Good morning, good afternoon, good evening....whenever it is you have found this entry.  I am back after a break to deal with some health issue, both myself and my wife, to resume watching wrestling!  Today, 2021-04-30, I am checking out last nights Impact show.  We are fresh off their recent PPV and their relationship with AEW is going strong.  I think we should see what will happen now!

• I miss hearing Striker every week on WWE because he sounds real and has so much passion
• No rematch clause?  That makes no sense, why would Swann agree to that?
• I like this Jake Something the few times I have seen him
• Bey is very good but just not my style match
• Oh great we will get constant updates on Omega....blarg
• A lot of camera cuts here, did they go to the Kevin Dunn school of directing?
• Nice spin kick by Bey
• If Something got into a real developmental type environment, old OVW or NXT, he would be a star!
• Seriously?  Jake is not in the number one contenders match yet?  He should be!
• I always liked the around the corner shot that Impact does like they are spying on the guys
• Is it that exciting that Taylor is back?  Do many people remember her?
• Big Cass shows up and looks like a star for sure!
• Oh yeah now I remember why Big Cass did not do a lot of talking back in WWE
• I am surprised that they did not rename Cass Adam or Copeland since he looks so much like Edge IMO
• The Knockouts cannot really talk, at least from what I am seeing thus far
• The Curator?  
• I like Willie Mack in the ring but he is not great on the mic
• Is Taylor suppose to be a version of Lacey Evans?  I honestly do not really remember Taylor much
• Was she making Taylor smell her shoe?  
• Those kicks were in slow motion
• Wait...did she miss without Taylor moving?
• Oh I guess Taylor got the knees up but really Kimber just overshot
• I think that is Triple H's WCW finish
• Dear lord how big is Moose's head?
• This sounds weird, but I feel like Josh is almost too deliberate.  I do not mean start doing more moves but have a sense of urgency in the attack.  He is not a monster that should be deliberate.  If he was in a freestyle wrestling match he would not be this deliberate and he should wrestle like that
• So many head palm whips now that Cornette has pointed it out 
• Are there any male wrestlers without tat sleeves anymore?
• That series was way too choreographed for my taste with all the handstands and what not
• What was that weird implant DDT move?  
• Josh wisely grabbing his knee to sell that Ace missed the senton
• More Callis really?
• Wow these Knockout segments are painful, Bella Twin painful
• These two are feuding but are they still doing their figure podcast?
• Always ready?  Out Work everyone else?  AEW and Impact must use the same tag line team
• So I see Bey and Something in the six way but either of these guys?  I am sorry but neither of these guys should be competing for a World Title till they have rehabbed that WWE undercard stink off them
• And that is not meant that they do not deserve to be near or at the top but optics are what optics are!
• Does Impact use a smaller ring than the other companies?  It seems very small but it could be the angle they use
• When El Phantasmo is in the Bullet Club you know they have jumped the shark, like Stevie Ray in the nWo
• Seriously comparing these two to Joker and Batman is horrible D-Lo!
• I do not get Sami Callihan, I do not.  He is one of those guys that seems to always be around and I do not get why.  He seems sloppy in the ring
• 30 seconds in and Omega is already shaking the ropes!
• Is anyone excited about a Kenny Omega & Sami Callihan match?
• Those were some weakass shots by Omega to Finlay

A good solid show.  Nothing came off as groundbreaking.  You have the Omega stuff which I do not like because I think he is the most overhyped wrestler in the last twenty years but some people love him I guess.  The ratings do not show it people say it!  Overall solid show but there really is not anything I would say must see!  They kept the silliness to a minimum which is good!  As would have liked to have one less Don Callis segment but they told a story throughout so I am okay with it.  Solid wrestling and that is something that some shows, AEW I am looking at you, needs!

2021-02-23 Impact

 

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening....whenever it is you have found this entry.  Today, 2021-02-24, I am checking out last nights Impact.  We are deep in the working relationship for Impact and AEW so I am sure that will play into things here.  I think it is time to go friend out!

