing big gimmick matches but that is modern wrestling
• Good grief that can not feel good for Eddie
• A headshot with a chair...wow 
• Not seeing it every week makes it more devastating!
• Why did they attack the Dawsons but then help them win?
• I like the announcers are asking the same thing
• What the hell was that?  Patty Cake?
• Roaring Elbow, very well executed
• A nice surprise win for Vox...who needs new ring gear, that top is awful
• What is with the music?  There is no music in the NWA....until now
• Did Stark cheat and hook the trunks?  Sure looked like it to me
• Stevens is more over after the loss I love it!
• Very interesting teams
• I do not get Colt.  He is better than average yet he does all the goofy stuff.  Is it because it is easier and less on his body?  Is he really smarter than the average bear?  I am beginning to think so!
• Anderson can not do that rolling slam very well, nothing like Fit Finlay.  Always think he is going to spike himself and break his own neck

Another good show but another abrupt ending.  Also no follow up to the Drake/Tim Storm issue is disappointing.  Interesting debut for Thunder Rosa and a shocking win for Ashley Vox.  This show seemed slightly off for some reason.  I assume it is because they are setting up the next storylines but the worst show thus far which makes it still better than most of the other shows out there.

2019-10-15 NWA Powerrr Ep 2 Review

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening....whenever you find this blog.  I loved the first episode and cannot wait to see this one. It is wrestling the way I remember and the way I love it....wait...I feel like that is not the NWA tag line but you know what I mean!

• Great recap of Tim Storm and Nick Aldis last week
• It is weird that I feel this show is better produced than a certain show on TNT
• SANDOW IS BACK!
• How has WWE not picked Sandow back up?  If for nothing else to be a manager because the man can talk
• Love that the interviewer is going along with the no eye contact thing, love this already!
• Where did they dig Murdoch up from?  I am a huge fan of his
• It is a little weird with no music but makes them so different
• I want to see Murdoch and Beer City Bruiser as a team!!
• Damn awesome missile dropkick!
• Love that the match ended without a finisher, we need more of that
• Not sure about this Ricky Starks kid because this interview is not all that good
• Is Starks a good guy?  Because he is coming off as heel 
• Colt is a strangely good looking guy.  I am surprised WWE did not use him better....but then again I am not
• Ugggg, he is still doing the stupid asshole thing?
• Already making it like they do not get along, interesting....
• PELE KICK!!!
• Kingsley is taking a hell of an ass-kicking
• I hope they do not keep allowing no hand tags, I hate that as does Corny
• Where did they dig up Tony Falk?  Good grief 
• I have been a fan of Allysin for a while now going back to when she was in Impact
• Damn that was right on her tailbone
• I like this youngster Vox
• Way too many somersaults in wrestling
• I liked Allisyn covered up from the chops instead of just taking it
• OH MY GOD!  I hate that move, that will break someone's neck
• Did they just cut that interview short?
• Tim Storm deserved that standing ovation
• Homicide is looking old
• What is up with Issacs weird wrist stuff?
• The Dawsons are showing up to show they are dominate, love it!
• Camille is a lovely young lady
• Interesting that they are making Aldis kind of a bully but Camille is going along with it

Another great show from the NWA!  Corny and Joe are really starting to gel as a team.  Guys like James Storm and Cabana can carry the younger guys to good matches and help them grow into better performers.  Wild Cards are solid performers and I think this Stark kid might be something special as well.  Another great show and I cannot wait to watch next week.

2019-10-08 NWA Powerrr review

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening....whenever it is you have found this entry.  Tonight I checked out the first episode of NWA power(rr?).  I do not know what to expect.  I know Jim Cornette loved it but he might be biased.  Lets go to my thoughts...

• Tim Storm has such a great old school look!
• Uggg, I already hate the fans chanting NWA
• Corny is looking GREAT!
• Nick looks ike a champion does he not?
• Wow, who is that with Nick? 
• Nick has done a great job of losing his accent but not completely to make it better for us American to understand him
• The J-O-B, throwback to Dusty and Ric!  LOVE IT!
• Already loving this show!!!
• Love what JC just announced the refs name!  They are part of the show too guys
• Love a good squash!
• I can get behind those Dawson Boys!  The one is my bearded brethren!
• Is that really Austin Idol!?!?!
• Honestly, if it was twenty years ago I would be going to learn from Austin Ido
• E-Li-Drake!  Huge fan and surprised NXT did not sign him up
• Two former Impact Stars here and already bigger stars here
• I love the old school feel to the show.  Easily my favourite show in months already!
• I feel like I am watching old school NWA with the show.  I am in wrestling HEAVEN...minus the fans....
• Who is Jocephus but I like him!

• How has Eddie Kingston not been on a national stage?
• I think Jocephus is one of my new favourites!
• And that fast I guess he is not going to be featured going forward
• I hope at 50 I look 25% as good as Tim Storm!
• That was bad, Aldis going across the ring after a buckle shoot
• FIGURE FOUR!!!
• That is the first time that I have heard an announcer say that it affects both legs just differently....which it does!
• Uggg, I hate wrestling fans and their chants and shits
• I hope they do not have Storm tap, just have him pass out
• Why are the fans chanting NWA instead of Storm?

That is easily my favourite show in months as I said earlier.  The pacing was fantastic!  The old school feel (minus the stupid fans chanting the companies name instead of the wrestlers) was awesome.  The wrestlers are old school.  I love Aldis and Storm (both of them).  The tag team of the Dawsons is old school and fun.  Corny is easily my favourite announcer right now (sorry JR).  This is what wrestler was growing up and I loved it.  Forget AEW this is the wrestling show EVERY fan should be watching!!
