2020-01-04 MLW Fusion

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening....whenever it is you have found this entry.  Today I am checking out my first MLW show, from the first of this year, 2020-01-04.  I am not sure what is going on in MLW at this point but let us find out what is going on with MLW

• You have to say that you believe what Mance is saying when he talked which is the first sign of a good promo
• This might be the worst intro ever in wrestling!
• This show looks very low budget, probably because of the arena they are in.  Looks very small, guess not low budget
• Look at Lawlor's ears!
• Of course the real great Von Erich, Lance!
• Why is this insulting, Lance was a Von Erich, I saw him on WCCW TV!
• What is up with Tom's ring gear?
• This is probably not the best first match for someone to see of MLW
• And the crowd goes mild for this great angle
• Is that Mike Mondo?  HE IS HUGE!
• Uggg, Jimmy Havoc is on MLW?  I am NOT a fan
• Wow Davey Boy Smith Jr. is looking OLD!  It has been years since I have seen him but wow
• MJF!  I LOVE IT!
• Good grief even the ref has horrible tats
• Davey looks like a buff Forrest Gump!  Right down to the weird look
• Why are they arguing with the greatest wrestler in the business MJF?
• Could Davey had swung any slower at Holliday?
• Wow...are we sure that this is Brian Pillman Jr?  He does not look like his dad at all!
• How stupid is Kotto Brazil hair?
• This show seems to have taken all the annoying parts of ECW and use them
• This Contra unit is interesting but I do not get Simon being on it
• Fatu is a MONSTER!
• Why is there so much pointing in wrestling now?
• Fatu should not be doing that kind of stuff on TV.  A handstand moonsault should be a holy shit moment from Fatu, not a transition move!
• Is it a 20 count or 200 count on the outside?

Well that was a show I guess.  There was nothing there that made me think this was a great show.  The opening segment was not good at all, with Lawlor and whatnot being great.  I enjoyed the Davey Boy match but went a little long.  I LOVE Jacob Fatu and dear lord he could be a huge star in AEW or WWE!  However, that match was just moves.  It made little sense.  

I am sure if I know the storylines I would enjoy the show more and I will continue to watch because any wrestling is good wrestling!

2020-06-24 AEW

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening....whenever it is you have found this entry.  Today, 2020-06-26, I am checking out AEW Dynamite from 2020-06-24.  We have a Lumberjack match, FTR in action and more!

• How stupid do the best friends look?
• Wardlow is such a bad dumb name
• Good grief Marco Stunt looks like a little girl
• Well the Lumberjacks already not doing their jobs
• I just watch 45 minutes of wrestling and did not see a summersault but 4 minutes into this show a giant in Wardlow does one
• These two need to have a veteran in the ring with them to have good matches I think.  They are both inexperienced
• Does every match have a trade of punches or kicked?
• Why are these big men doing moves from the cruiserweights in a basic TV match?  Do it on the big shows
• Why are the lumberjacks not doing what they are supposed to?
• How many times are we going to do the everyone stands around bit?  Apparently at least one more for that shooting star press
• Seriously why is MJF still with these losers?  He should be after the Title not two midgets and a dinosaur
• What was the point of that match?  To bury Velvet and have her attack Ford?  Just have her attack Ford and not bury Velvet
• Look at Fat Gangrel there...oh I mean Luther
• Veins in his neck?  How could you tell with that horrible tat?
• How stupid is that guy standing behind Cody?  I know they do that in real press conferences but good grief
• Cody likes pro wrestling then why does he hang out with the Bucks and Omega?
• Is that Hagers wife?  
• Good grief this is the worst segment I have ever seen and I watched Heroes of Wrestling!
• Sonny & Joey look like a job team about to get destroyed by Demolition in the 80's
• And Janela looks like a jobber from cable access
• My copy of Dynamite is just black but I can hear the action
• Well I guess we know where the team of Cabana and Lee stand if they are struggling with these two
• So this is a tornado match right?  Because Aubrey has don't nothing to keep the rules
• So it takes 10 minutes for the team but Archer can destroy both in a minute?
• Here we go!  FTR!  Best thing in wrestling today
• They need better music!
• Two great teams, I cannot wait to see this match
• Dax looks weird without the chops
• Must be hot there, everyone really sweating
• I do not like to see FTR taking those big falls like that, especially on TV
• It is weird that FTR seems to be wrestling like babyfaces
• VEG-O-MATIC!
• I LOVE IT!
• Can we just have FTR matches every week against real teams like these guys
• That segment was painful, they should never have Chuck or Trent talk on TV again
• I love these type matches, just having a monster destroy a guy
• So I want an FTR match and a Taz interview each week please
• We did NOT see a lot of action in that press conference unless you include throwing water in someones face
• Big Swole is just not interesting
• This is a fine match for what it is but Matt just is not that interesting in AEW.  He is not unique in the sense of being the one over the top unbelievable character.  
• Jericho trying to elevate Cassidy is just sad
• That is what should happen, it should be 30 seconds before Judas Effect and done but they will probably have Orange go over
• I am embarrassed for Jericho right now

I feel like I am bi-polar watching AEW.  You have great matches like FTR and SCU then you have horrible segments like Sonny and Joey.  You have interesting segmets like Technique and then you have Jericho and Orange.  Now to be fair Jericho and Orange are just not my cup of tea but I get that people like Orange...why I will. never know.  Overall an okay show.

1994-01-29 WCW Pro

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening....whenever it is you have found this entry.  Today, 2020-06-26, I am checking out the Jan. 29th 1994 episode of WCW Pro.  I know these are a little out of order but it as I get them at times!  We have Johnny B. against Slazenger, Jim Steele in action and The Boss, Ric Flair and Sting against Ron Simmons, Steve Austin and Rick Rude from Saturday Night.  Enough talk lets get to the ring!