• Interesting that Taya is still in the intro considering she is in NXT now.  
• Who is that horrible announcer?
• Is that Matt Striker?  
• Seriously who are there announcers?
• I think it is Striker, I am excited if it is!
• I am more interested in who the announcers are not the match and that is sad
• Something is going to get picked up by WWE in the future I believe as he seems to be a good-sized guy
• This has not been a horrible match but I am just not into it.  To be fair it is probably because I have not been following Impact closely so I do not know the story
• Uggg, they are putting in fake noise too.  It is just not overwhelming
• D-LO!  THAT IS D-LO BROWN!
• MOOSE!
• I feel like if Monty Brown was still wrestling he would be in this spot
• Scott D'Amore gets his own theme music?
• I do like the fire that Scott shows on camera
• You believe he believes
• Willie Mack is the only guy in this match that feels like a star
• Decay is still around?
• Is this Mantaur 2.0?
• So these guys are fighting to fight each other?  
• JESUS A POWERBOMB ON THE KNEE!!
• What was that by Alexander?
• I hope Willie is okay after that bad bump!
• Of course, the one guy that looks like a star is the one that takes the fall
• Wait...are they the death dealers or decay?  I am confused
• Tony Khan is SO bad
• Wow Ryan looks just like his brother and sounds like him too
• This is a HORRIBLE segment, it is sad that AEW is trying to get viewers from Impact
• I love the plugging by the Good Brothers
• Why Striker is not the lead announcer on Raw is beyond me!  The best announcer in the business now that he is back.  
• Larry and Acey can move for their size
• Well the one thing that made Larry special was his size and Doc already destroyed that with the throwaway slam
• While Acey can move he needs to lose some weight or he is in trouble in a few years
• Want to stand out in pro wrestling?  Do NOT get any tattoos
• Damn Gallows can throw a boot
• Finjuice is a HORRIBLE name
• Well XXXL can never be taken seriously after that basic squash
• This segment....that is one of the worst segments I have ever seen!
• New York titles?
• Sorry, Matt, Eddie is not in that conversation because he is in Impact
• Are they making fun of Stephen P. New?
• I wonder what is in Hernandez background that stops him from getting signed by WWE
• That is the best call, the way D-Lo is selling that apron spot
• That was really weird, Hernandez went up when Edwards was in a bad spot and then just sat there
• Jazz wears a mask now and a jail jumpsuit.  Okay
• Susan wears the jacket to wrestle?
• Stiff looking crossfaces
• I do not think ODB cares she was just kicked out
• Why did Kimber just sit there waiting for that blow?
• Susan seems like she is a step behind the rest of the girls
• Jordynne just could not get that float over after the spinebuster
• That move looks like it is an inch away from a broken neck
• That acting with Jordynne and Jazz was cringe-worthy
• I kind of like this Jake Something
• Damn it!  I hate that run into the buckles yourself as hard as you are thrown into them
• We just saw that leg trip spot in the Edwards match
• The turned up the crowd noise
• Three short clotheslines and nothing
• WHAT A HEADBUTT!!
• What a vertical by Moose
• Wait....is Moose actually selling the superplex even though he did the move?  He is my new favourite person!
• WTF?  RICH SWANN IS HERE!  SCOTT LIED!!

This was not a great show.  Not horrible but not great.  The best thing on the show was the announcing.  I love Striker.  He is over the top but I like that because he seems genuinely excited.  I also realize that there are a lot of green ladies in pro wrestling right now, which is not a bad thing but so many are rushed to TV sadly.  AEW and Impact are full of them.  Overall this is just...they need to cut this show down to 60 minutes and cut out things like the Casino segment or the backstage shit.

Today, the last day of July in the worst year in history 2020, I am going to check out the recent Impact show.  It has been a long, long, LONG time since I have checked out an episode of Impact Wrestling so I have no clue what is going on on their show but lets go to the tape!

• I think someone said this on twitter but is EC3 the long lost son of Kurrgan?
• Uggg, so Josh Matthews is still on show....
• Seriously it is Josh and Madison Rayne as our announcers?  Lets hope it is not as bad as it sounds
• Mack channeling Screaming Norman with that slam on the floor
• I have come to the point that I hate to see tattoos on wrestlers
• Bey is a hell of an athlete I will say that
• Does Matthews have the Shawn Michaels eye thing?  He looks as bad as Perry Saturn or Jim Duggan!
• Where did they find that mic?  The 90's?
• No we all pretty much knew you were going to Impact Machine Gun brother
• No, you are not the best tag team in the world, that is FTR sorry guys, nothing wrong with being number two to that team!
• What is that?  Ace Austin?
• Ace nor Karl were good on the mic tonight sorry
• I am kind of sorry to see that Heath had to go to Impact
• Ugggg, this segment iwth Chris Bey is bad
• These two feel like bad Sasha cosplay wrestlers
• These four already look better than half of the AEW female stars
• I love Havoc, always have!
• Nevaeh has been wrestling for 16 years?  Is Steelz and Hogan that green because she looked bad at points 
• Oh my god I hate Katie Forbes already!
• Well that was nearly pointless, guess Hernandez is not long for this world
• No one said the Machine Guns invented tag team wrestling I don't thin
• What have they done to Kylie Rae?
• Does every company have an open challenge champion now?
• I forgot how good EY is on the mic
• Trey Miguel getting a title shot feels like when Bret Hart wrestler Virgil
• Does anyone think that Bahh is going to win this match?
• Did Rosemary just wink at the camera basically?
• Wow more teleporting in wrestling, good grief
• Crazy Steve is back....and he talks?
• Wrestle House?  GOOD GRIEF!
• Quite a few Michigan boys on the show and I like to see the Mighty MI represent!
• Those are some ugly belts!
• Shelley and Sabin are so damn good.  I wonder why they have not been signed to NXT honestly
• This team of the North is pretty good in the ring.  I have only seen then once maybe but I like them!
• Quit saying this team or that team is the best team in the world, that is FTR damn it!
• I love the Norths teamwork, same with the Guns.  These are tag teams!
• Sabin a little show to get to the top there and made Page look kind of silly just standing there
• I say this a lot but there sure are more somersaults in wrestling than I ever remember
• This ref is pointless
• Very nice finishing sequence!

Overall not a bad show.  The Knockouts tag match was bad and Katie Forbes made me want to puncture my eardrums.  The "Wrestle House" looks bad as well, WWE bad.  The announcing...well it was there right?  I have heard worse at times.  Overall I am interested in seeing where they go with some familiar faces and some possible talent.

2019-10-04 Impact

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening....whenever it is you found this.  Today I am looking at the 2019-10-04 Impact Wrestling show.  I will admit I have not watched Impact for probably a year.  So I am not up with the storylines or anything like that.  Let us see how they have improved.....

• Wow, Sami Callihan is still around in Impact huh?
• Madison Rayne still looks amazing!
• Is that Josh Matthews?  That is who they have doing announcing huh?  I sure did not miss Impact
• Uggg, Josh is talking about Halloween and he is just awful
• I am less than 5 minutes into the show and I am reminded how awful the announcing is 
• Is that official 16?
• This match is horrible, not a great reintroduction to Impact
• So Madison Rayne left ROH and possibly NXT for this?  
• Wow that was...um...something.  That was one of the worst TV matches I have seen in a while
• Tommy Dreamer is looking old!
• Johnny Swinger?!?!?! Seriously?  Where did they dig Swinger up from?
• Wow, Cyrus is fricking talking carney!  Good grief I am about to mute this
• What is with all the pointing in wrestling!
• Rob Van Dam is in a tag team now?  How the mighty have fallen
• Reno Scum....um....yeah
• 'Member when Eddie Edwards was one of the biggest stars?  I 'member
• Listen to the crowd, it is like there are 4 people are there!
• This is like a trainwreck and I cannot look away
• Even the fans are broke and have pieces of paper instead of poster board signs
• The fans are about as excited as I am for this...and that is not very
• These guys look like people off the street of Vegas, not wrestlers
• Should I care about these guys?  I know this is the first time in months...or longer...since I watched but these guys are not stars
• I ask again why is there so much pointing in wrestling?!
• Tessa is the first person on this show to look like a star
• Ken Shamrock is looking OLD!
• I hate to say it but Havok has gained some weight
• So many Impact stars had/have great potential yet they are there in almost the minor league

This show as bad.  I know I do not know the characters but none of them look like stars.  Most of them look like fans that became wrestlers but never became good.  Guys like Elgin or TJP or Madison Rayne or Tessa Blanchard are fantastic but then you have oVe which just makes it look so minor league.

I hope with AXS things increase but we shall see