• Two underrated guys here
• The fans into JBB
• That was a quick match and sadly JBB kind of screwed up the finish
• This is the Vader we should have got in WWF.  Imagine if we had!
• MVP of WCW in 1994 Dustin Rhodes in the ring.  Throw in Regal and JBB and you had the men who carried the company in my opinion
• So this match will go 20 or so minutes and go 50-50 right?  Oh wait this is not 2020 my bad
• Another good showing for Dustin
• Surprised that Steele is not barefoot
• The Thesz Press is the WORST finisher ever
• If I was Al I would...well I would run
• Vader was a monster at this point.  Every time I see him here I think about what Vince should have done with him
• All six of these guys are in the HOF so think about the talent!
• I have said before how much I like Ray Traylor and this might be him as this best in the ring
• Same with Sting and Austin honestly
• If you had to draw what a wrestler looked like you would draw Rick Rude I think
• Fans want Sting, interesting that it is not flair.  But then again Flair as a face just never really worked
• Love the drop toe hold by Simmons and that Solie actually mentioned it
• A sunset flip by Boss?  The first time ever for that?

A decent show.  Nothing special and matches we have seen before but all decent matches.  The only thing I would say to hunt down would be the Vader match because he is so physical!

Classic Wrestling Review: 1994-01-23 WCW Main Event

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening....whenever it is you have found this entry.  Today, 2020-03-06, we are going back to 1994, the Jan. 23rd edition of WCW Main Event.  We have Z-Man against DDP, The Nastys and Harlem Heat is taking on the team of Maxx Payne and Cactus Jack!  Let us go our open contest involving the tag team champs!

• I love Missys hair like that!
• That was almost clubbering, 3 fists but not 4
• I wonder if anyone now or even back then remember when Pez was a mainstay of Crockett
• Knobbs calling someone ugly is crazy!
• Hardwork Bobby Walker is on for the first time I remember!
• Austin's hair cut was awful back at this point
• That was an ugly stungun!
• Look how trashy DDP looked at this point.  Looked like he just got off the road after driving truck for a week
• Z-Man a contender for the World Title?  In what world there Tony?
• That was a really sloppy match, you could tell DDP was still finding himself.  
• Boy that was a messy tag team match.  I have noticed that these two teams do not mesh at all
• Who did not see the Nasty Boys attacking?

This was not a good show at all.  Honestly not one match was good and that is weird to say with Austin on the show.  I cannot suggest this show.  Nothing worth watching here.

Wrestling Review: Santino Bros Wrestling present At Last 2020-01-04

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening.....whenever it is you have found this entry.  Today, 2020-02-28, I am checking out the Santino Bros Wrestling show At Last from 2020-01-04.  I have not seen anything from this company so let us go to the ring and find out if this is any good.

• Why are they airing the hype man?  Is that the new thing in indy PPV wrestling?  I have seen others do it and it is horrible
• How old is Gates?  16?
• The sound system is horrible, I cannot really hear what Phoenix is saying
• Is that Romero guy related to Fluffy?
• No announcers huh?  Oh wait there we are....wait....are they broadcasting it throughout the arena?  Interesting
• Okay, I love that finish!  I have always wondered why you do not see guys do that more often
• Is this Raw because so far we have only heard a bunch of talking!
• Does that woman have a beard?
• I do not think it is a woman actually just a female like voice
• The security guards are bigger than most of the wrestlers
• Yeah why announce the wrestlers so people know who people are
• Why did he just stand there and let Ruby slap him?  
• Did they say his name was Rob Shit?
• Good grief they just did a spot for a bunch of people standing around with security and then throwing a guy.  If that NEVER happens again in wrestling it will be too soon
• Why do they keep turning their back on their opponents?
• Uggg, intergender wrestling.  So stupid!
• Who are these announcers?  
• So his punch is worthless since the Viva did not sell it at all as she was posing moments later
• Opening contest?  We already had two matches!
• Why are there so many somersaults these days
• This is just stupid.  I would be ashamed to have put this on TV
• I am shocked the fans are not chanting this is awesome
• He is not being bent back at all, that is why that move is so bad
• This tag match is much better than the first half-hour of this show for sure
• Why are there four people in the ring for this long?  Why have a ref in there at all
• Why are they blurring their butts/  They have thongs on you can tell
• Was that a three-count?  What just happened?
• What a sloppy ending
• That kind of tire iron is not a good weapon sunshine
• Why did you not come out for the battle royal than Heather?
• Seriously another intergender match?
• I hate the fans and their stupid "One Fall" bullshit
• Nice, a Clue reference from this nameless faceless announcer
• Damn Brown took a vicious DDT
• For an intergender match that was not horrible
• Look at those four "men".  Several of them look to still be in high school.  Nothing wrong with that but they look like children basically
• I am just going to say that this is stupid.  Thumbtacks and doors?  Honestly?
• Really?  Security is holding the ladder?
• What a stupid trainwreck
• The show has got better as it has gone along

So far this is very much a wrestling school show.  The further along the better it was.  This is not a knock on the performers at all.  Some of them just probably should not be in front of the crowd yet.  Yes I realize that me saying this having never been in the ring seems wrong that is why I am not bashing the performers.  I cannot do what they do but I do know good from bad.  I think many of the performers could have good careers.  I really liked Heather Monroe and Andy Brown seemed to have the charisma.  Atlas is down in NXT now training so he is good and I am impressed with Munoz as well.  Overall those early matches would have been fine for the live crowd but probably should not be put out there for people to watch.  Also, the Warfare match was a joke and has no place on a school show in my opinion.  Overall a fine show and I will be looking forward to seeing more Santino Bros shows
